By your description alone, it's definitely a scam no doubt. Quite a clever one though due to the domain. It's easy to assume that it's easy for people to click on a bitumb link thinking it's the Korean exchange bithumb. Also, 0.02 BTC for a withdrawal fee? They're not even trying to be subtle LOL.

i also have difficulty registering with bithumb. the language was a serious issue. mails comes in korean language. quite not clear to me.
Well, it's obviously a Korean exchange so what do you expect. There are a lot of alternatives if you can't read/speak Korean.

It is true. If an exchange asks for a deposit before you can take your money, it is %100 scam. There are many websites like this, just do not believe them. Always search about the website before you trade or deposit money.

Any platform be it exchange, investment or gambling site that requires you to make certain deposit before you can withdraw your won prize or help another user withdraw funds are 99.9% times scam. Stay away from such sites.

Here's a thread discussing related experience although with different site. A new ways to scam and steal your money (be aware) scammers come up with different techniques (cover story) but the end motivate is for you to deposit your BTC (fund) so it can be stolen. Be safe.

... it's also asking me to deposit at least 0.02 BTC before being able to withdraw anything.

That is a scam. It is a very popular scam. The site may look legitimate, but it was only created a few days ago (8/31).

As part of some discord cryptocurrency server giveaway, I apparently won a bit of bitcoin on this website https://bitumb.com. However, I can't find any information about it. Does anyone know whether this site is trustworthy? I was able to use the promo code in the giveaway and it says I received the amount of bitcoin, however, it's also asking me to deposit at least 0.02 BTC before being able to withdraw anything.
