Is it legal to accept fiat during ICO? Please advise if otherwise.
I had seen some of the ICOs accept fiat money also from the investors to participate on the project but it is lot of complicated thing in my view, just accepting the crypto currencies will be the better thing.

Why not ? It all depends on the country in which you live, if it does not have permission to pay for cryptocurrency, then of course it would be more convenient to pay with fiat files, but in my opinion most of them invest in fiat and do not trust their wallets.

If you don't mind, are you part of the the team or you planning to pay in fiat?

If you're the one who will use to pay in fiat then you should be careful, and as what they said above, just buy USDT since it's good as fiat tho hence, there will be no problem for both parties.

If there is a problem with fiat, you can accept fist based cryptocurrency like USD tether or TRUEUSD. I think it will solve your problem. Now, JPM coin can also be a solution to this since it is also usd backed coin.
Lol don't shill here.

It happens on rare cases and it will be difficult to track the investors while making payments on fiat cash I think, you can make the accepted currency for your ICO into wide range rather than accepting fiat.

But yes it is legal and what are the things you can get by accepting fiat for your ICO can be found https://applicature.com/blog/accepting-fiat-currency-ico

Bank wire transfer.
Bank wire transfer is not advisable in most of the country, but I don't think so if it is allowed in your country.
There's a law regarding this but I don't have a full idea. Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA)will be filtered all banks portal transactions especially those big amounts that look suspicious and freezing your money to them.

I think there's no problem accepting fiat from ICO project as long as they are legit and they have a license on any banks who accept crypto and yes it depends on which country you are.

I remember hearing about some ICOs and projects that do accept FIAT payments. But they need to acquire a banking license. This is often done in Estonia. Estonia is a crypto friendly environment but their banks are still sceptical regarding crypto businesses. They have issued 100s of licenses to different crypto related businesses, such as Exchanges, but acquiring an Estonian bank account is a bit tricky. The solution to that problem is to register a bank account in another county.

Here are some resources about crypto related activities in Estonia:

Search for the “Howey Test” to see the standard set by the US government for what is and is not a security. This is not legal or financial advice.

As someone else already said this depends on your country and the country from people will invest in your project. I highly suggest calling somebody expert on this sector before starting doing something with possible future legal problems.

This is something that you will have to ask a legal representative of your country as they will be best clued up on it.This forum operates within USA jurisdiction I think so unless its illegal here it will not be removed but the best thing for you to do is contact someone within the EU jurisdiction to see if its illegal or not.

It probably depends on your country.

Moldova.

Fiat transactions can be reversed (unless they're cash in hand).

Bank wire transfer.

It probably depends on your country. I think a lot of these don't accept fist because they're wanting to scam and fiat transactions can be reversed (unless they're cash in hand).
