I always suspected it's a scam.
I still invested a small amount of ETH and luckily got it out again with profits well before the site went down.

If anyone is interested:
I got some of their "Loan Agreements" they did with their traders from their site when it was still up: https://files.fm/u/27q4eyzc

thank you

It's most likely a scam of the ponzi variety.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who think that they can be successful full time ponzi investors - just get in their early and you'll make a profit. But even the most established ponzi investors can't achieve that as some companies go scam even before any payouts are done.

Ethtrade is a long term one. As the days go on it'll become more and more likely that the ponzi scheme collapses. Don't invest.

So far ethtrade didn't turned into scam, but it's only matter of time when they will run away with investors money. There are no proof that they are really trading
It's pretty good article which describes why ethtrade isn't a legit company:

It's a long term scam.  What always happens with this type of scam is that they start off looking quite reasonable and they give feigned information about their activities which doesn't actually prove anything - because they're related to cryptocurrencies, naive investors assume that 1% a day or so from an anonymous group which doesn't even give information about its regulation as a company could somehow be normal.

If you ever find yourself thinking that they could be legitimate then just ask yourself - what incentive do they actually have to continue running this forever?

They'll keep running it until the ETH hype starts dying down (a couple of months probably).  After this they'll start offering big bonuses, more referral commission and contests.  Then they'll start pushing these contests and advertising more, and they'll never pay a winner - they'll just stop paying, keep accepting investments for a couple more weeks, and then vanish.

Hello guys.

We're in the waves of Scams.
A few days ago, Mecoin was "hacked" or the admin of that program said so.
I have registered an account in ethtrade.org. This is the same as ethtrade.io
Their program is based on trading.
They have developed a referral program, in which you can get 3, 2 and 1% according the lines of referral.
You can start investing with 10USD.

Do you think is a short, middle or long term scam? or a legit scheme?
