It interferes with manual game settings control. Too bad it sounds similar to GirlFriend Experience that is a good service.

Yeah, I avoid the auto tuning too, just keep it for the drivers.

I thought of the same thing, I guess the person who named it must have some experience in that Grin

Catalyst is necessary for GPU settings tuning. There is no way around unless it is headless machine accessed by SSH

GeForce Experience is total crap, it must not be installed. It interferes with manual game settings control. Too bad it sounds similar to GirlFriend Experience that is a good service.

If you're not playing games, that thing isn't essential. After all, your mobo might have its own dedicated GPU.

Just like NVIDIA and its GeForce Experience which tunes game settings.

I have 1 Gb of Ram, I guess that's why when I uninstall it, I feel I gained a lot of performance. Also, because I formated my PC recently, and I noticed the before and after Catalyst. May be if I would have had more junk on it, Catalyst wouldn't have make big difference.
With 1GB of RAM You should use WindowsXP and ATI drivers from same year the video card were released. I guess from year 2006 or 2007 will work fine with no performance hit.

Do not use standart Windows drivers or You will get no acceleration and all features hardware is capable. So ATI drivers are absolutely needed. Do not trust Windows saying it takes a lot of resources. It takes them, but for a reason.

It’s required for certain operations. Maybe you don’t use it and could get away without it.

I find out Catalyst takes a lot of resources, and it delays a lot the start up. Also, Windows seems to handle pretty well Ati cards, so, anybody that have good reasons to have it installed? Huh
