finally , you report the onion problem here!

but I don't think those Legend will care about this... they need and want more spam cos many Legends have many onions in their wallets!

I will keep bumping / spamming this thread until they stop the onion spam ...
The Deeponion problem in the Chinese section is just a small fraction out of the whole section, and I am not against any users who wanted to discuss and talk about Deeponion on the Chinese section, some of the users might start the thread about altcoins on the main board, in fact they should actually start it on the altcoins child boards on the Chinese section.

It seems that most of the users don't even bother to read the stickies - The rules & regulations stated on the local board before posting or starting any threads, that is one of the reason, the Chinese section have gone into a huge mess now and the problem will only continue to worsen without an active local moderator clearing up the reports submitted by users.

I would say the Chinese local board is just a place for account farmers or bots to farm accounts using google translation to make tons of posts within a few days since there is absolutely zero moderation on the Chinese section, and it seems that all these problems will continue to stay for a very long period of time on the local board since the local moderator is not interested to tidy up the whole section at all.

If your local moderator won't do anything, get list of spammer who use word 洋葱, Onion or DeepOnion and share the list here so global moderator/admin can ban and member can add these spammer to ignore list.

no need to list all the threads,  cos all threads are from those accounts listed above, especially buy the 3 leader accounts  !

the mod there has moved many threads these days but they spam day by day!!!

I don't know why Onion spam is always allowed there, why not just ban those accounts ?

If you frequently visit the Chinese local section to read through stuff, you will realize there are many other issues on the Chinese local section that requires a moderator attention besides deeponion.

There are many users or maybe just bots who are posting 2-4 characters Chinese posts to get their account activity up to Jr. member status, and those posts does not even make any sense in that specific thread discussion at all.

For your information ( There is a rule in the Chinese board that states, reply posts must relate to the thread started by the OP, or those posts will be deleted and send to trash can, and the users who got their posts deleted frequently will result in getting their account ban ) but the local moderator in charge of Chinese local section is fairly inactive and it seems that a lot of users or maybe bot accounts are just spamming nonsense posts on a good thread.

There are also a lot of threads that needs to be move to the proper child boards by the moderator

Altcoins threads
Off-topics threads
Mining threads
Good & services threads

These threads have basically overwhelm the main board, and it is quite frustrating to keep on browsing through a number of pages before finding the threads that are useful and helpful for the Chinese community.

I've been saying for at well over a year the Chinese board needs additional moderation. There's one or two individuals who have farmed hundreds if not thousands of accounts using the Chinese boards (mainly their Press section) using bots and nothing is done about it. Once they hit the required rank they migrate out and start crapping up everywhere else. One of them even managed to get a position as campaign manger and was just laundering money to his farmed accounts which I only spotted because they were merit farming between themselves: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.30834191

I don't understand why the local moderator who came online sometimes does not move the reports submitted by users to the proper child boards, since the users have already lessen the local moderator burden by submitting those reports that requires his attention

He probably doesn't have time and will be overwhelmed by stuff. The less active you are the more work piles up. I spoke to theymos recently about looking for a new mod and he said he'll look into it.

I don't understand why the local moderator who came online sometimes does not move the reports submitted by users to the proper child boards, since the users have already lessen the local moderator burden by submitting those reports that requires his attention, I don't think it will consume much of his time to take the appropriate actions against the submitted reports after he browse through them?

The main board in the Chinese local section are filled up with threads that are not in the proper child boards, and it makes it so hard for a user to find useful content on the main board without browsing through a couple of pages to search for the information we need.

Some of the old threads that does not belong in the main board are still being bumped continuously by either swarm of bots or users that wanted to reach Jr. member with those 2-4 characters posts in Chinese, moving all those threads to the proper child boards could make the Chinese Local main board more readable for everyone, and it would also improve the Chinese local community overall by sharing useful contents regularly on the main board.

As long as there's a need for a moderator (enough reports, enough spam) then theymos will likely be willing to look into the current moderator and decide whether he needs replacing or a little help. But, as we saw recently with the french section and a few complaints about the moderator there just wasn't enough reports to justify a new mod.

as I said , no mod or legend will care about this, since many of them made a lot of money from this project! They only care about those project they are not in !

It's almost 2 days now, the sub-forum is still dominated by Deepononion (洋葱) ...every day new threads are posted there by those accounts in the list !  the 3 leader accounts almost post every day !

I could tag them all for the shilling and trust farming in the meantime. However, you'd need to provide a list of thread and users for me to look at. Other than that, all you can do is wait and *hope* that someone will take action.

hm.... Crtl + F to search “洋葱” there, you'll find out those onion spam.. . anyway, I will post them here !

There needs to be changes to the altcoin section, and altcoin related annoucements on all boards. I'm sure theymos is aware of this and is probably looking at solutions.

I would probably go ahead and say that altcoins are the biggest time sink in their entire workload and hundreds, if not thousands of posts are removed each day. It would be interesting to know the exact figures.

Until theymos comes up with a solution and implements it all you can do is report them. If the mod is not active, then possibly bringing up the discussion about adding a new mod to the section could be beneficial. It's likely just a workload issue for him though.

lol ... the forum need a new rule for those airdrop (it's bounty, not aridrop) projects!

mod please check the Chinese sub forum :  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=30.0

it's now serve the Deeponion only, those spam accounts spam onion (洋葱) every day for several months!
I have reported to the mod before, and mod removed many many threads when received the report...but seems the mod is not active there !

and now, they spam again...

Almost 1/3 of the threads are  Deeponion (洋葱) spam, I mean THREADS, NOT just a post... cos they need 1 thread to join the  airdrop (it's bounty, not aridrop) campaign!
