But not everyone wants to install some app/software in able to use a marketplace or something. That's the downside of OB. Why they don't let their users use a browser-based marketplace as well. Though I can't argue that they are trustworthy enough but still~

It's the price for decentralization I guess, same applies for BitSquare. I'm not sure If the same features like choosing the ports, connecting through Tor etc. can be applied If they made a browser-based platform, maybe It would be If you run it locally yourself but in that case, that would be more work then installing an app/software.

If you're looking for alternatives, you may want to consider CoinMall: https://www.coinmall.com/

We're a marketplace on which anyone can buy & sell digital products (such as eBooks, game keys, license codes) for a number of crypto. The marketplace has many features you might like, including automated product delivery and Escrow.
Check out our announcement thread with more information here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.40034792

PS: We don't take any fees whatsoever.

The site's been up and working all day for me; didn't see this thread previously but it's been up for a while now.

I use both OB and Bitify, and I also have to agree that having a platform that doesn't require downloading an app that's only for desktop devices is nice. I mostly browse Bitify through my phone and it works just fine, whereas OB requires me to download their software before I purchase anything. The day OB opens up a website that allows you to purchase via a regular internet browser through any device, I'll definitely change to using them.

It's back to work apparently, the weird thing is that they haven't stated anything on their Twitter. If you're interested in such a platform, I suggest going with OpenBazaar. It's way better and decentralized.

The hesitance or doubts is really there which I do really understand on what you are trying to say. Even myself would prefer to have a browser-based than on downloadable ones.

bitify.com is already up and usable btw.

"Error establishing a database connection"

Is all said when i am searching for it.

All the situations are indicating in two ways.

1. The site is dead or changing its servers.

2. Again it is scamming after 2016

It says
Error establishing a database connection

If you want to check a website if it is running you can use
Quote

And that site also says
Bitify.com is DOWN for everyone.
