Literally as soon as they got all the expensive state licensing they needed to be fully legal - their banking partners shut them down.

I've also heard rumours of a criminal investigation for them not following the March FinCEN guidance before it was issued.

Pretty much they are dead.

I knew the banking partners shut them down, but seriously Winklevoss twins don't have pull to get them into a bank? WOW

I just visited their site and I wanted to see if it had any updates but it is blank...

Kinda sad, I used to use bitinstant a lot to cash out was hoping they come back.
