FTX is a good centralized exchange if you're completely fine with their KYC rule since their fees is really cheap among other centralized exchange.

If you don't comfortable to give your KYC, you can use decentralized exchange e.g. Bisq.

FTX is still new and in time they will get better, the project is big enough and I prefer performance than good looking, do you know many good-looking projects that belong in the dustbin today? With time I am sure things will look nicer and you aren't the only one complaining.

FTX's platform is simply shite(UI/UX/etc) if we're talking about catering to the casual traders

I agree with this. I've seen a better interface on some wretched exchanges that went bankrupt or were closed. It was a little disappointing, given that they have a large user base and a good trading volume. I guess that's why I can't adapt to them and start using them more seriously, although this has been my intention for a long time.

FTX's platform is simply shite(UI/UX/etc) if we're talking about catering to the casual traders, in which Coinbase has wom this category. If you're some sort of power trader with a decent bankroll though, it's one of the best that we currently have.

From every angle it looks so terrible but there maybe more to the story why it is still so famous. Can anyone elaborate it?
I don't use any exchange because of flashy interface, and I don't care so much about mobile apps and other crap.
FTX exchange is not that bad, you can still use it with lower amounts even without kyc verification, it had zero fees for withdrawing Bitcoin, and it just works.
That doesn't mean I trust FTX or any other exchange, but I think it's OK exchange, it has solid reputation, and it has one of the top five volume from all exchanges.

Ok I have pretty much tested every exchange. Been using binance, bybit etc on mobile been excellent.

I doubt this because of the reason being that, you can just download an exchange without being specific on which and which you've used  not by words but with your investments on them, moreover you aren't cleat if they were centralized exchanges ot decentralized exchanges that you have used, but base on your mentions of some CEX, i will encourage you to taste the decentralized ones too and feel the difference better, or better still, try afford buying a hardware wallet to avoid yourself from future embarrassments.

If the FTX can give you all you want irrespective of a boring app interface then it's really not a big deal at all to me. One of the more pressing issues I have with exchanges are its verification processes with are seeming to get even tougher. Yes I know more and more news are coming out about scammers and other sort of vices, but compromising the decentralized nature of crypto-currency beats the aim of Crypto-currency being decentralized.
Exchanges like binance aren't better when it comes to the incessant requirements of verification some of which demands details that I would consider private,
If you ask be I am beginning to appreciate no kyc nor AML requirements exchange even more as they protect your privacy and some of them are very secured.

In my point of view I am a fan of Ftx exchange. Its application interface isn't so user-friendly but it really not so bad at all. Again Ftx exchange has a very lower fees when you want to withdraw crypto assets.

I used to think that but they all have different strength and drawback. It is harder to find exchange with everything on point. Ftx i was just curious to check out but damn except low fees everything about it looks terrible.

Why do you need so many exhcnage accounts or are you just testing what different sites have to offer?

I think most of the main ones (especially for leverage trading) are very similar and it'll be hard to tell the difference between them (especially if you're using something like tradingview or mt4 for analysis/charts).

I just looked overall what different sites had to offer (and how hard they made getting it - like with kyc) to decide which one(s) to use, I'd recommend it rather than registering and kycing with everywhere if you can (there might be good information on search engines too, Youtube was OK for that in the past but then there was a lot of sponsorships).

And i also realised it doesn't have option to use usdt for trading( not sure about it)
It does, for pretty much all pairs.

https://ftx.com/trade/BTC/USDT
https://ftx.com/trade/ETH/USDT
https://ftx.com/trade/USDT/USD

FTX works, has low fees and the liquiditiy. That's it. You don't want more when you're trading.

Ok I have pretty much tested every exchange. Been using binance, bybit etc on mobile been excellent. I thought to finally give ftx try. Installed ftx pro but damn one of the ugliest app in crypto space. The interference is terrible and looks like just website created as app( which might be true i think). I was just shocked to see one of the most famous exchange with such terrible app. And the i decided to trade did level 1 verification thought it would be enough as they didn't tell about any limitations on trading except amount withdrawal limit. And then was unable to do trading because now it tells me i need next level verification for derivatives trading. And i also realised it doesn't have option to use usdt for trading( not sure about it)

From every angle it looks so terrible but there maybe more to the story why it is still so famous. Can anyone elaborate it?
