If you place an order to sell @ $65 on MTGOX it will only get hit once all the other sellers below you are exhausted and remove their bids.

You could make a habit of putting in a sell order at $5-10 above current market price when you go to bed, but that's pretty cumbersome to do every day. The app you speak of would also be interesting, and shouldn't be too hard to put together for someone who knows how to make apps.

Well, if you fill out the order form at bitcoinbuddys.com during the spike, you will be locked in at that price, feel free to ask questions here or email us at [email protected]

If you want to walk on water, get out of the boat
Hard? Well if the spike last only for some minutes because then other people sell and the price drop... you must sell before them. But as you see the price settled at like 57, so selling at 57 now isn't hard

If there is someone who wants to buy at that price- yes.
You can be brave and ask for a higher price- if the market gets bullish, someone might pick up your deal.

Okey Dokey Lokey
Im not sure what curreny your using, bitcoins spiked to $62.
Nevertheless the point of you question is weather or not it would be hard to sell them.
At the full price? Yeah, Kinda hard...
at $1 under the full price? Not so hard, It all depends on how much your asking for them

is it hard to sell your btc when they spike in cost. like this morning we went up to 75+ dollars. i could have made alot of money had my phone/ pc alerted me of this spike ( i need an app that does that) but would it have been difficult to sell them even if i had known what was going on.
