you all know about market cap and total money invest in crypto market,
marketcap is determined by total value of all coins combined in current time is called marketman*marketcap
total money invested in market is determined by I don't know, if you know please tell me.
I was searched on google just for fun what is total money invested in crypto but it was highlighting just market cap for that search result,
as here shown: https://ibb.co/7RNfFXg

is it possible to determine the total money invested in crypto market,
or i am wrong with this thread.

The total money invested in the crypto market can be measured only if you gather accurate and verified data about all the fiat-to-Bitcoin and fiat-to-altcoin purchases, that were made around the world in the last 10 years. Good luck trying to gather such data. Grin
Maybe we could get a number that's close to the truth, if we divide the crypto market cap to a certain coefficient.
I know that the total money in circulation in a economy can be found by diving the GDP to a particular number(I forgot the number). Grin
Let's say the crypto market cap is 550 billion USD. Divide that number by 20 and you'll get the total money invested in crypto. The problem is finding the exact coefficient, which can be used for this equation.
i think this way is also not work , maybe the total money invested may many many more than market cap or very very less than marketcap, more means like 2trillion and less like 500billion, becuase may it was just people buying orders and selling orders are deciding the price and people are buying then selling means if there is not new money will come in market then also the price will increase means I have one bitcoin and you want to buy from me, Your budget is $10 and i don't want to sell the coin, I want 15$ if you buy from me the price will now become $15 dollar per coin, the price increased without any new money coming in, so coefficent will not work,

one very hard to try idea is calculating all fiat came in exchanges from banks, it will give very accurate information because everyone is able to buy from exchanges, and if someone wants to buy from physical P2P then it's will very hard find one at that time (now exchange is available to buy ) if the amount you want to buy physically by p2p then it is very risky means exchanges will give accurate information if calculated the total fiat money came in from banks in exchanges, i don't know it's possible or not but i think this one is good.

small summary of ^ paragraph, physically bought crypto is very less compared to exchanges because exchanges is good for liquidity (if large amount want to buy)

It's like asking how many people in this world invest in Bitcoin, there's a site tracking a number of Bitcoin address contain Bitcoin, but the thing is one person doesn't always only have one Bitcoin address since any person can create as much as he want.

There's no way to know how much money invested in crypto market, because most people are fall to scam crypto where it doesn't listed on any exchange. So even you've count the total money invested in the whole exchange, it doesn't count the money invested in scam project.

it is very difficult to determine the exact amount of the total funds that have been invested in crypto to date because every day there are people who invest and there are people who withdraw their investments. So, the value will continue to decrease and increase depending on people's needs. Google only shows data when the data is uploaded, and the data provided is only an estimate. In fact, if you go deeper into the data, I'm pretty sure that you won't get the exact data because it will keep changing. you will only get data about a range of values close to the total amount of investments that were in crypto at that time.

Every website retrieves data from different sources, making it difficult to determine the precise cryptocurrency market capitalization in real-time. For instance, CoinMarketCap (CMC) and CoinGecko (CG) will show their respective data, which will not be identical.
They have information about their formulas for coin price at their FAQ pages

Coinmarketcap
https://support.coinmarketcap.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015968632-How-are-prices-calculated-on-CoinMarketCap-

How do you calculate a cryptoasset's price on CoinMarketCap? Why is a weighted average used to calculate the price?

A coin’s price is calculated by taking the volume weighted average of all market pair prices reported for the cryptoasset.

Sources for the prices can be found on the markets section on each cryptocurrency page. For example, Bitcoin’s markets.

The higher percentage of volume contributed from the pair, the more influence it has on the average price.

Coin Price refers to the current global volume-weighted average price of a cryptoasset traded on an active cryptoasset exchange as tracked by CoinGecko.

I guess you've seen the estimated total money from what you get from Google, although that's just an estimate. And that's just an estimate where we do not know the exact amount.

Meanwhile, Google is sometimes irrelevant in giving the answers we want. For example, if we want to search for something through Google, we will be given a list of sites that Google thinks are the answers. But after we explore one by one, we don't find the answer we want. So I don't think you can simply get the total money invested in crypto.

On chain transactions can be quantified.

Off chain transactions might be quantified to a lesser degree.

Then there are private traders of crypto assets like banks, whose dealings are less disclosed to the public.

Some crypto assets are designed and engineered with privacy and anonymity in mind. These so called privacy coins might obscure transactions and market cap to some degree. Although given recent regulatory crackdowns these assets and design methodology appear to be on a decline.

I think the data given on the total amount of money invested in cryptocurrency is taken from a site that give statistics on the trading volume of a cryptocurrency.  So it is more on estimation than the real value.  The estimation is accepted by viewers because google has sources where they get the computation.

i also know this stuffs like SEO, search engines, google crawler, indexing, domain authority, etc. just to make things simpler i asked that type of question, i want to just know estimation how much the total money may invested in crypto, but there is no way to find it right?

If you want the exact figure then I think it is somehow hard and the google result will only show us an estimation.

I think its partially possible to determine total money invested in crypto, but the thing is, of what use is this information?

For example, we can try to determine total money invested in crypto by..
1. checking the prices of each coin and tokens in the market respectively
2. checking the circulating supply of each of this coins and tokens respectively
3. try to match the coin price to the amount of coin or token in circulation, do this for each and every coin and token, then maybe we can have an idea of the total money invested in crypto, it is also very possible that this could could turn out to be the marketcap as well, but then again i ask, of what use is this information?.

Remember Google is just a search engine, a situation whereby it searches for different sources and provides to you to read and get enlightened from. So where you just read from is just another source link written and compiled by a writer. To answer your question, you can't get an accurate result.

Additionally, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization does not necessarily equate to the total amount of money invested. In fact, only Bitcoin's market capitalization would be considered accurate due to the absence of pre-mining, and its circulation is real. Therefore, there is no genuine data available for total market capitalization that can be deemed 100% accurate. Google only displays sources of the data.

The amount of total money invested in the market is nothing but the market cap. Only difference is it's not the amount invest at its cost but it's current value. Imagine a small market. If you see it in a way that a person A has 2 Bitcoins which he purchased at $2000 each from C and a person B has 3 Bitcoin which he purchased at $3000 each from C. Now the Last traded price is $3000 therefore market cap is 5 bitcoins x 3k = 15k, now if A buys 1 more bitcoin from B at $4000, the new market cap is now 5 x 4k = 20k. Now technically new money in the market is 4k but the value increase of market is 5k. So market cap is not the money invested at it's cost but at it's current value.

It is not impossible to find out. But it will take so much time, and you will still miss out many data that are lost or cryptocurrency being decentralized would make it hard to find. Even in you can find all the data, it will take ages to calculate the whole thing and come up with a result. Even that wouldn't be 100% accurate. So there's a way, but it's nearly impossible but not totally.

It is also said that,( ''Past performance does not indicate present and future performance" )

So you need to focus on the present and not worry about the past, how much has been invested in this. You could just look at the present on how good it is doing and make your plan based on it.

Google is not telling you anything!

It just shows you a result that matches your search based on a multitude of factors and variables.
Just because it displays a result doesn't mean it thinks that is the answer to your question, this is not chatgpt.

A simple example of how that works, ask it "what's the speed of a bus"

The first result is actually from a math problem that matched the question.

Now, back to your original question, nobody knows!
Unless you somehow get all the data from all the money that went in and out of every single exchange, p2pplatform, you trace every single p2p deal that happened in private over forums, over telegram, anything else you will never be able to point to a number.
So, because we don't have that we're sticking with market cap, which is a really bad indicator, I doubt anyone here believes that close to $200 billion were invested in BTC in one month rising the market from $370 billion to $550 billion

there is no real way to determin how much money has been invested.

the market cap is a meaningless statistic
it is just the current price multiplied by coins in circulation

its not a value based number just just a math number

anyone can create 1trillion coins. sell 0.001 coin for $0.01 and instantly create a $10trill market cap all for the cost of 1cent

some people do decide the "realised block reward price"
meaning they look at the price at the time a block is solved and add up all the coins at the time. however this is by no means an exact method of calculating how much has ever been invested

nor is looking at the unspent coins (utxoset) and calculating the price of the current set to set a price for each coin by age

as for todays price
although it shows as $28k it does not mean a person per second is spending a whole $28k for a whole btc. in most orderbooks its actually people spending smaller amounts like just $28.00c for 0.001 of $280 for 0.01 or $2.8k for 0.1
