Fair launch since it was pre-announced, premine is ok I received 20k EAC in the giveaway, together with another 14+ pages of users... difficulty re-targets every block which made it pretty hard to instamine it right after the start, idea behind changing payouts year round is also interesting, if the community grows around this coin it will succeed. (reminds me of the first days of WDC, and look at it now 50 cents per WDC)

2% premined by the devs
nop
it's just pump and dump coin

That would be ok, if a really exsisting and large community would participate in it ... similar to dogecoin

Doge coin hype lasted 2 days, and was a complete joke to begin with.

Earthcoin has a lot of potential, if the devs and marketeers are serious about everything in the main thread.

2 days? lol its been 2 weeks and its still growing at an exponential rate

It was a good launch, I don't see long term viability though. They just did a really good job getting everything ready before going "public". (including a 2% premine and even explaining it, despite my personal feelings on the matter).

Forexample creating some cheering accounts on the beginning december?

-> tk808 : created in 5th december...only giveaway posts and earthcoin posts

it is just a guy with 1000 followers on twitter that premined some millions and now is giving them to his followers so they can all go a bit high and get some money...you can see it by the posters that have like 5 posts...its another ponzi as usually and started with some big fails...

who knows what happens though..

It does have a pretty professional look to it though; the logo, the site, everything..

(even if that logo is a bit too similar to the Internet Explorer logo, but okay Tongue)

It is noteworthy that most of the contributions are written by members who write articles exclusively for EarthCoin and seem to-be only created for it.

We will see. We need to know the 'great dev's identity at least.

Has the Earth Coin really a big community in the background or is this a hype triggered by a few fake accounts (Members with les then 15 posts)?

Waste of time and money or a good investment?
