Is anyone using privacy coins other than Monero (e.g. Zcash or Dash) or is Monero the only privacy coin people are using for both payments and storing value?

Under my experience I stored many anonymous coins called DeepOnion, but it was a total failure, as Holder as in the project, because the project promised a lot, but his only mistake was to have left a Moderator who took the investors with groceries, then what It happened was a general Dumpeo, and already with the price dropped it never got up, however, I sold all those coins, because the truth I do not see future to that currency, it is a pity, because not only for that reason it went down but for not listed in a Level 1 Exchange.

Now the best thing is to trust coins that have had a clear maturity, for now I've always liked Monero, and I'm a fan of Monero because it's really used and it's impossible to track.

Zcash is a great project as is Grin. Looking forward to Elixxir which will compete with zcash and dash but has even greater privacy by obscuring metadata. Will be interesting to see

I believe apart from monero and dash, Veil is also a privacy token. I've been following it for some time. It's has possibility for staking, mining and as use for payment. You can give it a try. Would also love to know the other privacy coins available

Well, I make use of dash even much more than I make use of monero, this is because as we all know that the crypto market is a free market and everyone is free to choose what platform they want to make use of, I believe that's why we have a lot of competitors in the market. I am a blockchain developer and I have developed an habit of reading the source code of any project before making use of the project and I found dash very interesting that's why I decided to make use of dash as my privacy coin.

komodo is really interesting coin for private transactions. there are lot of others things as well like 51% attack protection, each asset created on komodo have their own chain etc.. very interesting stuff going on.

PRIVACY WITHOUT COMPROMISE
I used these coins, I can not say that it is difficult, because everything is very simple. As well as the use of any other cryptocurrency. Therefore, I see no problems here, only advantages.

Monero is the winner of privacy coins battle because they force all transaction use privacy feature.
Zcash have interesting privacy technology as well, but Zcash don't force transaction use it's privacy feature which weaken privacy for those who use shielded transaction.

DASH isn't even privacy coin, it just uses CoinJoin which managed by it's master nodes. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency also can do it with right wallet (such as Wasabi or JoinMarket) or services.

I use monero, zcash, and dash but not more than to trade. I have a problem to pay with all of those coins because it's not many stores online which accepting those coin and they prefer to accept bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin for the payment. Maybe we need to wait for more to see that coin will be the next alternative coin payment besides of bitcoin.
I prefer to use monero than zcash and dash, and I don't know why but I like monero than the other coin.

Monero has secured its spot over the years. I don't really trust the other two coins you mentioned. Zcash is a dev coin where you get taxed to support the devs and Dash is a premined/instamined centralized shit which you shouldn't be hodling.

The only legit alternative to monero is Grin but it still needs a year or two before it gets a stabilized price like monero.

I would try Grin If I were you just to see how it works.

*also you need to move this topic to the altcoin forum.*

Coinmarketcap.com shows that people value Dash and Zcash. What does this have to do with Bitcoin?

that site doesn't show "usage" though, it is only showing the trading volume and that has nothing to do with usage (what OP is asking for although his question is a bit vague).
