I believe it is a limitation of either the Trezor bridge or the Trezor device itself that it can only seem to handle having two concurrent "connections".

I've attempted to generate multiple wallets... using various combinations of the "bridge" and "web-usb" connections displayed in Electrum, but the max that you can have connected is 2. A possible workaround is to not encrypt the Electrum wallets when you create them. If they're not encrypted, you don't even need the device connected to be able to open them.

When you want to send, you'd need to close the wallet you want to send with... connect the Trezor then re-open the wallet. It should do the initialisation and ask for PIN etc.

Oh, I see what happened. I was actually talking about the accounts which are from a single seed--trezor. The "third window--wallet" is the account I tried to open after the other two.

sorry, got confused there since you need to add each account which is referred as "wallet" in electrum

Ledger user here as well and Lucius is probably right.

If you connect a Ledger to your computer and use it with the Ledger Live app you can't use it at the same time in connection with a 2nd wallet, like Electrum for example. You have to close Ledger Live and reestablish connection between Electrum and Ledger again.

If you use your Trezor only with Electrum does it work?
And if you use it with the 'third window--wallet' (I assume you mean a 3rd party wallet) does it work on its own?

I am using Ledger Nano S in combination with Electrum, and I have Legacy+SegWit wallet. When Legacy wallet is open I can not open SegWit wallet until I quit Bitcoin app on Nano S and start it again, then I can open SegWit wallet. I never try to open third wallet in same time on Nano S, and I do not have Trezor, but maybe there is some limitation in Electrum or in Trezor in number of open wallets.

So I started using trezor with electrum and earlier whenever I open the third window--wallet, I kept getting the hardware not detected error. I tried to unplug and plug it in again which did nothing.

thoughts?

EDIT: thankyou @HCP
