and they actually do customer support, and its quick and friendly ..... so far from Gox you couldn't imagine.

Like to give Kraken a try though. Like the advanced trading options.

Is there somewhere i can learn about buying and selling bitcoins in an exchange?

Read the FAQs at the exchanges or ask here? What do you want to know specifically?

Hello folks, just wondering if bitstamp is a reliable source for the purchase of BTC

it's a great exchange, no issues whatsoever. I consider it the best from my experience.

Check out Kraken too if you're looking for an alternative

It's OK. They require proof of ID and proof of residence before you can do anything. All well and good if you have it but if you don't have a document with your address on such as they desire then it's a terrible exchange and one to be avoided.
