I would steer clear of Amagi Metals.  They have censored their Facebook page by deleting some low ratings and also some negative comments instead of addressing them.

I ordered from Amagi over a year ago and had no problems.

However, I have to say the free shipping offer of JM is tempting.

Good luck whatever you choose.

Main problem with Amagi - super slow processing of the orders. After you place an order they will order from big supplier and then ship it to you

After JM Bullion started to accept BTCs - you dont need any other companies.

Best prices and free shipping. Have silver, gold, platinum and palladium.

I asked them if they would accept escrow. This is what I got:

Thanks for your interest in purchasing from Amagi Metals. From what I can tell, all the poor reviews were left before the ownership change of Amagi Metals. Amagi Metals was purchased end of August 2015 by Anthem Vault. Unfortunately, we do not have any sort of escrow services available and we use Bitpay as our payment processor. Shipping times vary based on inventory in our shipping offices from 2 - 10 business days and we provide tracking the evening your order ships via e-mail.
Please let me know if I can assist with any questions and thanks again for your interest.
Regards,
Jillian Batty

I also noticed that their acquirer, Anthem Vault, has a BBB rating of A+, but only one review. I'll see.

I have bought from them under both the old and new management. They were faster the last time I bought, for what it's worth. They did not scam me and I trusted them with quite a bit of BTC.

I believe they had a change of ownership which is when the gripes started. Before that they were golden. Facebook ratings and online reviews can be bought. I'd be trusting the former ratings more.

Do you have any recommendations on places to buy silver using BTC?

I have bought gold a few times from providentmetals.com with BTC.  All purchases were successful, all orders arrived in about a week after payment.  I have no complaints.  Their selection is quite good.

Their parent company apparently refines gold & silver as well as making their own silver coins.

This question is really off-topic but heck op. I thought avatars are only for Full Members and higher ranked?
Yet you're a newbie and you have an avatar. How wearing an avatar become possible for you...

Very old newbie accounts (accounts that were created a long time ago, but didn't post) can have avatars...

Back on topic: https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=016660200577587308545%3Aesf40ml9aag&ie=UTF-8&q=amagi+scam&sa=Google+search#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=amagi%20scam&gsc.page=1
I haven't used them, but since there are a lot of topics made about them with a [SCAM] or [BEWARE]-tag, i would be carefull, and do my homework before purchasing from their site!!!
On the other hand, if you read the topics above, amagimetals seems to be defending their honor in most of these scam-accusations, and they still seem to have green trust, so they might have been victim of a competitor or something...

*Sorry if this topic is in the wrong place

I am looking into purchasing some metals in BTC and I stumbled across Amagi Metals. I feel that this is a scam - they have a BBB rating of F, and a Yelp rating of 3/5 stars. However, they have a Facebook rating of about 4/5, and there are some positive reviews online. Has anyone done business with this company? Experiences?

Thanks!
