It's OK but their API is not so good. Mt.Gox had the best one. Now Bitfinex has the best, but it's lacking important features like all exchanges atm. I.e. downloading of very old trading history.

I am having problems with them receiving USD. Sent USD on 26/02 but it has not been credited yet. They are not replying to support requests. Anybody else having success/failure sending them USD at the moment?

Bitstamp is pretty good IMO.

Hello, I just transferred funds into my verified bitstamp account.  Has anyone here used them and are they a good site to use for buying/selling btc.

Shouldn't you ask the question before depositing funds in your account there lol?  Grin

Hello, I just transferred funds into my verified bitstamp account.  Has anyone here used them and are they a good site to use for buying/selling btc.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm using them for more than a year without problems. They are the biggest exchange in Europe right now and most people set BTC/fiat rate according to them.
The only problem is that their about page only lists an address of a shell company in UK and they themselves are registered somewhere in Slovenia, but there's no info on where or who works there. This is what would keep me from putting larger amounts on that exchange.

I personally used it different times, and they are very reliable.

usd / eur deposits/withdrawals take just 1 or 2 days

Now testing kraken in the following weeks.

I've used them to try out trading. Not traded any significant amount yet, and not tried to get hard cash out just yet, so bear that in mind in what follows...

They are a limited company in the UK, so directors are at least traceable. There is also an address in the UK, but not sure whether this is a physical address or just a postal address. Compare this to BTC-e -- completely unknown -- no address, no company, no nothing. That site could just disappear tomorrow, and that would be that.

IMHO, Bitstamp look like one of the more credible big exchanges at the moment, but I'm hoping that more professional outfits will come online in the future now that Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream.
