Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley
Am i right to assume that you don't know what altcoin futures are yet? Because that question is too vague to have an answer.
You are not telling us if you know technical analysis to base your decision of shorting or longing it, nor you are saying how much leverage are you confortable to use. And if you don't know anything about risks in those, how is any of this a good idea? Playing with futures can make you money, for sure, but get even experienced traders get rekt if they aren't careful with it.

If you already know everything there's to know, then sorry if i sound condescending. If not, there is ton of reading material everywhere in net.

Value your money and don't waste it - don't be greedy. The best investment is when you invest in products that have lower risk - that's not futures. You may hear that futures can give you multiple profits due to leverage - but you forget that the risk of futures is very large. Instead of futures - just invest in spot especially in altcoin that have good potential in the long term, of course it is just an option that has relatively low risk compared to futures.

Don't be attracted by high leverage like you see everywhere. What you see may or may not be right - but they have a better risk tolerance than you. But here's the thing - if you have the budget, of course you can try it instead of listening to this advice. You will be experienced because of it and it is best for your crypto journey.

That's a tall ask tbh. Tho I've seen some close friends financing a BTC futures position for 2 years now. For me, I can't. I prefer the short-term trading and accumulate over time. But also, the spreadand fees are very essential in choosing where to open these kinds of trades too

Well, my goal was to make some money with the futures, and then I could invest in Btc or Eth and wait

I like the idea that you separated investment from trading. Best form of trading is just the futures you mentioned above. Aitcoins and bitcoin are both use for future trading, but due to volatility rate of most Altcoins which is way higher than bitcoin, they tend to have better returns on future but same as risk in a short period of time. My advice is if you’re not that sufficiently knowledgeable to future trade, then just leave your funds only on investing rather than risking the smaller investment again on future trading
despite that risk is something that come out positively sometime it is good for someone to take a risk but you should take a risk for something that you know better not something that you don't know the beginning or the end so it is also better for someone to hold a bitcoin for long time or hold your hot coin for long time down investing on something that you don't know or trading for something that you don't know

As long as you know what it is and you've made your DYOR.

Ethereum is the top choice if it's with the altcoins. But you know that people think that it's more profitable to get into altcoins and that's how they do it. So, if you're looking for any altcoins you want to invest, invest also in time in researching so that you're going to have an idea if it's a good investment or not.

Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley

Futures trading bears higher risk than spot trading when altcoin itself is a highly risky investment option an investor can pick. So by doing future trades, a trader is just leveraging their risk, though the reward can sometimes be worth it. But be aware of the risk of liquidation of your asset, which can be liquidated overnight in a volatile market like crypto. So if you are not experienced enough then you should ignore it until you get the experience. Trading in bitcoin future has lower risk but still not a financial advice.

Alt coin is good option for sort term trading.  Those who have less money to invest can invest in alt coin.  But it depends on the market situation.  If you invest in alt coin, you should withdraw after small profit. If you expect more profit here, you can lose everything.  Among the alt coins I would recommend Ethereum first followed by BnB and Salana. Their markets are very good.  These alt coins are also trustworthy.  I can't say for sure about the others.

Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley
Of course, it is. Investing in altcoin futures is a great way to diversify your investment portfolio and capitalize on market trends to maximize profits. Check out Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Chainlink (LINK), Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), Avalanche (AVAX), and Algorand (ALGO). Based on what I've seen, these coins have good foundations and growth prospects. I wouldn't recommend just taking our word for it. Trading futures is risky. I definitely recommend doing your own research on each. Consider how much risk you're okay with before making any moves.

We don't know yet how future Altcoins will perform.
Maybe it is a good idea right now to remove old and outdated coins like Dash, Cardano, Ripple or Tron and buy more modern future Altcoins like Avalanche, Algorand or Near Protocol.

Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley

Op as a newbie, I strongly recommend you start your investment with Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin will teach you enough discipline on holding and how to handle other altcoins. It's better you start up with a less risky coin for investment before investing into altcoin which might be more volatile than your emotions could carry. And besides you still have to do your own research and study before concluding to pick any coin for investment.

Not actually a bad idea as long as you choose those altcoins that have a working product. I recommend ETH but if you dare to choose shitcoins/useless projects, you are making yourself near to losing your money. Research is necessary in choosing altcoins and I suggest that you choose which you think you can benefit from it. The market is flooded with altcoins and shitcoins, we should be more careful. But if I were you, I would focus more on old coins that have been listed on big exchanges.

Buying of Altcoin is not what to ask much questions about. Because I believe crypto Investment is a personal kind of thing , which involves you to use your initiative. Rather than to do it like anyonels. You have to do it on your own and anyoerther   on your own which if anything should happen they are awear

Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley
Yes, of course, altcoins are listed among the futures trading options with traditional brokers and exchanges and many of them have huge daily trading volume. This can only mean that people are trading them, and if they are not good for trading, people will not dare to do that. But still, investment advice shouldn't be general because what I prefer might not be what others will prefer. For instance, as volatile and risky as Gold is compared to many other assets in the FX market, I still love to trade and I've considered it as my most favourite asset in the financial market. What I can advise you to do now is to first establish the kind of trader you are. You should know if you like a slowly moving market or a fast one. It is from here you can know what to choose among the altcoins for your futures trading. That's if you will choose any of them at all because I consider most of them more volatile than Bitcoin and Ethereum.

well in my opinion or case, I would never invest in future trading for altcoin or any other currency. Rather than that, I would love to invest in the spot market of altcoin which has less risk of losing of our funds as compared to future trading. trading is also a risky part but future trading is more risky. so I would never consider it a good idea to trade in the future section.

On the other hand, I am only holding some of my amount in the altcoin only in the spot that I have considered it for long-term investment. For the current time frame, I have less portfolio that why I am not taking any big risk on my investment. I am trying my best to avoid all kind of risks over my investment. When I would have made a big portfolio I will start to take some little risk because we can not earn much amount without taking risks. haha, the point is that I would still not do future trading I would have a big portfolio due to some of my personal reasons. I asked out of curiosity, I have studied and analyzed graphs and done some experiments...some go well...others don't...but I have always gained more than I lost. My problem with investing in bitcoin and waiting is that I don't have enough capital to actually become profitable by waiting several years.

Investing in Altcoins with small capital is indeed the right choice, but not with futures trading. Playing with Altcoins is indeed riskier than holding Bitcoin or Ethereum. You have to really do an analysis of the coin before you decide it. I think you can start with small capital while learning to earn. Try trading in the short term, and continue to hone your skills. If you don't have time to improve your skills, it's better to give up your plans for a while. Investing in the crypto world is very risky. If you make a mistake, you can lose everything so you have to be elastic.

OP, in crypto there shouldn't be a kind of premature decisions, your decision should be calculated, though seeking for advise on the likely appreciative crypto in the future is not bad but I want you to understand that in altcoin, choice making is a personal thing reason being that it their is any tendency of price fall or loss as the case may be, no extra body should be held responsible for your loss, in crypto market ascertaining the movement of the market is almost impossible no matter how you try sometimes you end up losing out totally, this is why an investor should do his research personally.

investing in futures is short-term not longterm and must have good analysis and accuracy in analyzing and the direction of the market price direction because if you don't have a good analysis you lose and your capital will run out or get a margin call.

In a bull run market, anything you buy will have results, now, you have to be aware that altcoins are like a casino and the risk is much higher.

You can make a good amount of dollars and bitcoins using these currencies, but always go back to bitcoin, it is what really makes sense and what really matters at the end of the game.

Well if you're profiting then I think all is well? It'd still depend on your risk appetite though. And seeing as you don't really want to wait several years, altcoins can be a choice. As to what though, again it depends on your risk appetite. ETH is a standard choice but I'd say it's slower compared to a lot of newer altcoins, which have higher risk ofc compared to it but hey, if you want to profit fast, you gotta risk it.

Otherwise, I'd just really bide my time with BTC or ETH and wait a couple of years. Probably use my job or some main source of income to DCA.

For me, I will go with high market cap altcoins if you want to have less risk, so Ethereum for me is the best right now.
If you want to find some gem and it will come with high risk high reward, you need to find newly launched altcoins with quality project, like maybe Top 300-500 and more.

Investing in altcoins is not a bad idea because every investor has to choose which of the cryptocurrency they would want to put there money into. It could be based on trust, recommendation or trial. Let me break it down a little. Looking at most of the altcoins doing extremely well these days i have some keen interest on a particular one and i trust it will do well.

Recommendations can come from people who have invested in a particular altcoin so they think it will bring profits or maybe from people who feel they are experts in the cryptocurrency space.

Hi guys, do you think investing in altcoin futures is a good idea? Which altcoins do you think are best for this? I appreciate all the help Smiley
If you are new to this, and are interested in investing in altcoins, then I suggest choosing only popular altcoins, especially ethereum. I think that ethereum is the best altcoin at the moment. If you invest in ethereum, I think the risk can be smaller than other altcoins. However, if you are looking for a slightly cheaper altcoin, then the choice is BNB. I still feel that BNB is a potential altcoin to this day.
However, if you are looking for an altcoin investment, I do not recommend new altcoins. Without experienced people beside you, the risk of choosing a new investment is very risky, and may have a good or bad impact in the long term for you, because this is an important experience for choosing initial investments.

Yes mate I think altcoin investment will give a good idea and profit for futures. But in that case you must choose good top currency to invest in future. If you can choose top currency then future investment will bring you many benefits. But i can suggest to go with ethereum for future good if you can go with ethereum for future good then surely you will get good profit in future. Also there are some more coins like Solana, Dogecoin, ORDI, BNB, DOT, LINK, Etc with all these you will get good idea or profit in future.

I want to believe a lot of people already said you should Invest in Bitcoin instead. Investing in altcoins isn't a bad idea, but there's a way better idea and that's investing in Bitcoin. More expensive, Way risky, and more profitable.

To be honest, the only way I invest into altcoin is through mining. Anything involving money, to me, should go into Bitcoin.

Everyone definitely want profit when investing but it should be done in an appropriate way, an investor should always think smart and act fast especially when dealing with altcoins, firstly you should know the kind of altcoin that'll bring profit without loss and if you make a perfect research you'll find one but it still sounds risky, they're a lot of altcoins popping in now and with this strategy of buying and wanting to sell to accumulate bitcoin is a nice one.
My little advice here is make your own research first and know what you want for yourself, when dealing with investments like this it's best to always make research and never be in haste to buy or rather never buy aggressively without having a plan.

If your goal is to make profit then you should invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, Solana coins and Eloncoin. Though it is not bad that you asked because the population of the project or the coin you wand to invest also means a lot for the investment. You don't just have to invest because you see a cryptocurrency in the ecosystem system. And even though someone recommend any cryptocurrency for you to invest, you still need to make some research on it to have more knowledge on it so that you will know what you are doing.

Investing on a project that you don't have knowledge about or you have not seen is not too good so you have to know the basic things about the project.

Hey you want to do Altcoin futures trading and then use the profit to invest into Bitcoin and Eth then wait. Sounds cool but it's not as simple as you have mentioned because first of all you need to gain profit from futures trading as it's not everyone's cup of tea because it creates more losers than winners hence give it a second thought and never experiment with futures trading that too with Altcoin as you may lose everything anytime. There is no get rich quick scheme here and people often thinks they can make it big with future but not the case most of the time.

Try investing into Bitcoin and other Altcoins, if you earn good profit then you may experiment with part of your profit but don't play around with capital.

As per my experience it's a big no for altcoin futures.

The typical more normal route is to invest in BTC/ETH, then do futures when you have a better feel of the market; not the other way around lol. That's like joining the wrestling Olympics, then going for college wrestling after. You do the easy stuff first.

we all have that goal. but do you have the advantage of trying altcoin futures?  while i have seen someone do this already on one altcoin, it would be good to do it if you are sure where the price of the coin is going. probably just seeing a new article that is coming to be published and you are about to position for its futures market in a few minutes.

if you don't have this information, it's risky. BTC is already risky all the more on altcoin futures.

Well theres really none accurate prediction when it comes to market output. Evem professional sometimes got mistake or wrong results during the process. If you dont have a capital then how can you invest on such coin lile bitcoin. Its necessary to have funds when you want something to start with crypto. Maybe you could try to earn some but its not that easy to gain out of free capital.

Altcoins can be an investment solution for those who don't really understand Bitcoin, but you have to remember that investing in Altcoins carries far greater risks than investing in Bitcoin, even though the price of Bitcoin is very volatile

in the crypto market, there are several altcoins that can be used as investment options such as ethereum, bnb, solana and most recently the TON token (owned by telegram)

If you think you can time longs/shorts and not get liquidated while making the attempt, then sure! But if you're really going to ask us which altcoins to invest in, then you probably shouldn't do it. In fact, don't even do crypto if you can't make your own decisions. If you want to just buy and relax, go buy bitcoin and hold for years.
