I believe the OP is referring to a situation in which he purchased BTC that was >his instant limit, and has to wait the 5(?) days it takes for his bank transfer to clear before Coinbase releases the bitcoin into their account. (in my experience, withdrawals of bitcoin are instant even when there is bitcoin available in your account, even for amounts >$20,000).

IIRC, coinbase will actually make the BTC available after the end of the day after the 5th day after you process the buy (or something similar to that). They also do not appear to be in any hurry to release the bitcoin, likely due to the risk of a payment being returned as unpaid for some reason.

Contact support. Bitcoin is usually sent within the hour at max... Are you sure your payment went through? This why you don't use coinbase. Use localbitcoins :-/

My bitcoin was due yesterday, and its now over 24 hours past the deadline I was suppose to receive it. Does anyone know what is going on with arrival times? I have to pay a loan off on BTCjam, and this was suppose to clear yesterday so I am getting pretty pissed of lol.
