fictional token with a 'peg' to real money - double fuck you. pegs never survive and who will be propping it up until it fails?

They have rather big campaign in facebook. I always see their banners everywhere.

Modern marketing says people now prefer more social networks. In my opinion if we talk about very specific field (and crypto is still specific), they should use specific places where these specific people are  Smiley
But they already have topic here, isn't it?

Facebook look pretty useless to me , I mean the same audience that you are likely going to target is the same one that is here . I know that It's possible to target other users but they probably won't be as much as interested as the ones coming from faucets , bitcointalk or other btc services where their main objective is to make profit after the ICO.
Usually I do not trust any money related things if I come across anything other than this forum. I am ready to spend $100 for an ICO, if someone is suggesting here but definitely I will not listen to my Facebook friends for similar thing.

Facebook may have different type of audience, but advertising here for a crypto currency based services must be right approach.

Each of them have certain advantages over another.
Bitcointalk : Typical Geeky Bitcoin crazy crowd.Mostly online money makers and freelancers.
Facebook : All the average folks who know what bitcoin is or are starting into it.
Bitcointalk advertisements are expensive compared to facebook with a limited number of market place users.Facebook is way too cheaper but promotes to a larger crowd.
Basically bitcointalk serves the niche crowd while facebook serves anybody based on their data analytics.

i just saw them on facebook, they say its a decentralized marketplace.   this link chronobank.io
I saw them once or twice on forum ads in a few places and it made me take notice and then I saw them in a facebook ad. Nice marketing, just take the whole place over. If they are willing to spend that amount of money then I am sure we can take them seriously. At least more serious than most.
But I do not see the advantage of promoting cryptos on facebook rather than promoting here in this forum. The effectiveness and costs definitely will differ in greater degrees. The thing is they are ready to spend more but not targeting crypto users. I really do not understand the reasons behind this.

They're indeed!Nowadays,I see them everywhere not just my facebook.Recently saw it in the forum's adds too.Their concept however is just like any other altcoin created, decentralized as fuck!At least they claim to be.

Maybe I have become stupid, I essentially didn't understand anything from their pitch, like what they're going to offer with ChronoBank and what it solves/does.

Same here. Feels somewhat lacking to me. Not worth the coin IMO.

We will not be able to know if chronobank is for real or not unless we try them out right. I've invested few of my BTC also like what i do with other icos. Hopefully this one will stick with their roadmap whatever obstacle they run into.

Wouldn't say its 100% Legit as its an crypto project, we see people run it successfully, we also see dev who abandoned potential projects.

But base on the updates they keep given to the user, we can see that they truthfully wanted this project to be succeed.

They have thousands of followers on facebook and twitter, they do not need to run social campaigns, and now after they have colloected about $2 millions in one day without social campaigns, they proved that those campaigns have small effect on the project.
Dude ,you are wrong so many levels here ! Like no trace of information remotely found ! Tell me ,if they hadn't invested a couple of 100s on social media promotion, why would I see them on every damn site I open on the internet? If there was bitcoin bitcoin site ,I'm sure I'd find them there.Who said they raised 2 mill in one day ? Please link me to the facts.

Check out the wallet addresses on our main thread:)

Much of the funds raised are from themselves. You better believe that lol It does look interesting though and I make throw a few btc at that for 2017 investments.

It was actually in 14 hours (the ICO started on the 15th of december) and the statistics are all available in the main page of their website. I however agree that the funding is kinda dead at this point , I mean almost everyone with big cash invested in the first hours then ... pretty much nothing.

They have been preparing for this ICO since long time, I can see their paid ads on facebook, in addition to tens of articles has been written about this project, some of the articles posted on very famous sites, but they have no social campaigns, maybe they do not neet them. After I checked their roadmap and whitepaper, I think they have good things to introduce, they may become well-known name in the crypto world like Ethereum, Monero, Lisk, ICONOMI....

I already saw their statement somewhere , they are not running any social media campaigns because they already have a solid presence there so running a campaign where they could actually lose some money since there will be always spammers and multiple accounts and It's hard to avoid is kinda a waste of both money and time for them , ICO is going to start in 5 hours for those interested in investing.

Is this a new ico? I just saw at the end of their homepage. still running the ico and receiving an email subscriber. Market project or a new coin project.... and this is my first time are heard about them.... Huh

Geez another ICO? This will 99.9% be a big scam. This is whats happening right now in the BTC scene, the VCs have already stopped investing in BTC companies because they are all losses. So the next move for the developers is to start scamming the community directly.

I think your must on the topic
OP not ask about scam or not, but about chrono bank real project or not

about real project in online not online can't judge , because all people can't the real see this office in chrono bank
The general thing about ICO and mostly of them was saying if that is the real project and you won't be finding a large different in the word of the real project or non-scam project, and totally the real project will never turn into the scam project.
write this into your notepad.

We better be vigilant on this thing their project is huge and fundings are great and that adds color to them, and for now i don't truly see any bad scenario for their coins since they got great success for their first day of ico existence,  but this  case is truly hard to defined scam or not since their are no people yet coming and tell some bad allegation against them.

Yes it's real actually it will open an ICO this December and already have signature campaign here. I already wear it if you want to know more about chronobank.io you can visit there announcement thread the link already given above and ask questions there.
Are you vouching for them just because you wearing their promotion material or do you have some good reasons to say that?
Are you an Australian and know something about their presence there?

Whats the difference? If its not a real project then it must be a scam. What is it that you dont understand with the history of ICOs? The are a way for scammers to scam the community directly.

We cannot tell that they are scam since theres no threads named as it is a scam, and for what i've see they have quitely good team of advertiser, got money to run for its advertisement and other from that they look realistic, and im kinda have a trust on them for now since they are runnung in good phase, maybe we cannot see their true agenda for now, but all the thing we need to do is to follow if we want to.

Its either you are not paying attention or you are playing stupid, or maybe you really are. How can you trust someone in this forum after all the ICO scams that have occurred here? Its your kind of thinking thats encouraging the scammers to keep doing it.

It's kinda unfair to call them a scam just from because people usually scam in general , unless you have a proof then you shouldn't accuse them . Whitepaper is out and you could read it like everyone else , the goals are pretty realistic , even though It could take sometime to achieve , the team is also known and the developers can't simply disappear and when It comes to escrows , they are known in the bitcoin-altcoin communities too.

They have a good marketing team and budget, they know that awareness is a key factor if people continue or persistently being seen, they will get curious or will treat it as a good service provider or product, just like what you saw in a tv commercials, they keep repeating it over and over.
I concur~ Starts getting annoying after a while. The illogical part is,they don't even have a tag line of what makes them special. The simple project name doesn't say much about it which restricts me from opening the links.
I saw a tag line in one of their adverts and it was "The Uber of Time", and yes it's already been pointed out to them that, the use of "Uber" may cause them complications later on so, they're probably trying to come up with a new one.
The thing that's really got my attention is that they're backed by the Edway Group, which is a big company in Australia. So, out of curiousity/safety, I tried reaching out to Edway Group looking for a confirmation from their side. Still waiting to hear from them. If it does confirm, I'll be one of the first to buy "TIME" on the 15th.

maybe yes, maybe not, we don't know until they officially launch. Right now, I have seen that they have spent a lot of money to advertise and announce their ICO on social media. Well, maybe they try to steal our money, who know. The only thing we can do i wait and see what happens. In my opinion, they are really good managers who know how to maintain the ICO.

Yes I saw an ad on facebook and it is making me more curious about them. It seems that they are targeting a lot of customers. I'm looking forward for this chronobank and still waiting for some more updates and as well as if they are legit, I've just learn from the past cases that turned to scam people. But it seems yes, their people are good managers.

Well, since you have so nicely pointed it out, I went back and took a look at their spreadsheet. They do have 230 participants, seems it's on automatic enrollment then.  Grin Tongue Embarrassed
Last time I took a look, the thread was all of 1 page.

What I don't get though, is that the thread was made Nov 29, and yet there were already participants registered on Nov 21st. What else am I missing? Was there a previous campaign thread?

So, yeah, it's a big campaign. I haven't really noticed much users wearing the sig?Aside from you, that is.
I've been seeing their ads on the forum, though.  Grin

The Spreadsheet was first posted in 21th November in the Official thread then they made a new thread dedicated to that campaign only. I haven't noticed a lot of users myself , some users are probably enrolling using multiple accounts too but I'm sure they will start to filter the list from spammers as It didn't the Google spreadsheet didn't get updated when It comes to the earned weekly stakes.

i just saw them on facebook, they say its a decentralized marketplace.   this link chronobank.io
Looks real enough to me. Their concept might actually work.
Quote
LaborX is a decentralized marketplace where labour time can be traded at market rates. A decentralized reputation system will facilitate feedback for each worker, allowing people to hire the most competent professionals from both the online and offline worlds for their budgets, and employees to secure payment in line with their training, skill, and experience.
They have a very active and aggressive advertising on/off the forum as well as a big signature campaign.

The ICO will run from Dec 15, to Feb 15, 2017. LH(LabourHour) will launch 2nd-4th quarter of 2017.

Anyway, just take a closer look at their ANN thread. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buy-chronotech-time-on-kucoincom-1680361

The name it's self can be misinterpreted the someone who doesn't research it's purpose in the services it actually does provide.
Their name wasn't relating to the purpose of the project.
May you read their white paper will give you anything about LabourH and LabourX.

They don't have a lot of participants yet since they've only started their campaign recently. There aren't much takers yet.
Well I guess you must take a look in their list as it has many members, as you're saying that they don't have lot  of participants yet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jH4fq8V7LsUB-62AtYXt0owWInSdM1vX5_tBtB89cu8/htmlview#gid=1506866310

Why not take a better look at the post right before yours??? You must'a been in such a hurry to "repeat" what MadGamer has already said and missed my reply?  Grin Grin

And, since you're kind enough to "repost" spreadsheet link, here's the link for that post of mine you've conveniently ignored. : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17133522

Also, kindly refrain from 'repeating/recycling' info already provided by other users. You've basically patched together all the other replies, heck, even your criticism is copied. Spam better, why don't you.

(Quite ironic since you've even given neg trust for a "non-reading spammer of yobit".)

Oh, my bad I didn't see your post after madgamer and I'm just using my mobile through browsing and posting here.

It's probably one of the biggest ICOs I've seen till now ,
Well I guess it also that this campaign (chronobank) is the biggest campaign as it holds more than 230 members in their campaign which looks very promising. We'll see the outcome of this project.

@OP Yes I saw also in facebook that they're advertising their site and also here in btctalk few days ago.

It's probably one of the biggest ICOs I've seen till now , their marketing strategy is simply awesome. It's not going to provide a decentralized marketplace only but It's more then that , to have a basic idea you may want to check the Problems Chronobank is solving for more details.

They do have an avatar and signature campaign, I recently saw their thread on altcoins marketplace.

And, here's their ANN thread. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buy-chronotech-time-on-kucoincom-1680361

I don't follow you , how come +230 users and still counting are not considered as a lot of participants for you ?

Grin

They've already doing a mass advertising
They are advertising everywhere but missing out this great platform. That is the reason we are having this type of topics. I could not understand their motto why they are ignoring this great cryptocurrency platform. Just a signature or avatar campaign would have helped them to avoid such a topic.

Just seen this while going through their page
Quote
Primary goal of ChronoBank is to create national Labour-Hour (LH) tokens, linked to average hourly wages in a country and backed by recruitment/labour hire companies.
Actually i find this quite confusing and i have also seen their page being advertised over facebook recently like yesterday. Haven't seen much buzz regarding their platfrom in the forum other than one user with username chronobank posting links to different articles https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/chronobank-906856

And he seems to be cofounder of chronobank according to his personal text.
