You will need to think about it and don't get into FOMO yet. I'm not saying DON'T BUY but you will also consider first the current position of Bitcoin today. Take a recall of what happens in the last bullish season, you can't ignore such scenarios in the upcoming and much better to get prepared than to say sorry.

I suggest you to wait for a while, investing in today's price is a higher risk, better to wait when the market slowed down.
But of course, it's up to you then to listen and take my advice.

If we are talking hands off buy and dont even look at charts or guess the idea of trade or momentum and monetary flow into the blockchain then the simple rule is buy lower and sell after it rises.   So simple yet we find ourselves despondent when being asked a lower price for the same Bitcoin, kinda funny because a normal market you like lower prices but not this one.   Trading involves stop loss and some measure of taking a loss short term to realise greater opportunities and gains by buying lower but most of us arent amazingly accurate and are better served just buying regularly I guess.

Anyhow I wanted to follow up on the trade idea I posted during the week and I mentioned maybe coming back Monday to take the trade and it is lower on the open Sunday into Monday and so it was reasonable to wait yet it is within the same framework for a possible rise or retraction to consolidate.

So daily bars and top rung to the Fib levels is current area 15800 and second strand is about 15500, I reckon thats a reasonable line in the sand to mark if we can hold this higher movement.   Also to maintain momentum which has been considerable lately, the higher prices for this year might rest on this idea holding as support for now or I'd speculate we move into consolidation at lower prices.

Good time to buy Bitcoin? No, not this time. Don't follow with hypes, don't greedy as well to think that Bitcoin will SURELY have to continue rising at this time. Try to recall what 2017 has done, most late buyers had suffered losses and can be possible for you as well if you'll take the step now.

Anyway, your decision is important but if you are asking me? NO. I suggest you to wait when the hype is over or make an investment with the potential altcoins since they are still cheap this time.

There is some truth in your words, but are the current levels really similar to hype and overbought? At the moment we are significantly lower than ATH and it is difficult to talk about some kind of excitement (I remember 2017 very well - now there is not even anything close to it).

The topic should is it too late to use Bitcoin and the answer is never but if the idea is purely speculation then again its not really correct either as every day the possible trade setup varies.   Its far easier to be correct over years rather then hope to turn a quick 20% as justdimin mentions, thats far too close to luck and a skilled trader will spot a good probability to a trade setup but its still always just a maybe if you make a profit today.      What I really mean by using BTC is within a whole portfolio of assets, as an international value to send and use online it has its use of course and its going to depend on you how useful you think it is.   Speculating price to me is about observing the likely usage gained by others and is this sector expanding or contracting, we always hope the userbase is expanding but sometimes the price will get too hot.
To answer the OP directly I would argue BTC isnt too hot to touch over the reference of years.   This isnt just a crypto thing, I operate the same general attitude towards gold and is that commodity in a bullish phase over years or not;  I believe both are valid assets to be involved with but never go 100% or be ready to lose when pushed and definitely never leverage up and expect to win.

This question doesnt have that precise answer because anytime could really be a good time for you to buy bitcoin unless if you are just doing active trade then you would really matter most
even on the slightest price change unlike if you do tend to hold then you wouldnt matter much on what price you had bought.Important thing is that you do able to buy and
accumulate and store it on your stash and wait up for the bull run before making such selling action.Buying should be done when the market is read but most of the time on where people
do doubt when everything is red which it isnt surprising and cant be blamed and for those who do took risk then their the ones been rewarded.

This topic is a great example of "you are never too late to buy bitcoin" and everyone should see this as an example. OP asked it during $13.5k and was worried that he might have been too late to buy bitcoin, and today it is beyond $16.4k, that is 20% profit right there if he bought at that period.

This is why we should never doubt bitcoins price, obviously at $16k you may think that you are too late, but when the price reaches $20k and breaks the old time ATH and creates a new ATH, you would profit another 20% if you bought from today.

You could have bought ETH and made same type of profit as well, there are many ways you could make a profit in bitcoin but you have to get involved first, sure there are days you may lose money but you will have to wait for them to be over and you will eventually profit, no matter where you get in, you can't profit without getting in first.

And now it has reached 16k $, the possibility of a correction first, Bitcoin is currently in its resistance, if it breaks above so, the 20k $ possibility is real.

I get the impression that now the reasoning about the levels of resistance is meaningless - the movements are too easy and fast. It reminds me of a situation when bitcoin was in the region of 4 thousand and began to grow. Everybody thought that there would be some resistance at 5 or 6 K, but those levels were passed very quickly.

Hello guys do you think now is a good time to buy bitcoin for trading in cryptocurrencies not for holding it
because the current price looks too high for me (13500$) but im affraid that if i wait it will go more higher to 16k-20k
do you think BTC can fall again at least to 9000$-10000$ or that's not gonna happen and i need to buy it at this price ?

And now it has reached 16k $, the possibility of a correction first, Bitcoin is currently in its resistance, if it breaks above so, the 20k $ possibility is real.
Bitcoin broke $165k and moving forward, it's inevitable correction simply close to occur. I'd be glad to blow past 20k USD but for now I’m waiting for a major correction. Smells like precisely 2017 again so prepared and calmly waiting.

Bitcoin just testing the new resistance level, but $16K isn't strong support yet, it can retrace back to $15,500 but not underneath $15K.
The best price probably around $16,6-$16,8K before a correction occurs, so the best time to buy for Op has passed since he mentioned the price was $13,500 then two days later it spike up to $15,900 and there is no sign it will fall below $14K levels anytime soon.

If your objective is to trade, the price does not matter, you just need to have trading setups, a strategy and precisely apply this strategy

Its broken above its initial high from the price first reaching this range so arguably its a fair time to enter a trade and hold the recent low as a stop loss

This is only 1hr bars and the blue line is the 2 day moving average but BTC has alot of momentum right now.   Its not a bad idea to risk a long on the possibility that shorts are being forced out of the action and an accumulation of buying across the broad spectrum of participants.   Someone pointed out that google search results shows that Bitcoin has not risen in its interest recently, there is not a rise in BTC being searched for and his take was this is bullish as participation from general public could rise; this is trading talk for breakout potential.   My own take on a disparity is possible weakness but I defer to a more experienced opinion on that.
This goes against my character as Im really not the risk taking type and I already hold BTC over years but I may enter a trade either today or possibly Monday with a stop loss of about 15800.
What are the possible level or price for that breakout? If the momentum wont really changed up then we might really see some breakouts and on the sentiment about that interest thing then if thats the case then its still early for us to think about some correction. It isnt really bad to take up some risk on this current market condition if you do decide to make active trades. 15800 is indeed the support but most likely setting up some
SL on that part is somewhat shallow, maybe 15700 or 600 might do but well this vary on certain individual on how much he can risk on.For the question if its good time to buy bitcoin? then for long term aspect then its
always been a good choice but for shorter/active ones then this is where the true challenged begins.  Cool

The current price is above $15k so close to $16k. The price of bitcoin is stronger these days but we don't know at what price it will heading. If you are a into long term any price could buy and sell when in profit. The market condition these days is good since we observe the price of btc is increasing. Just invest on what you cannot afford to lose since market value is unpredictable.
My bitcoin price looks like it will go to a new ATH maybe it will break at a price of more than $20k, because until now the price is still stable between $ 15k it seems impossible if it collapses again and goes back to $10k, but do it at your own risk because it doesn't anyone can provide guarantees against rising bitcoin prices.

The market is in good resistance to grow higher than falling backwards. This time it is time to hold than thinking to buy. Right now big players will make large volume buys and tries to manipulate the market. By the time the market will move in either direction. It can go forward to reach $16000 or else down to $14000 or even below. By the time one can buy again than buying at the higher resistance level.

I wonder if we take the past 100 weeks and calculate such an investment, will it be profitable? At first glance, yes, since the periods of growth were long, and the falls were sharp. Have you checked your advice against historical data? Or are you putting your advice to the test in practice?

I mine and my deal is 1/2 the coins for the room and the power.

So once my gear is paid off. I buy all my coins at 1/2 price.
every two years i need to upgrade gear so I make money but dont get rich

My advice to buy 100usd 100weeks in a row. worked as long as you did not start

nov 1 2017

through

feb 1 2017

now if you did do 100 usd a week starting in that time period. and held after the 100 weeks were done.

say dec 1 2017 to nov 14 2019.  you would be down. on  nov  14 2019  but now that we are past 15000

if you held it would be over 100 x 100 = 10000 usd.

It may be a profitable strategy, but I think cryptocurrency investors are expecting big profits for such long periods of time. On the other hand, if we are talking about investing in conditions of limited resources, then this is a good approach that allows both to accumulate capital and to receive profit from the very first investments.

Price is just going sideways this week, wait for the break either way.    Everyone will give an opinion on whats expected but its better to take part in a price thats actually confirmed in a direction, right now this area is indecision and it can literally go either way from what I've seen.    You are not buying into a bullish channel or I'd recommend buying on the lows, its possible we top here for this year then move later but I dont know till it actually does something new really.
Similarly if it moves down, you have the benefit of gaining more BTC for the same exchange of currency and also arguably the luxury of time to observe price settling and buying into those lows.   Breaking upwards will give enough time to buy in and allow anyone to be part of the larger yearly price action.

From 15.5k it has fallen just below 15k but due to the string resistance at that zone the price bounced back and crossed again 15.5. So any dips at that range is looking for now a good buy. And for trader/short term holders that is a good thing as you can make quick profits in very short time.

fast profits only have futures traders, to be honest I don't like futures trading,
although it can make a lot of money but it can also make our capital lost,
it's terrible, it's better to buy Bitcoin now on the spot market.

It's an option to take and traders have different view points, whatever your take just make sure that it will favor you and good
understanding behind your decision making is really taking place.

It's your money to take and whatever investment strategy you have, best to make sure that you are knowledgeable with any specific
target that you are aiming,

Long term never really has a bad entry point, that is the point with bitcoin, you could have bought at $20k and I know you would have been in loss for the past 3 years and that is a bad thing but in 10 years even $20k will be looking cheap anyway so you are getting involved with something profitable. Literally logic would be not getting involved at $20k and when it dropped to $4k you should get there, buying at the bottom is the most important thing and you should always try to do that, instead of fearing bitcoin dying and no longer existing because prices are going down, you should think of it as discount and buy it when it is cheap.

However, this logic just stands there even at the all time high prices (which you shouldn't buy if you can) you could still profit in the long term.

Q4 is the month for Bitcoin, if you look at 2017 and 2019 in Q4 the Bitcoin price has increased,
and of course 2020 has also increased, and only 2 months left,
I predict the price of bitcoin will reach a new all time high this year and will continue until 2021.
Even it does not guaranteed that the price will also increase before this year end but seeing how the market reacts now after PayPal news chances is that it will still good to buy to take advantage of the price increase if ever it will happen again though there is a need to wait even a little dip since the price we're still consider too high now. Keep monitoring the graph and see where it suits to put some investment

Buying at low is what the most had to practice and this the preferred price. But if you are eager to start buying Bitcoin this time, at the point where the price moving high, less assurance that you can make good gains after. Make respect to its volatility, dumps is really inevitable, and that closely possible it happens when the price at its hypes. My suggestion to you is that don't take the risk this time, you'll be caught in a trap. May altcoins have a better position than Bitcoin just to look for a potential one.
Lower market price is the ideal but profit would still be earned from investing at this point even if the market value is already high. There is already a momentum in its market price which is something to hope for if you are planning to invest right now. If you are hesitant, that's fine, you are free to wait for a downfall to occur but there's no guarantee to when will market price increase occur after that because market behavior is uncertain in the first place. Market analysis therefore is needed before making an action. Whether to invest or not, the choice is yours to make.

for now, buying bitcoin is not the right time because the price is already very high you better buy altcoins if you don't have much capital because if you don't have a lot of useless capital it will be a waste of you if you invest in bitcoin at this time it's not quite right because prices have soared.

altcoin investment solutions with a slightly low price, you can see that the current ethereum price has reached $ 445, this is quite the right time to buy top altcoins because you can get big profits if good news occurs, it will make all prices go up especially supported by bitcoin prices has gone up so fast.

It all depends on your plan to invest and most importantly you buy it at the right time and not in a hurry, and if you are planning to invest in the long term I think you can buy it at any time.
and just waiting for the price to rise high to sell it back even though it takes a long time, the important thing is to sell above the price you bought before and believe me bitcoin will always give you the opportunity to give a good profit if you are patient and take advantage of the opportunity at the right time.

I take this as consideration to buy bitcoin for the long term, and not selling in a big part of bitcoin if the price does not increase so high. We can buy bitcoin any time we want, and that will not depend on how much the price now. Even if we buy bitcoin at the price now at $14k, if we still believe in bitcoin and we want to hold for the long term, we will make a good profit. As long as you can manage your money to buy bitcoin and you are not panic or rush to sell bitcoin, you will see bitcoin price will increase high in the future. So that will be your time to sell your bitcoin and make a profit.

Regardless of your reason (either for trading or for holding) its always advisable to buy when the price is declining.

Dont buy if the price is increasing because it cant be a consistent movement, remember that the price is high volatile.

Therefore its better to wait for dip before buying. Its a basic rule that a trader should know.

Before it is too late as soon as possible, it must be done when you are sure of the decline, then buy, but that also cannot guarantee whether the price will go down or rise which is clear when holding longer, regardless of the current price, it will definitely be bought.

But the current price is quite high but my level is $17k will be reached so it is possible that the current figure can still be corrected to buy and see how the movement and this must be monitored so fast the movement occurs.

Can you spend $50 a week for 50 weeks?

Or better yet 100 a week for 100 weeks?

I wonder if we take the past 100 weeks and calculate such an investment, will it be profitable? At first glance, yes, since the periods of growth were long, and the falls were sharp. Have you checked your advice against historical data? Or are you putting your advice to the test in practice?

You can buy Bitcoin at the current price, because the dump that occurs is a healthy correction for the market,
after this is a real bullish market, you can see after the weekend.

because the current price looks too high for me (13500$) but im affraid that if i wait it will go more higher to 16k-20k
do you think BTC can fall again at least to 9000$-10000$ or that's not gonna happen and i need to buy it at this price ?

Buy buy buy.

Just buy $50 usd a week.

Or $100 usd a week.

Don't look back.

Or better yet 100 a week for 100 weeks?

afraid to wait because you think the price will rise more but your also afraid to buy because you think the price is too high . you need to decide now because the time is running  .

the price can really rise now that we are now getting close to the last month of the year . btc are going to fall again but not the range that you expect because we are higher at this point  . it can decrease to a lower price maybe next year when the situation is going to get calmer .

buy Bitcoin at current price = Please take your own risk, if I personally, of course, buy it because Bitcoin hasn't touched $ 20k yet..

Bitcoin price could go back to $ 10k!!  Of course, it is very possible but if we pay attention, it is very likely there should be another big event (bad news or something) that will make the Bitcoin price drop by $ 10k..

Buy bitcoin NOW, it is very clear that the Bitcoin Breakout price of $ 14000,
and now reaches $ 15000 easily, $ 1000 increase in just a few hours, don't miss the bullish 2021-2022 year,
I believe ATH will be achieved for Bitcoin and altcoins. HODL!

If bitcoin price can get down to that price or lower price, that will be a good time to buy bitcoin, but if the price is not down to that price, and only stay at a price now or $15k, he could only buy bitcoin at that price. But yes, hold bitcoin will be the best advice to people, no matter what price they buy bitcoin. The bull run will happen soon, and they will make a profit in the future if they can hold bitcoin tight and not panic.

I'm a type of trader who usually do a trend following so for me it is good to buy bitcoins whenever its trend is currently uptrend because there is a high chance that its price will become more expensive because the market in uptrend is full of greed where a lot of institutions, individuals and organization are getting bitcoins as much as they can. I'm a type of people who usually avoid buying at downtrend because the price are continuing to decrease because the emotion of market is fear where a lot of investors and institutions wants cash than investments. Right now the price of the bitcoin is currently trending and I can say that it is a parabolic move because look at the price of the bitcoin where it have momentum in these past days and there are consecutives green candle which considered as good movement and we should expect that the price can increase more.
Trend chasing could also lead you to be a bit too late if you are not careful so you should be threading carefully when you are chasing trends. For example, if you are chasing right now, it means you could be too late to get in, maybe you won't be too late to get in, maybe this is a perfect time to buy bitcoin because in the next 6 months we are going to see the price do a 2x until it reaches peak?

We do not know any of this so I would say that you should be careful about what you are doing next. When bitcoin is in a bull run it is always easier to see it doing great and getting involved or at least wanting to get involved but the real place where you should buy should always be when people are worried about the price, because that is when it is low and that is when you can get it cheap.

Lol, that's a big risk you are implying there although there's no right time to say when is the right time to buy but we should minimize the risk when it comes to investment. Just think about it, isn't OP is actually buying at the peak if you recommend him to buy during the pump? I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because minimizing the risk will always comes first. Although if OP did bought it already then at least he knows what he is doing by just hodling it until the bull run started.

I personally think it's hard for bitcoin to fall back to $10000 because there are so many supports around and definitely they will be the boundaries for the bear. However, if you accept the 30% risk, there is nothing wrong with buying bitcoin at this moment. Bitcoin is predicted to be even higher and therefore, buying bitcoin right now can give you a decent profit in the future. Don't hesitate to invest money in bitcoin because it is considered safe haven on the Internet which can compete with physical gold

At the moment, I am holding 2 types of cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum. I expect that my portfolio will multiply by 4 times in the next 2 years.
We cant say that it is hard to fall into that level because we had seen in the past on how we badly do crash but i agree that its hard to believe that we would go back again in 10k
considering on the current price we are into.Is it time to buy bitcoin atm? for short traders then for sure they would wait up for some pullback or price decrease but for those
who are going for long term then it doesnt matter on what level or price they would go in as long they do believe into the coin on where they had invested on.

It is always a good time to buy bitcoin, because bitcoin is the hedge against inflation and increasing prices of everything in the world and there is basically nothing else that could improve as well as bitcoin in the near future as well. I am not saying bitcoin is at the great price right now to buy, maybe it would have been better if you bought a few months ago when it was lower, we all know that, but what people are forgetting is that if you do not buy now, you are going to regret it few years down the line as well.

You saying "I wish I bought at 10k, I would have made some money now at 14k" will be the same thing in the future when you say "I wish I bought at 14k, now I would have profited at 20k" when that happens. Which is why stop looking at near terms and think more long term when buying bitcoin.

For anyone asking this question, investing in BTC is always good - but only with that money you’re willing to lose at any moment - for some people it’s still better to stick to fiat or maybe gold.
I'd say those asking similar questions to this, should probably hold off investing into Bitcoin, until they've learned more about it, and how much the Bitcoin market has swung back, and forth over the years. Its probably never a good idea to invest in something that you aren't at least a little knowledgeable about, and wont have your opinion swayed easily, especially when listening to those that are on a Bitcoin forum, because their outlook is likely to be more positive than a broad investor.

People make big mistakes because they have a mostly misconception about what Bitcoin is, and it is often described as magical internet money (used to promote in Hong Kong recently). When a moment like this happens and the price suddenly starts to rise, it is logical to create a FOMO effect that is ultimately fatal for some because they have no experience.

I absolutely agree that we who have been on this crypto forum for a long time may not be able to be completely objective in giving such advice, but I always try to be as objective as possible. In real life, I have had situations where I have helped people invest in BTC, but their ignorance and ignoring of all my advice has resulted in a financial loss due to improper use of crypto wallets or loss of backups.

That's why I say that for some it is better to stick to traditional investment, not because I don't want them to be part of the crypto world, but because they are simply not ready to be their own bank.
The ignorance is what makes people to lose their investment, they are just buying bitcoin because they heard it from somewhere that the price will increase and it considered as FOMO. It is good to buy as long as their is a plan wherein there is a right entry point and also a cut loss level wherein if the price did not materialized on what is your bias.

Financial education is really a big help when it come to investing, I pursue other to make investment there first before they started to buy bitcoin. There are still many opportunity in the market and they can easily get it if they have financial education.

I would say it's bit risky to buy Bitcoin now as we might witness fluctuations anytime when it's trending at ATH value of the year, if you want to take the risk then it should be backed by efforts as well when it comes to trading, you need to be glued to trading site to make sure you are in situation to convert it into stable coin in case of any unexpected fall.

If you are a risk take then you may go for it as the returns will also be good because noone of us us knows if Bitcoin will break it's ATH till date this time and if that's the case it would be more expensive to buy on a later date.

With the increases in bitcoin price, it is not good to buy bitcoin because the price can get down without knowing how deep the price will go down.
Maybe you need to wait until the price makes a correction, and maybe the price will drop again.
But if you want to buy and sell, I think you can buy bitcoin anytime without waiting for the drop in the price because you only need to buy low and sell high.
It is not easy to find a low price in this situation because bitcoin moves going strong than before, but you might try by yourself.
With the analysis you have, maybe you can get the time to buy and sell, but you need to be careful.
Many traders sell their bitcoin at a good price this time because, finally, the bitcoin price can back to $14k. Even the price can touch $14,500 again.

I would have waited for the moment when Bitcoin can consolidate above 14K... If it happens, I would buy... Now it is risky to do so, because as you said there is a chance to buy it at 10K...
You sound too technical. I guess with respect to bitcoin trading cum investing calls you may take random shots by considering the market situations. Please note, if you have plans to hold bitcoins until it turns profitable then you may not need all the technical things to buy now. Still, buying after watching markets' potential to sustain above the resistance levels then you may go for buying.

Right now, bitcoin market seems strong above $14k still any short term pull back is possible as some traders may book profits before $15k as they do believe $15k must be another stronger psychological resistance level.

This should be a very good period for buying Bitcoin. Halving has passed, a FOMO bubble is kinda expected, the price is on the rise, PayPal came with good news...
Still Bitcoin is a risky investment and overall anything can happen. Sudden ups and downs are part of Bitcoin markets.

This being said if OP is unsure about "when to buy", maybe he can invest smaller amounts over longer period of time ("dollar-cost averaging").

Bitcoin is looking increasingly likely that it will breach over 15k once again, I am not sure if it will happen or not but I am sure that it looks like its closer to that happening more than yesterday. I don't know however what it means for us, just because it went over $14k doesn't really mean anything but just some people making profit, is there like an underlying another explanation for it? Is there like a "if we can break over $14k, we could also break over $15k" type of logic?

I don't know if breaking over $14k has any other meaning or anything but I know that it will definitely be something useless and worthless aside from just a tiny bit increase unless it is followed by something. We are already at $14.48k now, 500-600 dollar more is nothing unless it skyrockets after that.

Hi dude, since you wrote this thread, the price of bitcoin has now gone up to $ 14,256 in 24 hours from the previous price you have mentioned of $ 13,500.
We never know if bitcoin will drop to $ 9,000 or $ 10,000. It could happen, but don’t know when it will be. I think bitcoin is rallying towards $ 15,000.

i need to buy it at this price ?

Buy it and hold for a year is viable, to buy shorter term is speculative.    Last estimates Ive been reading is for a 2 year price accumulation which presumably means now is fine to buy, however thats the best case scenario and it might take five years for any positive to be seen overall.   Quite alot of patience is required and the ideal is to use BTC rather then only hold it for storage, some countries their own currency is so bad that BTC seems entirely sensible always as its linked to the wider world rather then a failing national economy.

5 years is quite long but I think we can harvest a good result but for safe we should look for short term also so whenever there's something bad gonna happen we already recover the possible losses we get from holding for 5 years timeframe although this is just an speculative thoughts so for sure there will be more gonna happen I'm the past years.

According to current market condition, no need to wait for 5 years, you'll get profits if you buy now and wait for 1-2 months as bitcoin in the bull run right now, expected to reach $15K-$16k. Bitcoin succeed to break $14K resistance after a few times attempt and dips, now it's facing $14,500 resistance and $13,900 support level.
The volatility of the market is unavoidable, so just bear in mind to be careful and be patient wait for the right time to buy or sell at the right time according to your plans, manage the risk and your money.

I don't know if it's the right time to buy Bitcoin, but mass adoption has already started,
Paypal, Twitter, etc. are trying to integrate blockchain in it, one of which is Bitcoin.
if you want to buy then you have to buy at a lower price, monitor prices all the time.

Buy bitcoin based on your own research because its too risky to depend on any advices since we all have difference insight about the price trend of bitcoin. I can buy now and wait for the price to go up and that is because of my risk tolerance, so what is ok for me might not be ok for you. There’s no good time to buy bitcoin, all you just need is to know what is good for you and have your own investment strategy.

There is no assurance for everything, bitcoin can go up or down no one can tell, if you are willing to take risk you can buy now, or if you think bitcoin is too expensive on its current price then wait for the price drop. Personally, i stop buying bitcoin because i already did this when the price is around 10K and now I’m just waiting for the right moment to sell.

Bitcoin is the best performing asset of the decade. Bitcoin has so much damn potential that invested in it much worth while. BTC is going higher and higher so pay attention to it. It's got the most solid potential to seriously multiply your money over the next few years. So far I'm hodling for years now and quite happy about it.

It's good for long term if you will treat it as your reserve investment but due to volatilities you need to plan ahead before taking your position.

For long term investors any time is good for buying bitcoin as the chance of rising the value are always possible to this coin after several years.

Make sure though that you are willing to take the risk in case something happened and affects the current rate, it happened before so anticipate

that it may happen again.

Bitcoin is going new highs, I'm not sure if it's first step of going new all time high but right now it's the highest number already, passed 14k and trying to hold onto it now.
You should ask yourself this, are you confident that Bitcoin is in bull run now and it will break strengths? If you are not confident enough you might make a panic buy and that would return you a loss.

I'm optimistic and I feel that Bitcoin will see new highs next year but I also hold my BTC so my buying point is not 14k. I probably wouldn't buy from this price if I do not have any BTC. Buy low and sell high, this is the basic principle. You are asking if you should buy from top already. Yes, we might see new tops, and I'm pretty sure we will see, but who knows when? If you want to make a good profit your entry point is very important.

but im affraid that if i wait it will go more higher to 16k-20k

This is the exact thing we call "FOMO".

I guess you are a bit late to buy bitcoin at a lower price Grin

But for a new comer in crypto space like him it isn't.
Did the people bought at $100, $1,000, or $6,000 said they bought late at a lower price?
I may reconsider buying today as late for the lower price If you're invested with Btc for quite a long time already.
Buying today might be a perfect timing for the future price of Bitcoin. Who knows Btc might be over $100,000 in the next few years. Btc's volatility makes it more interesting to invest.

Nobody can really help you in this situation - you are asking other people to predict the future and if anyone could do that, they would be making a lot of money from it. The general trend for bitcoin does seem to be upwards and demand is heavy right now. You have to remember that there are finite bitcoins available, which can fall each day as bitcoins get "lost" to the original owners for whatever reason and everyone is essentially competing for a pie of 21 million pieces. It seems healthy to have a chunk of bitcoin as part of a diversified portfolio, but it really depends on how much money you could afford to lose.

I suggest that, while there is nothing like the "best time to buy bitcoin", the decision as to buy or sell is completely up to you.
Totally agree with this, but should know when to invest, to buyback and sell. Dealing with this unpredictable market of Bitcoin is a real challenge we don't know yet if when this PayPal hype would ended because I know somewhere down the line the unexpected will always going to happen. And for the OP, I suggest you buy during the dip instead of buying now since the price is in peak side, you don't want to be worried if you are planning for a short term trade. Although, after the halving almost everyone is expecting the bull run next year, you might want to buy now and HODL until next year when the bull run starts.

I always say that the good time to buy Bitcoin is always when you have extra money and can afford to buy it.
Currently the price is on the rise so maybe a few weeks ago the time was more convenient but it's hard to predict when the price will fall or rise so it's up to everyone estimation what is the most convenient time. Just don't speculate too much, the price might go up even more.

do you think BTC can fall again at least to 9000$-10000$ or that's not gonna happen and i need to buy it at this price ?

This is the problem with people who keep asking the right time to buy until they found out that the price already increased, you should buy when you have the money to buy not waiting for the price to drop, I have experienced that myself waiting for the price to drop so I can buy but it never happened, because of the uncertainty of the market.

A few weeks ago bitcoin price weakened and tried to reach $9800 and below as its support previous support but it can't happen. Its price just touch $10000 as new support and has tauched many times it means I just thinking that at the current situation bitcoin will not fall to below $10.000

More than that with the strong fundamental I believe bitcoin can reach $20.000 as its all time high even more than that. As we may know the election in US will give a big thing for bitcoin price movement and also at the pandemic situation. The government will give a big stimulus that will make the dollar price will fall and as we may know if the dollar price fall bitcoin will increase as usual. So, this time is a good time to buy bitcoin, but you have to find another reason by yourself.

It's got the most solid potential to seriously multiply your money over the next few years. So far I'm hodling for years now and quite happy about it.

I am not sure anymore, I was thinking about selling my bitcoins at $13k when they moved beyond it, after that I saw it break over $14k and decided not to sell them, I was too late to sell at $13k and when I saw $14k it was also too late to sell because I imagined it would go higher, and now I am not sure.

Right now is not the time people could tell you to buy or sell, it is really high and usually you should buy when it is low and not when it increased this much, if you asked me during that $10k I always told people to buy because I believed it would go up and I was right, it did went up. This doesn't mean that it will not go up now, it could still go as much as $15k or even $20k and it could happen very soon as well, nobody could say it won't but it also is not guaranteed as much as it used to.

Its always a good time to buy bitcoin, whether dumping or pumping cost average in.  Put in buys regularly and you will protect yourself from both bottom and top buying bitcoin.  Its a good risk reduction method.
Absolutely right, there's a phrase that i maintain- the more you wait, the greater amount of chances you're losing the opportunity to get benefit. Bitcoin is very profitable so it's always recommendation to invest now. Don't wait other prediction, buy regularly and then you will find yourself as a winner in the long run.

I think you should lean first what is Bitcoin before trying to use this as trading material because this is not unless you have enough capital to do so.

Bitcoin price ranging from 13-14k these days and only gaining 1-3% each day,so how can you expect to get profit on that amount of increase when transaction fees will be there to take your small profit?
better consider other coins that has fast movement,if you get the perfect timing then you will have good income each day.

I would recommend you to wait for sometime until the price of BTC goes down because this is not the right time to invest as the market is bit stable from couple of weeks also the price is high when compared to the past few months price charts, there is a simple strategy if market buy low and sell high now anything is possible so better hodl your money and wait.

Well, personally, I think every time is the best time to buy bitcoins even if you are going for a trade but it will always depend on your timescale. I mean, if you purchase around $13k worth BTC you can still possibly earn profit and all you need to do is to wait. Honestly, we don't have any idea if Bitcoin if going to fall again or will go more higher, so I think the best option is to take the risk and purchase the amount you want then wait for it to acquire profit.

I think waiting for bitcoin's price to go down is the right decision before investing your money in it because bitcoin's price is still in a range of $13,000, and there are still chances for bitcoin's price to go down at least $10,000. To be honest, No one knows when will bitcoin prices go up or down due to its volatility. But if you assume and analyze that it will take long for bitcoin to go down at least $10,000 price, I think you should grab the opportunity to buy bitcoin.

That's why you need to react base on how the market loves today and if you want to buy by now simply monitor the market on how far the dump go and if you see enough fall then start to accumulate then wait for the pump since for sure we can see more pumping in next following days. But always remember that our expectations on the outcome sometimes never happen on our trades that's why it's good to spend time watching the market while you are waiting for good position or want to sell.

I can’t know when the OP first heard of BTC, but I can only tell him that it’s completely wrong to ask what he asks - so we’re not some prophets here who know if the price will drop below $10 000 again. Nothing is impossible when it comes to Bitcoin, and if you invest be prepared for losses one way or another, and by that I mean not only changes in price, but also the security of storing something as security-sensitive as Bitcoin.

For anyone asking this question, investing in BTC is always good - but only with that money you’re willing to lose at any moment - for some people it’s still better to stick to fiat or maybe gold.

If I tell you that this is not a good time to buy Bitcoin, does it matters to you?
That because you are afraid, you are also not sure if you want to invest and face the risk. There are various factors that help you to fill your doubts and maybe decided not to invest now.

try to check its market trend, try to consider what happens when the price surging high. Dumps have something to see after. Buying Bitcoin this time is not really good but of course, it also depends on your discretion.

If you are afraid to for buying Bitcoin, then you can use some stable coin pairs, like USDT pairs just for trading if you don't want to get affected by the price of Bitcoin.
I also experienced this before when I am using Bitmex since Bitmex only allowed Bitcoin to trade and I only have fiat or money on my bank account. But the purpose of it, is for trading it Bitmex so I didn't think about the price of Bitcoin if I want to convert my fiat to Bitcoin and use it for trade, I think and focus on trading, how will I gain more Bitcoin.

Well, if you wish to be a long term trader, it's a good price to buy now. A right time to buy is the key to gain a good profits. I suggest you have to learn reading indicators so you may know "when" is the right price to buy bitcoin.

It's hard  to just say this is the right time to buy at $13k because market suddenly crashes or regret not to buy now and suddenly it pumps. Better to rely on twchnical analysis and wait for another dip so you'll have a better future accumulation of profits.

I think you need to read this tip for you to atleast have an idea about  the best buy btc.

I guess you are a bit late to buy bitcoin at a lower price Grin
Literally speaking yes. But since crypto is volatile, we dont know when it will hit a non stop geen dildo state. It could be also a bottom to a $100k price but still its not sure.

If OP is seeking a higher gains then there are some with lots of potential aside from bitcoin with lowe cap but still risky. Same goes with btc but with its popularity and adoption, price could move stantaneously. Better to have some bag of it so in any case it did moon you can share some gains.

But you can buy bitcoin at any price without thinking about the high or low price, but I suggest you wait for a while until you can see a big red candle come to the market. If you can see that sign, that will be a good time to buy bitcoin because the price will be lower than before, and you can buy bitcoin as much as you want. Bitcoin price now seems to want to rallies to the high price because the green candle is back to the market, and the price still rise, and hopefully, the price will break $14k. You can wait for more for the next correction of the price to buy bitcoin.

Everytime the price is going upwards, that's the always question.

Everytime the price is going downwards, others are waiting for more dip before making an entry but in most cases, it doesn't happen.

The best mindset should be, once 100% decided and you understand the risks, go ahead and enter at any price level. After that, hope for the best. For sure, the same question will be raised again either the price goes upwards or downwards later on.
This question is often asked, maybe beginners say like this, if you don't want to take the risk then I think there's no need to do that bitcoin price is difficult to guess but with analysis we will know how to react to the speculation we have prepared, for me this is the price still low and it will probably go up above $ 15k if that happens if it goes down then we should stick with the btc coin hold.

The mindset must be guarded, don't just look at the increase for a while, it will make the OP hesitant and have to choose which one is clear that you are strong in trading,

Today bitcoin price reaches $14K for a moment and then drops to $13,800, a volatile market obviously.
You can check some technical analysis where bitcoin is heading, mostly show that it will break $14K and may reach $15K by in this month.
No one can guarantee it will happen 100% but the sign and market sentiment leads there.
Don't invest what you can't afford to lose, you can wait as long as you want, but I doubt it will fall below $12K anytime soon.

The next halving is way out in 2024 so if you are able to throw the ca$h in and wait, you will come along well in the future or possibly even in the short term given the PayPal news. The key is to HODL till you get the price you want but your money may get stuck on it for a while so only throw at it what you can sit on. If you know how to sit well, this will build out nice.

Bitcoins history has suggested that it is very volatile, and reacts to news with bigger swings than more traditional currencies. For example, the recent Paypal news, and various other things have caused the price to rise, however its not guaranteed that the price will return to lower values, even when you look at the history. That's the beauty, and risk of investing. Words of advice is always; only invest what you can afford, Bitcoin although can make you a lot of money, you can also lose just as much. You have to be willing to lose what you invest, and still be able to support your life outside the investment. No one, and I mean no one can give you 100% assurance that you will make money. You can read all the information, and speculation out there, but it doesn't mean its anywhere near being accurate, and what tomorrow brings.

In other words you want to profit but can't decide if the current price is high or low Cheesy

I had fun reading this because it's one of the best examples of FOMO attitude presented by newbie traders.

Nobody is going to help you here. Buy if you want, don't buy if you don't want it.

If all you want is to make some quick buck and dump it next week, don't buy. You'll get burned and come back here to cry that it's manipulated by whales and you lost money.

It all depends on your timescale..if you're willing to wait patiently for years and not panic-sell during the crazy downswings in between, then any time is the best to buy bitcoin, because eventually it'll be worth more than you've paid for it.
