Depending on the approach. Do attend meetup and build trust among people before sharing your idea, if it is that superb, there are lots that are looking to invest into talent but it must have a real use cases and have an edge over what is currently in existing.

That's why it's really good to have a good running product first before offer a partnership to anyone

Nobody would ever get anywhere if it was done like this. It's more like, going into partnerships that are well risky but knowing about the risk, knowing that it's likely the project will not pan out and being prepared for it.

So for instance, it makes sense to ask what you will get out of it if the project fails and there is just no money? Sometimes what was built can be reused for another project, or there can be an email list that can be reused and so on.

Instead I see people (like in marketing and such) trying to lock up an ICO project into a multi-year contract (lol).

Just learn to deal with risk man..

I think that if it is difficult enough, in my case what i do is receive or make donations but i do not have a partner. The plaform i use is MintMe ,this platform is a cryptocurrency exchange with a simple idea, you can monetize any idea you have by creating a crypto token for it and offer it for money to potential investors and fans, while giving them the opportunity to become token creators as well

what I see today is that people are very afraid of success. they don’t want to try something new, because they’re afraid to try and post new ideas. the vast majority do not have a vision of enterprises and are not interested in anything. Nobody would call you to be a partner in a successful company!

if the owner of facebook asked you to be his partner without you investing anything would you go? of course it is!

now imagine if Zoo Zuzenboing invited you to be a partner in the new backbook software.

there we can understand what real life is like.

There was a study that only 10%  succeed in their online venture while the remaining 90% are still trying or have give up, it takes an experienced developer or internet marketer to succeed in this business because the competition will eat you up, Mark Zuckerberg is just so lucky that he got all the breaks and the right people to be on board.

In our experience, if you build out a good minimum viable product, people will flock to you to help you build it bigger and better. You won't have to search them out. But as another person said, if all you have is an idea, that probably won't get you far.

Correct because people now are optimistic with all possibilities and also mindful with certain events that's why you cannot blame people to doubt for those who place their ideas here. That's why it's really good to have a good running product first before offer a partnership to anyone since people right now are into result not on just a dream to be successful for an idea that doesn't guarantee at all.

The real issue here is trust. Even in the outside world, strangers are not trusted. You don't join a group of people for the first time and they handed go all trusting. If that should happen, there is even need for concern. I can't imagine a newbie coming into the forum and the only contribution is expecting people to trust him just like that because he needs a partner. What the happen to earning trust first or understanding the community. I am sure long standing members of the forum have engaged in deals that goes beyond the forum because the trust is earned and not cheap.

no buddy, people are afraid of failure. Cooperation with anonymous people from the internet it is always very risky. Like Vod told you if you will only through PM talking about your idea, for sure you will not find investors.
if your business seems sustainable, it won't be a problem for you to find a brave one investor. and just think of how many good ideas there are left to be just an idea because they are not well presented.

the most difficult thing to find right now is trust and hard work, good partners are those who want to sacrifice and be honest.

if you show ideas, ambition and consistency then the path for you to get a good partner will open, don't give up and keep looking for your partner in the crypto project.

It will always depend on how you pitch/market your project to any prospective clients. It's like shark tank where even if these people with money don't have any interest in the project at first but everything can change when the project devs/founders will explain what their project is and more importantly how much they can earn from it. Aside from your pitch you should also check for the legality of cryptocurrencies in the country you are proposing it and see if they have any kind of attractive law for their crypto industry. It just means more bucks for the investors if you say these country has this benefit if you started to operate there.

does anyone know anyone who could be a participatory partner for a new platform?

Everybody here wants to be part of the next big thing in fact they are looking for one, but it depends on what you are offering and what are the reputation of the people offering the new platform, it's how you present what your platform and who present it if all the features are all here then many people will be interested to participate.

No one will spend the money on any platform provided there is a mutual benefit and most important trust between the parties. If you think by making a random post wth no details, you will get financial partners, then you must rethink your strategy.

Anyone with money and interest.

But since you probably want to tell everyone the details via PM, you won't get any interest here.

You are right I want to know first hand what I'll get into what are the requirements, what kind of platform and before that your credentials so we can start what we are going into, I have encountered a lot of people who wants to invite people, where he is good at only is lip service, and just want to be the middle of the middle man.  Cheesy

It is difficult in a sense that if you met that person in the cyberspace then that is a red flag, but if you know them in real life and you can reach them out then that will be different. Finance is a dangerous so you better know your partner because betrayal and scamming is easy.

I do not know if you ever approached a business or Bank for funding or if you talked to family or friends and asked for money... normally you will be asked to give a detailed project plan or at least an explanation for the funds or partnership that you are seeking.

The same requirements are applicable to public forums like this... a one liner with no details will get you nowhere. Your thread title asks a question, but the content does not answer that question.  Roll Eyes

Please update your first post with a detailed outline of what you are doing and what kind of help you are asking for.  Wink

Hedge funds and venture capitalists are not difficult to find if you know where to look into.

In case you are developing something that is having a value or a good market to pounce onto, you will get investors if you are pitching yourself properly. Remember that there are always people willing to pay to take part in a project that can be close to a big name in future but most of them wont stay for long if you are not giving out results regularly.

So the first thing to do is to develop the project and see how much attention it gains from start up enthusiasts in terms of being funded. You could do a survey for that as well.

You and your partner must agree with both interest. Looking for someone to fund you online is going to be difficult if you don't have anything to share and to show what you are up too.

But if your minds tact together, you can have your mutual feeling but it's not yet the end of the deal. You are just in the beginning of the process and if you can't set a meetup in person due to the pandemic, you can try yourselves through virtual meeting and see if you have something in common as long as you or your partner has the money which will suffice the project you will be supporting.

If you are just a random guy who has idea and needs partner with funds and resources to release this idea and don't know people around you well that work in this field, tnhen I think it will be almost impossible for you to get a partner.
You can meet people in local cryptocurrency meetups ad conferences, it's a good opportunity to make a friend and establish good connections. You need a team at least. Startup funders are your best friends in this situation. Have a right plan, find resources, a team that has experience and has an ability to release your idea, be confident and make sure investor(s) that it's better to become your partner than someone elses'.
