No, holding dogecoin is not a good idea. You should do live trade with Dogecoin. If you catch the actual thing in dogecoin then you can earn good profits by trading it. This coin is very stable with very low fee. Dogecoin  character just like up and down. So, better is do live trade. Good luck

I have given up my doge coin last year. I just don't find it profitable these days. But when I thought it might be good to just hold some in case it's value will increase soon, I just can't buy doge anymore, something's stopping me from buying those. Dunno why, I just follow my gut feeling.

DOGE coins do not show great results in growth compared to other cryptocurrencies. These coins work just as well for transfers have fast transactions and a very small commission.

Do not underestimate doge coins, I bought it in poloniex at the time of only 20 satoshi, and the price reached 100 satoshi after a few months later. It's fun to invest in doge

Remember you need to hodl doge for the long term

For now
You can hodl coins like nano, ocn and neo

Doge coin was created as a joke, and it's not being actively developing now, so it's not a good long-term investment. I'm sure that you can find many other projects with real utility that have more potential to rise in the future.

Patience is the key to this crazy thing called crypto currency. This market is like gold rush in past. At start everyone rushes to get their hands on and when bubble bursts then market is stabilizing. It could take some time to see improvements in your selected coin. I have invested in few of altcoins but i hope that sibcoin could be bigger than others. Maybe fools hope  Grin

Holding doge coin for the long term is not a good idea because it is hyped coin. In the next years its popularity may eventually decrease.

I have here a doge coins worth 200 usd in my wallet. As for holding it in almost 3 months already nothing really happens on its price. There was a time when the price spikes upward but returns immediately to its normal price. Will I still continue to hold doge coins in my wallet? or I will exchange it to a more hyped coins to have better profit.
Doge coin quite large amount, the investment can not bring high profits! At present, if you want to have a good profit, choose the growing altcoin! good home developer and strong community

In my opinion, DOGE is for people who love stability, the price won't change so much. The price goes up and down, up and down, like a heartbeat.

I've been around for 3 years in the world of crypto currency, And I've seen Doge Coins before. And nothing has changed in its price, so my advice is to invest in other altcoins I'm sure the profit you get will be bigger.

It was always a bad idea. Smiley Dogecoin is a nice coin for quick and cheap transactions but it is not that type of a coin you better hold for a couple of years
