Hello
Sorry for my mistake. I know what I'm going to say is weird.
Can I accuse someone as "Merit Abuser" without any logical proof?
Suspected user- https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/atmcoin-932514

I don't have any logical proof but this guy has either bought merit or received merit from his alt accounts.

He was Sr member before the merit system was introduced and received exact 250 merits (250 merit was needed for becoming Hero member) before may 19th. He didn't receive a single merit within last 19 days.

Within 235 days from the beginning of merit system, he was able to gain 250 merits within may 19th. But after having 250, he didn't receive a single. Does it make any sense?
Sorry, I can realize it's really weird.

Edit- I can prove it. I have checked his merit history along with the person he sent Smerit and persons from which he received.
Couple of days ago, someone said, "Merit abuser are now smart. They don't abuse like X->Y and Y->X rather they do it X->Z->M->Y.
That's what has happened with this case. I will bring the whole proof here. Currently, I'm trying to point out the whole scenery. Will edit here within tomorrow.

Findings:
1. This user owns at least 5 accounts, possibly. Or, they are exchanging merits.
2. Out of his 5 accounts, 4 has been ranked after merit system introduced from Sr to hero, full to sr, member to full and Jr to Member. Most of the merit source of those accounts are themselves in most cases.
I think, you also knows if who is the owner of that account. Anyway, that's good to know by those have authorities in this forum,to check and verify to reveal the truth with that you said merit abuser. If it is actually abusing the merit system,i think it will be punishable by the administrators.

his posts are merit worthy but not enough to receive 50, 10 merits.
This is the inherent uncertainty of the merit system, though.  You and I know how valuable merits are and wouldn't give 50 of them to a single person for a single post, but not everyone else thinks the same way.  Having said that, I strongly suspect that this guy is probably abusing the merit system, either selling merits, passing them between friends, or trying to rank up his alt accounts.  But even if I were tagging merit abusers I probably wouldn't touch this one, just because it doesn't seem to be obvious.

And I can't read Russian either.
that could simply be a case of people undervaluing their sMerit.
That's what I'm saying.  I'm sure lots of people here couldn't care less about merits, don't know how valuable they are in other people's eyes, and would think nothing about giving 50 merits to someone.

We cannot assure is that person as a merit abuser though we don't have enough evidence that prove that those other account that he merited that his own farm account. He gives merit to that person in his own decisions and I think they really don't care his merit when he gives it to others.

If you have any proof of alt account you may share that.

If there is no logical proof then it is not easy to say it is either merit abuse or not.

It is confusing but not enough to say merit abuse. If you found any logical info than you can share.

I don't think the user is abusing merit per se though if someone has other ideas due to post/account history of the user + those that gave them merit then that would be appreciated.
I have checked some of his posts with google translator (though I didn't get the exact meaning  Grin I realized the actual meaning) and found his posts are merit worthy but not enough to receive 50, 10 merits.

It is hard to judge for us as most of his posts are in Russian. I hope that the moderators who can understand these posts can check and evaluate if the member is abusing merit. You did the right thing by bringing it to their notice.

Seems to me that the user's trying to ward of scams and bring forth information to the Russian Local section. Now, the merit transactions are pretty hefty but that could simply be a case of people undervaluing their sMerit. It's odd that some of the 50-merit tx's were sent well after the introduction of the system but users can take breaks or be unaware of how they work. This was pretty evident during February and since members that stay in local sections probably don't look at Meta, it's totally possible that they would have undervalued sMerit even in early March.

I don't think the user is abusing merit per se though if someone has other ideas due to post/account history of the user + those that gave them merit then that would be appreciated.

It is suspicious but there's nothing really concrete enough to mark them as a merit abuser, in my opinion.
