I totally agree with that. Hell sooner or later these cudes will be making 0.01 cents per month...

But for now the overclocking the extra 80 watts is totally worth it.

I wonder how much 80 watts cost for an entire month?

say $0.15/KwH

30 days in a month

((80wH*24hrs*30)/1000)*0.15

you arrive at 57.6Kw, so $8.64/month extra for those 8Ghash

Which is WAY worth it.. 8 gh/s will get you 50-80$ a month per http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator

For now atleast

thanks for the pic.  Looking at the specs it takes another 80 watts to pull another 8 or so hash.  Hardly efficient at all.  I wouldn't bother at all as it would be more efficient and cheaper all round to purchase another one I suspect.

this is the miner I'm talking about. The best 30 gh/s miner on the planet.

It's in the Custom Hardware subforum.  Sidehack has been working on this and did a great job with the block erupter blades.

I don't personally know of the miners you refer to but I expect you would need more power to increase further... increasing supply or lowering resistance.  I'm not sure its worth risking the damage you may cause them.  Increasing power often has implications for other components, and then there becomes the problem of what to do with excess heat.. etc.  Maybe cooling them more allows them to work more effectively, maybe its a negligible difference, I don't know, but i would do that before I went replacing resistors or power supplies.

I own several Cube Miners the square black ones that can interlock and stack. They are network miners that connect to Mining_Proxy.exe. You access them via a browser and the IP of the miner. They have a built in overclocking ability to select clock speed which can over clock it by selecting High.

My question is there a known method out there for overclocking it more. Maybe via the firmware, settings or hardware or even something else.

let me know thanks.
