Yeah, we can call it as loophole, because it's direct referral link.
For example, people can't post referral links of faucets on Micro Earnings board, but it's allowed to promotoe faucet lists, rotators and blogs. Same thing with gambling websites, airdrops and similar stuff related with affiliate marketing.

Its shady I agree and would be frowned upon by most people. Still its the readers discretion what to click on and what not to. Wink

As is any thing on the internet T.U.E.  Cheesy Most users are active in the space and utilizing the signature area for promotion purposes which makes BTCTalk a market in itself.

Clearly, it's a programming loop hole, bc the content isn't technically on the site.  I don't mind it and think it adds a nice promotion tool for active members.

I wouldn't say it's strictly against the rules, and I guess it's a loophole, but it could lead to issues with people posting external sites just for the refs. Many gambling review sites do take advantage of ref links to make their money but as long as the site is providing a helpful service I don't see an issue with it (yet). That might change if people start abusing it and posting links to their crappy blogs etc.

Well, I think that won't be a big issue because it is very easy to post a referral link here, but it takes time and effort to create a site. Even if it is a crappy blog it takes some effort.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
it says here its not allowed but the referral link is on his website i think it doesnt break the rules.
4. No referral code (ref link) spam.

Its did not get removed because it does not directly link the referral links. The person who is going to click on that link posted by the OP of that thread Don Pedro Dinero is talking about will have to decide whether to click on the link provided on "that" site or not.

Since the referral links are not posted directly on bitcointalk it possibly wont get nuked/trashed.

Yes, I knew that rule, that's why I am wondering. It seems a kind of loophole, lol!

I’ve just replied to this post, but just after I did I started wondering if that kind of post was allowed here. The guy links a site with gambling reviews, and that page contains referral links to those sites.

As referral links are not allowed here, I’m not sure if that breaks bitcointalk rules or not.
