What do you think about banner advertising? Is it effective for ICO's?
Some people are thinking that's so shady to advertise the ico through the banner or it seems there is no a lot of interest in the social group of the projects itself. But it's not effective in my opinion.
The banner means nothing but if the project deliver very good idea to the community and there is a lot of interest without using banner.
It can be added as additional way.

Am I the only one that doesn’t trust ICO’s that are advertising non-stop with banners and etc.?

A good project don’t need that kind of aggressive advertising Wink

What do you think about banner advertising? Is it effective for ICO's?
I think banner advertisements are very effective for ICO programs and with their excellent promotions, they will have a good impact on their projects as well. So far I have considered that ICO projects should do that if their project want to succeed.

Yes the effectiveness of banner advertising like any other form of ads depends on a lot of factors. The attractiveness of the banner, placement of the banner, the website showing the banner and the wordings on the banner are some factors to consider when doing banner ads.
Thanks

Yes. If it is a part of your remarketing campaign targeted to people who already visited your site (or specific pages/events on site) - it is a good strategy to "hook" them back - to offer definite segmented messages based on their behavior. It also takes your tuning and integration of Google Analytics (audiences) and Google AdWords (Display Network, Gmail, Youtube)

It depends on where you put a banner. If you have a banner on faucet website, probably you waste your money, because they have unreal and shity traffic. But if you buy a banner to place on websites like coinmarketcap or similar most popular crypto related website, you have a big chance to get fine feedback audit from there.
Place where people going just to do one task are not too desirable for advertisement.
I concur. Basically, not all who sell banner advertisement are effective but rather you should be selective and be wise to choose among these. Also, in faucets, the exposure of your paid banner is small and people tend to not trust the dusplayed advertisement there. But if we take coinmarketcap for example, a lot of people stayed longer in this site and they have a mobile app which will maximize the exposure of you paid banner. Since it is trusted, people will have the courage to view since they know phising links are filtered out very well.

Any kind of ad just like banned or anything related to advertising will became successful but all things are dependable on where did you put your banner, since if you put it on unpopular site then your project will turn as shit but if you select to pay huge money and placed it on more popular site and any other related things then you will surely get success on that thing.

Effective or not, it depends where you advertise.

If you advertise your ICO in a fashion blog/site then most probably you will not get any result.

This also goes for faucet, as loughlin said faucet traffic is shitty and another reason could be faucet users are newbies and they most probably will not invest in ICOs. Experienced crypto users don't visits faucets normally afaik.

You may get effective results if you advertise in crypto news sites, famous crypto blogs, top level crypto related sites - such as coinmarketcap.
