Just to top on my and other members' earlier findings, A new discovery shows that Happyminer.us were initially claiming to sell mining hardware according to the web archives - https://web.archive.org/web/20180902214512/https://happyminer.us/

So what happened to their Hardware mining equipment shops? Why did they decide to now turn ponzi style?

Two weeks ago, some one talked to me about this mining site called the Happyminer and how I can make passive income from setting it up on my phone. This is the website www.happyminer.us It looks good and the person who told me about it is someone with a deep knowledge about cryptocurrency. My confusion is that alot of people in this forum have said mining sites are not good and are mostly scam sites but this site am given looks good. Because of that I do not know how to conclude this if it is real or fake. Can someone help me out. I do not want to go on a journey to waste my time with it. I need your help on it. Has anyone used this site before? Is it real?

And please moderators can move this topic if this board is the wrong place for it.

As someone who has been in this forum for a long time, you should be able to identify a scam at the first glance.
On opening the website in my browser, I immediately discovered that it is a pure Ponzi scheme from the landing page.
It is not as easy as you think for one company to be able to mine all the coins and give return appropriately.
I mean you can see Bitcoin mining, you can see mining of several other coins. What is the relationship between mining bitcoin and mining altcoins in the same website? That is a ponzi scheme looking for a sheep clothing to cover their real colour.

Op even though your friend told you about the site but you have not used the site to know if they have scammed you or others. One thing we have to know is that before you create a thread on this board, you have been scammed with evidence but whereby you want to the the reputation of a mixer company, casino company, Mining site and exchange platforms and you want to create a thread on it, I think the best place to do that is Reputation Board because you not been scam by the company and you want to know the legit nature of the company and that should be in Reputation Board. Therefore I recommend you to move this thread to reputation. When I got into the link you provided, I saw that Happyminer team also warning users to steer clear from impersonating site of theirs. They are not affiliated to any site so users should know that whenever visiting their site.

OP if I may ask is there any difference between this happy miner of a thing and that of the rest of the other cloud mining sites?

The person that told you about it, did you not ask them to show you convincing proof as to clear your doubt? From all I have read here coupled with me accessing the website, I have not seen anything tangible other that US memorial day currently. Possibly, most of the reviews about the website might be right because I have no doubt organization recruit people to go give positive feedback on their review pages so that people would see it to be realistic and genuine and that is the scenario there days. I mostly look into the complaints about them when I visit review sites so I could get more update on what I am about going into.

but this site am given looks good.

Looks good? Seriously, that's your criteria?  Shocked

I don't know who that guy is but if after spending 5 minutes on that website he can't smell a scam he must quit whatever he's doing!

I just check the reviews at trust pilot and i could see the rating of 4.0 (There were total 101 reviews).

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/happyminer.us

One of the reviewers is quite funny!

The guy got scammed by 4 ponzi schemes before and now he's trusting this scam. Triple facepalm.

This number seems good one but maybe they are paying as of now, so getting some good reviews, or some of them may be fake /paid reviews, we never know.

The rating seems good and indeed some 5-stars review comment they got paid (for now). But looking at 1-3 stars review, i found some interesting things such as,
1. They forbid multiple account registered from same IP address[1]. While it's normal at first glance, they do not consider ISP could assign same public IP to multiple customer[2]. But without additional information, we don't know which one (reviewer or happyminer) is lying.
2. A reviewer claim happyminer is pyramid scheme scam, but happyminer response is they have mining cart certificate[3]. Personally i find such certificate is useless and it's not valid proof they actually have miner.
3. Few reviewer point out some shady action/behavior done by happyminer[4-5]. While happyminer deny those points, those review got verified status from Trustpilot[4-5].

Personally, clould mining sites come, they pay to their investors initially in order to gain trust, gather more money, and then they scam exit. Maybe happyminer is in that stage where they have not scammed but I would strongly recommend staying away from cloud mining sites as 99% of the sites don't mine in real. They just collect money, and keep the cycle of payment running until one day they just close and run away with your money.

it looks like a common cloud-mining/pyramid scam that has been plaguing crypto enthusiasts for years now. I see a lot of similar schemes being posted, advertised and being hyped by fake accounts on Facebook where they offer a "mining package" with guaranteed return profit and daily rate which you can buy for a certain amount of money. I suggest you just ignore it, there is no point wasting time on something that is obviously a scam.

Lately there have been lots of new mining platforms that have cash out and can be used immediately and can be done via cellphone, generally a new platform that has emerged Bitcoin mining, xrp and doge, but not a few lead to scam business, so be very careful before using a new mining platform.

I've read and seen about a mining platform called Happyminer.us and I've never used the application, after I read the reviews below.

Happyminer.us Review - Is Happy miner Legit Or Scam.

OP, maybe you need to see a little about their reviews first, before using the Happyminer.us site, for your consideration, see there are a lot of red flags than green flags, everything is your own decision, I can only show what is there.

Classic ponzi scheme pretending to be a cloudmining site. Stay away from it at all costs.

Some Redditor asked them a question about their hash power and what he discovered is pretty interesting

Here's one of the answers from their support bot:

"As ASIC are the most energy-efficient miners, we use them since they dominate the market. Our hash power can reach 471700 GH/s, making us one of the leading providers. Furthermore, our mining farms are equipped with state-of-the-art supercomputers and cooling systems that are extremely efficient."

So their entire mining operation is a measly 471.7 th/s and yet they offer physically impossible returns? (For those who are unfamiliar, the profit from mining bitcoin at 471 th/s without even subtracting any power or maintenance costs is currently about 35 bucks a day, that's something someone would have in their garage as a hobby)

Ofc email support never answered to explain to me how this math works for them.

You can use this calculator to see how much their hashrate which makes them the "leading providers" bring them per day even at zero power costs - https://minerstat.com/coin/BTC  Grin

This is a cloud mining site and almost 99% of cloud mining sites are scams.
If I were you better stay away from accessing this site and maybe there are some scripts on that site that can take some data from you and look no one mentioned this website before.

Even if the domain was old there is no guarantee that you can make money investing in them and you are likely promoting it? I suggest remove the link above because if you didn't it will help to have backlinks here and rank up on the SERP.

I would be very careful about this "someone" who talked you into this. Surely someone with "deep knowledge about cryptocurrency" would know this is a scam as it is pretty obvious you would only need to rely on one's common sense. Just saying because scam DMs are pretty rampant where someone pretends to be doing you a favor when they're actually luring you to a lion's den.

A common characteristic of ponzi scheme/scams are the extremely high profits as that would mean it's unsustainable. 3% daily is 90% monthly and 2% daily is 60% - these rates are in dream land. On their FAQ, they're advertising this as entirely risk free investment and there is no such thing, every investment has risk. And as pointed out above, if we apply this in actual mining, the more reason it doesn't make sense.

You need to be very careful with sites like this, why would they promise you a daily income and you expect them to maintain the same fixed rate without having proofs to what they have to make them in the best position for doing that, it you invest your money with them they are gone, if you provide a service for them you've also been scammed because they have no traceable path to the google and everything they have said or presented is more or less fake.

Any platform or websites that requires you a daily task for you to be able to receive a reward by you joining in their mining activities is nothing but a pure scam, they cannot give you enough information that can helps you discover about them or have a suspicious look on them, they will rather distract you by what they will offer since they know apparently everyone is desperately in need of money.

Mining is used word to scam people and how could they generate real time income for just like that? If someone offering you a passive income without any risk involve you should start to doubt about it.

No investment can assure continuous income to their investors and most of the time those scammers use such word to make things good on their platform.

Better not to invest on such thing and focus yourself on altcoin trading since this is much better than those mining investments.

I don't know what makes that website looks good when they,
1. Mention fixed return and daily rate on home page. Any real miner know there's no guarantee on mining world due to few factors such as unexpected coin price and difficulty change.
2. Weird title on it's package (such as "Bitcoin Mining (April Fool's Day)").
3. On "Media About Us" seciton it mention many popular brand such as CoinBase. But when i try to search

Code:
site:coinbase.com "happyminer"

on Google search, google return not result which indicate they are lying. So i'd say the site looks very bad and personally i wouldn't trust them.
