In my opinion the darknet is not always tied to cryptocurrency because before the popular darknet the payment was as sure as I used to use the digital currency and also it seemed that cryptocurrency was also created not only for use on the darknet but more broadly

Cryptocurrency is more than just the dark net, I think we can call it a decentralized internet, where the power the government and the central banks took from the people is being given back to them, crypto I believe is God sent to humanity to save us from the control of the government of this world who have already turned us into slaves and make us do what they want us to do without being able to ask questions since they control the money. Try to see the positive aspects of cryptocurrency. Darkweb is a platform that is present in the digital world. As much as paper money supports crime in this world, so is crypto.

I do not know much about Darknet, I am not interest and I think it is absolutely irrelevant. Cryptocurrency is what I know, it has been useful to me and it has succeeded in solving virtual all my financial issue, such as easy payment, income generator and many more, since the main reason why it was created has not been defeated and I don’t think its objective can ever be defeated.And since last 4-5 years, with the rise of Cryptocurrency, we have seen it used a lot for such activities. I see no reason looking at darknet, as they say, curiosity kills the dark. I understand that we need to also widen our knowledge to catch a glimpse on the things around us but not a comparison of another system that will end up making me fall into the hand of a scam system if I check it out.
I think comparison such as this is unhealthy for the cryto market and blockchain technology in general. The little knwowledge i have of how the darknet operate is nothing to write home about. Cryptocurrency will do more good in the society,than harm unlike the darknet which is renowned for hosting criminal gatherings.

it is like saying US dollar is the next version of global terrorism. of course there are a lot of illegal activities and shady people including terrorists using USD but that doesn't change what USD is for. similarly saying cryptocurrency is the version of darknet is just as dumb. of course you can say it for very special and rare cases where a coin was created to only be used in dark net and not anything else in which case you can make such statement but you have to be specific about it.

Because crypto transactions are anonymous for most and no need for any information to be exposed to proceed transaction? As much as possible I don't want these kinds of comparison and personally, I don't want to say that it's likely. But to give you a light with my take on this topic regards to what you said.

Acceptable manner in a way that it's all about freedom, don't forget that crypto's are now in mainstream. 
Darknet is largely a hype. A heaven for scammers. Less real work and more frauds. Difficult to use for layman users. Hated by government due to difficulty in tracking and used for illegal activities and scaming.
