I don't understand why people are shilling Digibyte of recent, for me I am staying away from most of these Old projects in the space that have not delivered anything substantial from their inception. I am not writing off this project but I would be very hard for it to make in a crowded market we have now

lol, did you ever made a deeper research? you can talk whatever you want about it, but saying digibyte hasn't delivered anything substantial from their inception is a big fail.... just my 2 cents.

Regarding topic. I still hold a good amount of DGB and i'm starting to buy again. It has a really huge community, trading volume is high and it's one of the best solutions next to doge to send funds from one exchange to another to avoid high fees Wink

Yes its true that it has one of the longest blockchain. Moreover DigiByte’s pricing is very much tied to Bitcoin, but it’s much more of a blockchain 2.0 project. Its three-layer blockchain network separates smart contracts, processing, and decentralized applications.Unlike BTC, five mining algorithms are used: SHA256, Scrypt, Groestl, Skein, and Qubit. This makes mining decentralization much more possible than most ASIC-friendly cryptos. Also the transactions supported by it around 280 per second. The project has a good potential and really worthy of investing.

I think its a good one to invest in. The team are still on track so as to absolutely produce  a project   Which is the   world's longest, fastest and most secure UTXO blockchain in existence. Just look for a good entry price and buy or trade.

I have heard about digibyte and I think it's a good coin to invest your money in, though it's not good to just jump into conclusions when you haven't made your own research about the project, this is why I would advise you to make a thorough research about the coin before investing your money it, you can start by checking others reviews about the coin to see if they have a bad review or a good review about it, this is the way I check to see if a coin is a good buy or not.

I was researching for long term investment in alt-coins and impressed with Digibyte (DGB) project. I found it good and very impressive.
This project having a big and active community. I think it's one of the established and proven project.

What's your opinion about this project ? Is it worth to include it in portfolio for long term investment ?

it is very old project. firstly i heard it in 2014 it was nearly $0,000220 not it is $0,011224. and it reached $0,131224.

this is like a dream. 6000x in 3 years from a coin. if i had invested 1000 dollar to dgb. in 2018 i would have $6M

DGB is a very interesting and well known project. Sometimes it starts a PUMP and many people who have already profited from the project return to invest. It may be that at some point it grows again. Since it's a quick and cheap coin.
I have done some research about the project and I also found it interesting, but the reason why I am on a low key in investing in some of these altcoins is because I foresee them getting dumped in the future. The result will not be because they are bad projects, but I just feel it is not the right time to invest now that BTC bull run is approaching.

From my past experience, these altcoins gets dumped for BTC during the bull run and there price will crash further, so I think at that point would be the best time to really invest ahead of when BTC starts to consolidate after the bull run, I think that is the time most altcoins increases.

Well, I cannot decide on that yet, the same way that you were impressed about the community it has and the project is the same way I was impressed too which got me into investing in it, but I have been holding it for a while now and still not see any meaningful gain from it.

They keep saying keep for long-term, something that will be much impressive in future should at least have shown some signs by now, anyway, I am already in it, it is a cross I have to carry and keep holding, till I see what will end it, even if it take 10 years for me to hold, after all, I dint have much investment in it.

Wow its been a long time i've never heard of Digibyte
There was a moment where it were pumped so hard

Lets look at the technical side

Its kinda a good point to get in now
1) It is supported by 3 time support level
2) RSI is close to oversold and achieve a higher high on RSI
3) MACD just crossed

That chart seems really good but i saw lots of time TA doesn't work for crypto and saw that it worked.

I think, buying it because trusting the project is better idea compared to trusting the charts.
Most of the time TA doesn’t work because of volatility but looking at the chart it looks like the history will happen again, and it can be more big. This coin is good for long term because of their good project, i think DGB will earn the trust of the investors again if they continue to be active so let’s see if this TA will work.

As per observation, DGB team is still active and still pushing their platform developments. The problem I think is they have no whitepaper or future roadmap which creates doubt and trust issues for investors. However, it could still be considered as a mature project and has a friendly community behind it.
If they are having issue with white paper and roadmap, then what is their team doing about this if they are really active, if you out there can see their lapse, how come they have not seen it and find a way to adjust, what is their adviser also doing.

You know we have some projects that are just performing try and error, some are even just learning about the project they propose after they have raised fund for it and not because they have experience in it, the idea is what they have but they might not have a functioning execution team that will carry out the project successfully which they have to find one before it gets too late.

This is one of the old coins in the market, and they have a big community I lost my chance to make it big by hodling my Digibyte back then, Digibyte current price is $0.013090 USD (0.42%) and it was $0.000075 when I first held a big sum way back 2014, you cannot go back in the past, but Digibyte still has a huge potential in the future.

Of course, this is a good coin with a large community and great growth potential. I believe that it should be in the crypto portfolio if you invest in cryptocurrencies. Moreover, it is now in 47th place in the coinmarketcap rating and this means that it is promising and interesting.

Here I agree with you Smiley I used to have Digibyte in the past and made some sweet money with it. Two days ago I bought it again to resell it at higher BTC price (just for accumulating more BTC)..
In my opinion DGB is not as strong as it used to be in the past. The market changes and dgb lost #rank in the overall capitalization, so I prefer to accumulate other kind of altcoins that seems more useful

Yeah.. if we were to compare to the olden days, Digibyte is one of the hype coins there with its tech
But we now have more and more better cryptocurrency with better use case and etc

I have some DGB, been holding it for a long time along with some other alts I got from Bittrex in 2017/18. Will I ever buy more of it? I don't think so. Is it a good project? I thought it was, but lately all the projects I thought were good don't seem to be really getting their asses of the ground. Never mind about the price, using DGB or most alts is still a pipe dream for the users/hodlers.

@alisafidel58 -  Well ... i am fully agree with your point that this project don't have road-map but even after that i am impressed because this project is hosting a variety of other platform projects such as DigiPay, Digi-ID, DigiMessenger and many more. I liked their 5 proof-of-work algorithms (Scrypt, SHA256, Qubit, Skein and Groestl) and i felt that transactions are quick too. And without any ICO this project is surviving from 2014 and community still working on developments and use cases. Most important thing is it's still affordable(Budget-wise) for me.

We know many fake projects having road-map, which turned in scams. I think nothing is impossible in virtual world but as long as if i am investing after my own research and satisfaction, i am happy. And asking existing users / investors opinions is part of my research so i can check more positive and negative points of the project.

Thanks !!

What was the thing impressed you with this coin? Their community? The project doesn't even have its road map to where the coin is head or its further use in the future.

Few years ago I've been suggesting to invest in DGB and until now it's still good as those days. If you want to buy DGB and hold it for long term, you're fine with that coin as long as you will invest what you afford to lose. In my case, I've sold most of my DGB long time ago.

Hi. Well i have some Digibyte that i buy, and now i also mine Digibyte and i will hold for long term, i think it can really value maybe 0.5$-1$ over time, maybe on next bull run, but always invest only money that afford to lose.
