I think it's a good idea to buy some cryptocurrency monthly for fiat. But you need to buy a solid cryptocurrency, not trash.
Buying crypto with fiat is better than having all fiat with your account  because crypto use to increase in price and makes profit for you but in fiat it’s useless to store. Fiat is accessible for buying crypto now because of increasing popularity of crypto around the world. In my country people do buy crypto with fiat.

Buying with fiat is not a bad idea. Infact you can make good profits if you time the moves rightly. I mean if you can predict the time of bear and bull then you can get in and out of the market at the right time while making some handsome profits. But for that you need to be top guru in trading and to have luck in your favor.

Yes, in fact it is not profitable, especially if you buy a large amount, it is best to negotiate with someone, maybe someone from friends or friends of friends has a large amount of cryptocurrency that he wants to withdraw from the Internet in fiat, but if there are none, then you need consider otc sites but there they work only with large amounts; if the amount is small, then there is only one way out, only pay a commission.

Hey! I want to buy some crypto with fiat and I want to know if it's a good idea. For example, to exchange crypto to crypto is just 0.25% fees on changelly. On the contrary, it's 7% to exchange it from fiat. It's a huge difference! What do you think about it?
It depends on you, if you think you have some tokes that are worth losing or not worth holding and you can still use for your new token, then you can do so, but if you are planning to use Ethereum or bitcoin, I would not advise that at this stage where they all want to boom and I think that fiat would be the best option.

You should have been used to these fiat percentage already because I feel  you must have bought so many coins with it, because without fiat, we still can't have access to buy some coins, except maybe we already have a very big amount of some cryptos in our wallet. Fiat is good to use but look for exchanges that are very fair with fees like binance, and check some Local exchanges also that offer a very cheap fee on buying crypto with fiat.

Basically I don't see any  reason I should use the fiats for buying of cryptocurrency because the fees different is very much as I have seen in your post. Things of these  nature need individuals approach and not just generalizing it. Personally, I will not go for more fees than the lower fees which have been my favorite. Although, the fiats way of buying cryptocurrency is not safe as I have assumed it to be unlike buying from an exchange.

which certainly depends on the situation. if you only have fiat then there is no other choice. but if you already have crypto (btc, Eth and others) it's more profitable to buy using crypto.

I personally rarely buy crypto using fiat, even though in an exchange that I usually use already provide it (Indodax, Pair with IDR) but I rarely make deposits there. I more often use the exchange only for trading or making withdrawals to Fiat.

Most people start dealing with cryptocurrencies when they buy it with fiat. I do not see here any great difference with other methods - the same risks and possible gains also exist. The other thing is when you buy cryptocurrency with cash. Buying crypto for cash attracts traders and investors who value privacy and want to avoid high fees on exchanges.
However, here you should know the person is 100% honest and he can be trusted.

I think that is a bad idea. Because trading between fiat and crypto costs a lot. As you can see, trading between fiat and crypto costs 7%, which is a terrible number.
Don't trade in focused apps. You can trade on the black market, it's safe, but it's a lot cheaper.

If you want to acquire any significant amount of crypto, then you'll ned to buy with fiat. I think the days are long gone where you can start from nothing and build up your crypto just through mining/airdrops/bounties. Nowadays if you want some crypto, buying with fiat is the way to go.

And I do think buying crypto with fiat is a good idea for the long-term. There are various routes available, just find a good one with a low exchange fee.

It is not a problem to buying cryptocurrency with fiat, actually this is safer than buying crypto using credit card.
The most important thing is find a legit crypto exchange so we can send or withdraw our coins quickly without troubles.

Really good, and is it possible to work via bank? Is it possible?
Yeah, as I have previously mentioned, I bought BTC via fiat, 800$. So they work via bank no doubt

Hey, guys. What exchange do you use in order to trade or hodl coins? I have tested many options but unfortunately  timing is so long on all platforms, I wonder why it takes so much time to transfer USD to Litecoin for example regarding all these technological progress which blockchain brought.
Mate, there are not so many decent options by the way. Numerous of these options are really trusty and safe. Using big exchanges like binance is not safe.
And so what exchange you personally use and what are the key benefits between your change and bitfinex for example?
I use Bitrexchange is a really trusty change. Bought BTC via fiat numerous times. Works very quick, tokes and currencies instantly appears on your wallet

Ultimately, fiat offers a much more flexible option for payments and expenditure. I believe buying for crypto with fiat does not only ensure access to everyone, but ensures no one is ever left behind. Also, with fiat, there is a much more uniformity is payment value.

If you buy btc with fiat, fees are mostly higher than compared to other coins like litecoin, doge, dash or some other popular coins. Lately i bought one of those coins with lower fees and changed it into btc on the exchange.
this is what i have noticed lately

You have to put your money into cryptocurrencies at first, no matter what you buy, there are the highest fees related to bank transfer or credit card deposits.
After you have some cryptocurrencies, then you can swap cryptocurrencies with very cheap fees.

it is not just about the fees, it is mostly about the amount of fiat that you are going to lose when invest it in an altcoin. so far all the altcoins have dropped at least 70% against USD and that goes up to 100% drop (meaning dead coins).
so you have to decide whether you want to lose that much money or not before making such an investment.

for day traders, they always want the fast speed with cheapest fees so they always trade altcoins against bitcoin and also it has the benefit of helping them increase their total bitcoin and benefit from the only crypto that goes up in the long run!

You can buy coins with fiat money. But you should invest only the amount you can afford. You should not borrow money and invest in crypto as it is volatile. I think getting free tokens through bounty and airdrops is the best idea. For that, you should pick good projects and do bounty campaigns.

I think it defend in what way will you use it. If you it as business I think you not need to regret and compassion because there will be a sure return of investment but when you only use it as a payment to your thing I think you need to think twice because because of too much charge and transaction fees. Make your every transaction meaningful and worth it.

That is a huge difference. The rate of 7% is even higher than that of decentralized transactions from fiat -> coin.
But at the moment there are a lot of exchanges that keep that ratio. It is considered normal, so you should avoid trading fiat money -> coins regularly to avoid losing a lot of money.

Why not, if you want to buy some cryptocurrency and you don’t have any cryptocurrency to do this, then of course you have to use fiat for these purposes, so feel free to find a good cryptocurrency exchange or online exchanges where you can easily exchange your fiat for the cryptocurrency that interests you, but I would not advise doing this through online exchanges, so the percentage will certainly be taken unpleasant, so do it better through exchanges.

Well i think if you want buy cryptocurrencies using fiat money you must buy on the market which gives small amount of fees, i think buy cryptocurrencies using fiat money is good ideas because cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin will protect your money from the inflation as we know that bitcoin is deplation bitcoin has limit of numbers around the world than fiat money on every countries, even we don't know the reasons why the government print fiat money.

Now that crypto coins are experiencing a price decline, it is indeed a good moment to make a purchase, but we also have to use a strong analysis of this, so we have a good idea to make a purchase, especially if you want to buy it using fiat.

Strong analysis and study well before making decisions is the key to avoid loses, yes at this moment we're experiencing a price decline a little due to the effect of bitcoin price is also drops slightly and now is the great time to buy coin but again analysis and study well the coins op want to buy for their investment and also pick the best exchange have low fees specially depends in the location where op resides.

You have to take the profitable ones, right? It seems it is better to buy through crypto than fiat. Though I don't use Changelly, so I suggest you take Binance services. Binance has many options nowadays to buy crypto with the fiat pairs. If changelly suits you more then you may buy from there.

Have a look into the fees of Bitstamp, for instance, here if you are not buying with credit card the fees are much more convenient than 7%. If not you can try Localbitcoins as well.

I also agree with the opinion expressed by many people here, that generally speaking crypto should be a very good investment, if we consider profits that were possible over time in the past. But please keep in mind that the future profits are never guaranteed, so the past is the past and the future is the future.
Another aspect is what you are investing into. Non every crypto-currency is a good investment. So please do very well your home work and never invest more than you can afford to lose (you probably already know these principles).

Having said that I personally believe that the crypto is a very good investment compared to fiat.

First, why use changelly? Is there no other cryptocurrency exchange in your area that you can use? If you have a problem with changelly fees, why not use another exchanger or try speaking with the customer care agent at changelly (although, I highly doubt if this will yield any positive result as regards reducing their fees for you to be able to purchase).

I`m buying crypto-currencies with fiat. I`m buying with extra money from my salary. Maximum that I bought is with 200$, usually I invest around 50-100$ per month, that depends from
my salary and bonuses I make, of course with my family needs. Sometimes I can spent less, sometimes more, but I`m trying to invest every month at least some money in some crypto-
currencies.
I`m doing that for 2 years and for now I made good results. My portfolio is growing, maybe slowly, but it`s growing.

7% fee is too high don't pay that much!

If you really want to spend fiat to buy crypto and do it with no fees try to contact some traders directly and exchange in person. You will hand them money and they will send you coins to a given address. You will agree to exchange rates.

There's really no other way to buy crypto because you have to get it from somewhere and all exchanges have their fees because they wouldn't be able to keep the platform running without them.

yes, if it is believed to be able to provide benefits in the future, then there is no harm in buying crypto using fiat to be used as a form of long-term investment or to trade on one of the available local exchanges that are believed to have a very good reputation

Although it is good to buy crypto with fiat as it goes contrary to what people think of it. But however, with such charge it is not encouraging and again means buying from exchange is a better option. So I will suggest you buy from exchange and save unnecessary costs. Hey! I want to buy some crypto with fiat and I want to know if it's a good idea. For example, to exchange crypto to crypto is just 0.25% fees on changelly. On the contrary, it's 7% to exchange it from fiat. It's a huge difference! What do you think about it?

70% to exchange from fiat on changelly?  How did you arrive at the number? If this is true that means I will be charged $70 to  transfer $1000?  I don't believe this.
Been a bit long I used the exchange though.

It's time for all the coins to go down in price, this is the right time for purchases, every purchase must have a good analysis so that when the exchanges are made, this is a good idea with exchanges with fiat that you have

You can just trade on a low fee crypto exchange and withdraw as eth or btc and sell it on localether or local bitcoin for fiat.
If you want to buy crypto with fiat it is the other way around. It will not be anywhere near 7% I can assure you on that. Have fun and you have made a great choice to buy crypto good job!!

I think now is a good time to buy crypto with fiat and you can do in the exchanges. I don't know about changelly because I don't buy at that site. But I prefer to exchange crypto to crypto or crypto to fiat at the exchange, so then I can send the money to my bank account. You need to search the other way than to use changelly because who knows, you can get a lower fee than you can expect it.

If you have no other options then you have no other choice but to use fiat in buying crypto currencies. The same to what I am doing, but if you are a risk taker then there are plenty of options that you can choose like 1:1 ratio of exchange without any fees to pay.

You can create a thread that you would like to exchange fiat to any currency that you like in currency exchange section but you need to be wise if you are going to do it, so the risk is there but if you know how to execute it correctly then you are good to go.

It's okay to buy crypto with fiat if you already know the fee for each transaction on each exchange. compare which fee is cheaper and safer. I myself sometimes sell crypto in fiat currency and then buy it again when crypto has fallen in price as it is today. If the expensive fee reaches 7% for exchanging from fiat, it doesn't matter if the process is fast and safe.

most of buying crypto using fiat.so why it will not be a good idea to use fiat to buy crypto?if you want to use coinbase to buy crypto then you have to use fiat but if you use your credit card to buy crypto from changelly then fee is matter.
I would also prefer to buy crypto using fiat but as much as possible, look for a good exchange site that will give you the lowest fees offer and is definitely legit of course. There are a lot of exchanger around but you should be resourceful so that you will not spend too much. Find a good exchange site that will give you a reasonable price.

You're likely not going to get a good rate by buying crypto with a credit card on a site like Changelly; you're generally not going to get good rates by purchasing crypto with credit or debit cards as a whole, though buying like this is generally more convenient and faster than wiring funds over to an exchange. You'll likely pay less fees by buying crypto on an exchange like Coinbase Pro or Bitstamp if you have the time to go through the verification processes of exchanges like the ones I've listed.

This is weird. Most people buy crypto with fiat. More specifically, most people buy BTC or ETH through Coinbase, Kraken, or their local crypto exchange with the money deposited from a bank account or the use of credit card. The huge difference is because of the merchant fees in accepting fiat, they say.

Buying cryptocurrency with FIAT is one of the best investment you can do in your life.
But you need to be sure on what you are buying, what is the coin/token you will buy?
what is the future of it? will you gain from it? or you wil just throw money?

its not a  bad idea at all mate, fees for fiat is always higher than exchanging crypto coins for crypto coins, you just have to get used to it and mind you it varies if you can do some research on few exchanges they are more lesser than the other, coinbase charges is lower than binance when i used the service long ago and luno is even cheaper than coinbase

No, it is a bad idea, because as you said you are forced to pay high fees. Use Coinbase to buy crypto with wire transfer for lower fees. I used their service several times when I needed to pump fresh cash into my portfolio and I cannot complain.

You should compare changelly with another exchange site and i guess there will be a lot of exchange site will be offering the lower fees than it dude.
It's too expensive for me and tries to take a look at another exchange site just like kucoin, binance is a must for you to get the best fees.
That's a good idea to buy crypto with fiat but you must find the best exchange site with the cheapest fees to trade your money for crypto.

I think that is only possible when you have already bought other crypto that is available for a trade to other cryptos as well, and yes you will be using the fiat system in order for you to buy the first crypto you want to use. I think you should probably just directly buy it with fiat, that way you don't have a hard time computing some fees, well that's if you have a hard time like me.

Depends, OP. There are some countries that allows you to buy crypto with convenience through convenience store (no pun intended) with 1:1 rate that you'll convert your local currency to Bitcoin after that. I never registered any credit cards and I probably won't do it in the future for financial reason. I suggest checking if your country offers those type of convenient way of buying crypto before you decide to go with the bank method buying.

costs are a consequence of investment, high or low costs depending on the exchange, you only need to look for exchanges that have low costs, but the quality is also low, so investors should not hesitate, but you have to be really serious, don't be afraid of losing, because if you understand investment, the cost you spend will definitely return.

We have the same method to purchase crypto so its obviously that there's a fiat way to buy it.

For example, to exchange crypto to crypto is just 0.25% fees on changelly. On the contrary, it's 7% to exchange it from fiat. It's a huge difference! What do you think about it?
7% is really high and you have already distinguished it because you know that the difference is high. If you can attain to pay that fee, go for it if the convenience that they are giving you is excellent. However, if you are not satisfied why would you pay for that much?

the exchange process using Fiat for crypto is more expensive because there are transaction processing fees for bank services, if I'm in the option you offer, I prefer investing from crypto to Crypto, because the cost is cheap and the process is faster. besides investing in IEO and ICO, it would be beneficial in terms of bonuses, to cover the costs we incurred when we first exchanged Fiat money into crypto, compared to investing directly in exchanges.

Now that crypto coins are experiencing a price decline, it is indeed a good moment to make a purchase, but we also have to use a strong analysis of this, so we have a good idea to make a purchase, especially if you want to buy it using fiat.

All have mechanisms, of course with different types of exchanges, such as fiat money and crypto (digital assets), the costs are more expensive because of the lack of competition in exchange services in certain areas, that's marketing. And indeed price of digital assets is fluctuating, making exchange service a precaution if prices change quickly.
