I have gone for a long walk.  I have had a conversation with the powers that be.  I have decided that the site operator is fair and I'm sorry he has to deal with nonsense like that which I enflamed.  He is just.  And good.

And we are lucky to have him.  Thank you for being fair, Theymos.

This is a serious question, unlike all the threads suggesting America is a Police State which (obviously) is nonsense.  Let's start with a definition:

A Police State, according to Webster, is:

a political unit characterized by repressive governmental control of political, economic, and social life usually by an arbitrary exercise of power by police and especially secret police in place of regular operation of administrative and judicial organs of the government according to publicly known legal procedures

Is bitcointalk a political unit?

I don't know

Are the operators of bitcointalk repressing free speech?

I think yes.

No, they are not.

Is Bitcointalk Run by the Secret Police?
No.  They are abused volunteers who have to make judgements calls after scanning a thread for about 20 seconds.  Dude, cut them some slack.

Bitcointalk is not now, nor has it ever been, a moderation state!

OP, can I suggest you turn off your computer and go for a long walk?  You have totally lost perspective.
