Funny thing but that is actually pretty good.

So I would need another +90 machines in the hope to make 1BTC per day...

Hardly seems worth it really.

Yes, but at least you are getting something while others just whine...

Don't get me wrong, I am not really complaining as such, I want to make sure I am getting the expected results for what I have, (and if it is worth it for what I have).
If I am indeed getting the right(ish) results then it is up to me to choose if I want to continue or not.

Like I said it pretty good.

unless you have like free power or off grid solar energy its worth to be mining even small amounts since power is free.

Buying one of this (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/asicminer-auction-10-block-erupter-blades-ended-178275) will net you around 0.7+- BTC per day, so it is easy to put in perspective to how much Gh/s you need for 0.5+-.

Thanks, I'll look into it now.

without a asic miner, it's totally worthless. please consider switching to LTC mining.

I never heard of an ASIC miner, I wouldn't even know where to look for one.
I'll google it later.

Hi,

This is my first post here and I am new to the whole bitcoin 'thing'.

I am using BitMinter to mine for some  bit coins both on my home machine as well as my work machine.

In a little under 12 hours I have managed to get 0.00010591 BTC.

While I am sure, with some tweaking an playing around, I might be able to improve it, but realistically, I will never be able to get much more than 10x that amount on my machines.
Or about 0.0010591 BTC, at the current rate this is about US0.20c per day...

Is that right? or am I missing something here?

It looks to me like I would need to buy a brand new dedicated machine worth +$2K just to mine for $1 per day, it hardly seems worth the investment to me.
I am realistic, I am not looking to mine 10 or 20 BTC per day day, but I would like something like 0.3 or 0.5 per day.

Is my math right? Or is it simply a case that I started mining way to late and this is as good as is gets now.
