it is very easy in theory but it is very hard to do.
i saw many people did the same thing like what you're thinking right now,for example he made a domain based on EBTC,
but it turned out to become a scam,in the end nobody want to buy his domain.
plus the only one who will buy your domain would be the developer themself.
if you're choosing a scam project, your domain will be worthless.
so i do not think it's a good idea

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
It might be a workable idea. But in crypto, most of the projects does not care about .com. You see domain with any extension. It gonna be a big investment if you are buying all extensions. Renewal of domains will also cost you a bomb every year.

The password - related domain name is not very useful, I see a lot of people are doing it. There is no market for individuals.

Would I make good profit, for example, by the end of 2018 if I buy domain names now and resell them at some point when the price goes up ?

Could potentially be a profitable idea. The problem is it's already 2018 and crypto started in 2009. I'm fairly certain that you aren't the first person to think of this after 9 years. All the good crypto domain names will by now have probably already been taken.

I guess if you can find some that are expiring then you could get lucky.. But the fact that they are expiring means that nobody wants them.. lol.
