yes, the ice age has been kicking in for a month or so if you haven't noticed.  The difficulty increases in higher proportion to the network hashrate increase.  The block rewards for PoW mining will eventually decrease from 25 to 3, and difficulty is going to yield rewards less often.  The block time is now around 25 seconds, up from 15.

Sound. Fury. Signifying.
This will depend in part on your cost of electricity. If you're getting free juice, it'll be profitable until PoS completely takes over.

What's going to be really interesting is when PoS causes every ethereum miner out there to jump to other altcoins. That's a huge amount of hashing power, and it's going to cause some serious difficulty swings to other blockchains.

Look ARROUND!
Today, Ethereum difficulty is rising from 2.3 to more than 3 ! It is a lot.
And the price is falling since weeks.
I don't know who mine Ethereum with a so low price and such difficulty but for those who pay his electricity, Ethereum is no longer profitable.
Ethereum is going to have a limit to when it will stop being effective for mining profits. There's Altcoins that people use that let people mine and make money as well.

was wondering with the changes and such comming is it going to soonly not be advisable to do etheruem mining anymore?

well i would say this really depends on the markets price, and if you want to hold ether for long therm or not? I used to mine bitcoins a few years, then stopped and sold for $300 Cry
