No, But it has high transaction fees.

in fact they are a very serious and very professional company, although this thread is very old I want to add that I already used coinmama a lot and they have a high fee. for example: I bought $1000 in bitcoin but I received $830 in bitcoin in my wallet, they were very quick to send the bitcoin, but the fee is absurd

Coinmama rewards its users in bitcoin for effective promotion. The affiliate program is easy to enroll with and start promoting. The users can get upto 15% of Coinmama’s commission of the purchases of the referral accounts.

I did not know that. but I'm not interested in affiliate program because it's difficult to get refrrals

Hello folks, what are your thoughts on Coinmama?. Is it a reliable site to buy btc in large amounts (15k + worth btc). I just dont wanna end up ripped off?. I read comments on coinmama for july and they are trashing it like crazy...so i dunno what to think or do...thank you

They've been around for a long time. Longer than many of the popular exchanges we have right now. Although their fees are crazy high. They don't need to rip anyone off with such high fees  Grin

I’ve used them in the past for a ~$100 transaction and things went just fine, still seems good with what I’ve read on sites like Reddit about transactions with Coinmama. The fees on the platform are admittedly a bit high, but nothing too bad for the convenience that you get from using the site. The site requires verification, but things usually take a few hours or within the hour as the site advertises, and you’ll likely be able to purchase coins the same day you verify yourself.

I have used them before and all went well but you should Google them to find out if their service delivery has changed or if there are open scams about them.

Their bitcoin talk account https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/coinmama-102228 in case you need some help from them.

They had good reviews way back 2014-2015 I think but I haven't tried the service to be honest. People mostly use a more known service, it's up to you, 15k + worth of btc is really high so good luck.

Oh and coinmama support came here out of nowhere after a long time of being inactive in the forum. Last post November 2016

Hi splizenz,

My name's Martin and I'm Head of Support here at Coinmama. Nice to meet you!

First of all, we've been selling crypto currencies to customers from 182 countries since 2013 and I can very much assure you that we are a legit company.
When it comes to choosing the right service to buy your bitcoins, a lot depend on your preferences - do you prefer high limits, many crypto options, minimal verification, low fees, fast processing, or great service? In that spectrum, Coinmama is generally regarded as one of the easiest-to-use brokers out there and are well-known for our focus on providing great customer service (though, of course... I'll let you be the judge of that!).

At any rate, there are a bunch of reviews and anecdotes about us out there and I don't think my word would hold the same sway as the words of hundreds of thousands of our customers. But I'll be happy to answer any question you may have Smiley

Been there like a month ago and everything went smoothly, only been there once and not with such an amount so I would suggest that you be careful.

I heard of that site a while ago (like 3 years). Some one I knew stated he managed to buy BTC with that website and it was okay. Things may change though.
But with 15k$ I wouldn't trust any website except big dogs like coinbase and still would be cautious
If you see bad reviews that look trusted or something smells - don't go for it with that amount.

I don't understand  why you are asking about a site that is probably not have been heard before when there are several sites already on the crypto space and they have even make name for themselves and won't even bother to scam with $15000 since they have carried out several trades running into millions of dollars.

I think best person to answer this is coinpapa Grin jokes apart, the way you are asking for feedback seems the site is something which is very popular and anyone will know by its name! Please share the url of the site so that someone can visit it or find out something about it; as new sites are creeping up everyday like coinuncle, coinaunty, coinbrother, coinsister, coincousin Ha Ha.

If you seek some bad feedbacks on them much better to have doubts since the planned volume you wish to buy is pretty huge mate and be carefull for dealing with that since you cannot get what you lost on btc. Just seek for the site like localbitcoins or maybe just try to read some people's though so that you can get good suggestion ahead with them.
