Many things has been said which all is very protective against any fraud occurance, first verify the notification if it align another is that of contacting official this just the two major thing that can solve this problem any other aspect is just jamboree.

For me contact to the team or official is the best way as much they give attention to their customers and would not like to loose customer they will give you respond as well check if they are having threat as regards to scammers cloning their sight. If it them changing their user interface they will also let you to avoid story that touched the bone, you don't need to become a victim but learn from others experience.

I checked my binance and saw this notification and it requires me to do some task but dont know much about it and don't want to fall into trouble after hearing warning from people in this forum. So here is the message on my binance. so do i procced with the step on how to claim it?
Please it will be a nice one if the knowledgeable one about this will reply me thanks.

Firstly, I want to condemn the color combination used for that ads. Binance is fund of using either black, white or yellow as their brand colors. If you find a purple color mixed as Binance colors then you have t start some probings from the app you have downloaded.

It is possible to have an app with a similar name as Binance, if scammers decided to want to perpetrate their evil deeds, they can clone any app and use it to cary out their fraudulent acts.
If it is truly a Binance app then you have to reachout to support.

yes Binance has launched a similar giveaway program which you can view here https://www.binance.com/en-NG/my/wallet/account/payment/binancepay/sharecryptoboxes
In this, you have to invite your friends who need to claim their Red Packet, once your friend has claimed the red packet you will also get 1 red packet which you can use on above mentioned page or in the app page.

Check these links if there's one that's significant to what you have received.

https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/latest-activities?c=93
https://www.binance.com/en/event/promotional_activities

But with those links, it seems that they're done and I don't see that type of reward. But I've read an article about them giving a lot from their upcoming giveaway but I don't think that it's like that.

Contact the support team. They will tell you whether it is real or a scam, but from the screenshot and the poor design, I can say that it is a scam. Binance has a specific style in designs and fonts, and the screenshot is completely different from it.

A lot have been said already, just know one thing that if you get the notification inside the app as you login, then be rest assured that it's not fake, if it was from somewhere else, even from your mail might be fake, but once it's from your account in binance app, then it's real.

Did you see the notification on the Binance app? If it is on the Binance app, it is not fake.

Is it through an email? It may be fake. But the easiest way we can know that is to check the link given. Paste the link on this thread to let us see it and know if it is fake or not.

I tried looking at Binance to find out if it's official information from the Binance team, but it looks different from the red pocket giveaway that I saw online. But surely Binance does some kind of giveaway that is counting down in the let's down four days I saw on the Binance web page.
Looking at the layout of the image you uploaded, It might be a phishing site that is trying to use Binance users as the catch. As you have been advised, you just better stay away from those giveaways that might end up sending your sensitive information to fake sites.

I really do not think binance is doing a give away because if  they are doing such, they could have sent mail to their users to take good advantage of the opportunity which could have increased more traffic to their exchange. Although it is festive season which most of the organisations do give away inline with the festivity to their loyal customers but in this case, the task you are talking about is the binance red packet task which they do regularly for their users so it is not a new thing.

To clear your doubt and fears, I would also advice you contact the binance customer care service to inquire from them to know if what you are seeing is genuine and not a phishing  link sent to you because lots of such are sent to people on daily basis by hackers to  steal details and information. I believe the customer care service are in  better position to tell you what to do when it comes to their services.

Maybe you should contact the Binance support service to confirm if the message is fake or real. There has been an increase in phishing scams so you have to be careful. You have to check the email/message carefully to see if it is coming from Binance because it might be fake. Ensure you don't click on any link in the message or provide any sensitive information such as password to them. I don't use Binance maybe members that use the platform might give better advice.
