Yes it is a good time to buy and invest in Siacoin but this coin is good for long term investment. It has been around that range for months now and hopefully it'll have good news so the coin can pump up a bit.
I dont think its a good time. I dont like Sia that much. But it could maybe bounce in the next time
What I have noticed so far is the SC has very slow growth in its price so if you want to make some profits from it then I think you really need to hold if for a very long time which can be boring and risky too as price may crash in future too.
See there are many chances that the price of SIA coin will increase, right now the value of SIA coin cheap in the market. Not only me there are many people in the market are holding SIA coin for the future purpose. Sometimes it will take time to release the developments from the team.
it seems to be stabilizing 122-125 after its recent push, i think we could be ready for another big push especially with the potential news incoming from the team
Very dedicated team and lots of potential. However, and I am saying this as someone who's invested in SC, the regulatory framework in the US is just a pita, and who knows what's gonna happen further down the road. So my general advise is to stay away from projects based out of US.

I have given up on SIA, I had money in it while it was on the top and sold all my sia while it was there, will not be going in.
If you look at the promotion video of kim dotcom with his k.im coin you can see that his idea will make use of SIA. So i think this will increase the price as more will make use of the system. However looking at the same video you can see that also STORJ is used. So it will be a battle of the 2.

I also have a couple of Siacoin kept on hold for quite a while now and still waiting for it to moon. I sure do hope it will soon recover soon and give an update about the coin itself if there are any projects of progression. Still believe in this coin that's why I'm hodling it.

I'm not gunna lie -- Even with how much I despise SIA right now -- I would buy a metric frick ton if it dropped to 1 sat.

I hope you guys are right because I bought a whole lot of siacoins at 160 and the price is now almost half 
, I think the price drop was partly because it got delisted from cryptopia so this now might be the bottom

I think, investing in SC is perfect for short term types. I am based on poloniex and bittrex, both trading in SC as well as trading volume still high. So, i am optimistic there will be a kick in prices.

I think I thought SIA "would blossom in 6 months" or so, about six months ago. And here we are.
I have been following SIA for over a year and think I have finally given up on it, and it feels good.
I have several hundred thousand SC or so (which is worth almost nothing because there are 6 bajilliontrillionmillionbazillion SC in current circulation) that I am going to dump as soon as it makes sense. Hopefully within the next few months.
I think SIA is on it's death bed & investing in it now with any substantial amount of money would be a BIG mistake.
It's depends in you. But a simple advice siacoin as of now is fluctuating and the value of this coin is to low. Just study the situation before you enter in one deal. Just look around and searching for new coin that you will gain high profit.

Siacoin is a good investment. Very cheap price. And the team behind Siacoin is pretty solid. They are doing quite well in making sure that the project is functioning well. SC has been doing their project for a while and they are on their way to accomplish much. Hold long term.
I would not buy SIA. it keeps falling and falling and who knows if it ever goes up again. To me the future is very unsure when it comes to SIA.

Siacoin has dropped hugely from past few months. It was at 500 satoshis a few months back but now its at 100 satoshis. It is surely at a good price now but what if it goes more down. I don't want it to die either but the way it is going down from few months is making me think that it will die soon. It has a good team but then I still don't know the reason why its going down. May be people just don't want to invest in it anymore.If you have more money and just want to spend it somewhere only then you should think of buying it.

For all these reasons they are many steps ahead of the other players on the field.
In short it may a very formidable entity someday however it probably wont be any day soon. If you dont end up investing buy a few SC just to play around with the storage contracts.

There was a news that HP (Hewlett-Pacckard) working on the creation independent cloud data-storage. And this project will base on siacoin. And also, the conception of coin looking very promising.
Can you please give me link. I bought Sc 128 satoshi a few days ago and it dropped continuously; Currently Sc is 112 satoshi. I began to worry about its future. However, I still believe Sc will increase again but I do not know when, maybe it will last long and my money will be held in it.

I took interest in SC a while ago, and still hold some coins just in case i´m wrong. I´m feeling bearish about SC because:
1- lot´s and lot´s of coins around.
2- Interesting project, but competition is on the way. Every simgle project as a service or product to be paid with there tokens. It´s not the future. You will want to buy the service or the product with a coin that is a little more widely accepted. Don´t see SC being that coin.
3- If the project itself is a winning one i see there participation and actual "dividend" sharing fund mooning, but not SC itself.
4- for the short term i don´t see support so i´m not betting on it for a quick buck.
that said i keep some pocket change around, so if i´m wrong i´ll profit a little from this.
I really believe in its technology, storj or sia, both coins are good but I think Sia is better. It is the best time to buy Sia, it is really very cheap now.

Was able to get out of Siacoin months ago when they are still the hottest trend in the altcoin industry. Was very happy I profited a lot and once I get out the price started to plummet, proud of myself reading the trend and was able to exit just in time.

Sorry to burst the bubble mate but its not a good time to invest on it currently because it has lost its magic already and the price continuous to goes down. Better off finding new coins to invest your money. You might get trap and the only way to get out is to experience a lost. There are a lot more good coins out there. I won't spoon feed you but advise you to do your own research before putting investments.
The price is down and so there's a chance that it will go up again to $0.008. Yet this is true if there's some development and faith of people behind it. File contracts is a good idea to make their storage reliable. Dev team isn't really famous, so that's a con. Storage cost is a lot lower than Amazon and Google cloud. Still, I think storj has more potential, it's just too new to be competive with sia already. Anyway, going 2x seems realistic, so maybe I would go for it if I were you.

I would not invest the whole 2000 usd in one coin. SiaCoin is a long term hold which i think - In July 2018 is the obelisk asic miner release. I think that could give the SiaCoin much more value.

SiaCoin is continuously going down without a break or consolidation. I would suggest to avoid investing in it.

Yes it is if you looking to hold it till the end of the year buy it now but if your plan to get quick profits it looks like the price might even fall below 100 sats but as the market is slowly recovering it will start getting the attention it needs and you will be able to double your initial too quickly
