Liverpool in recent weeks have been nothing short of disappointing to say the least. I've watch the last 5 games especially the one that started the entire cascading poor performances which is that draw at old Trafford. Liverpool team have very little to offer going forward and they spent 2/3 of the entire time against Atalanta today passing the ball back to alisson. Atalanta then made sure they kept Liverpool deep in Liverpool's backline and Liverpool let them by continuous patronization of Alisson.

Against Barcelona, it was an entirely different atmosphere. Liverpool's squad entire morale is down such that even Jota or Trent can't produce a spark since coming back from injury.

The game is at it 64 minutes and Liverpool is leading with 1 goal to nothing from the Atlanta this should be call a revenge time and if Liverpool could manage to secured the winning by adding an extra goal even if it not up to the 3 goals that the opposition won them in the first leg of the tournament, but all the same let see what the magic that Liverpool will perform in sustaining the current winning till the end of the match, since they are highly in control of the ball possession but finding it hard to record multiple goal's despite the many opportunities that come along during the entire played time.

Well unfortunately for some people and fortunately for some, the match has ended by just the one goal that was scored by Salah in 7 minutes of the game. The early goal gave hope to team followers that Liverpool would get the three goals back to equal the aggregate but it didn't happen as the match unfortunately ended that way. Liverpool couldn't utilize the chances they had and that gave Atlanta the aggregate of 3:1.

Actually, nothing is very impossible in the game scene. That was why someone once said that football is a game of luck; one club must lose for another to win, and vice versa. I have not been very free this season to keep up with watching those live matches, but by reading some of the highlights, I know that Liverpool is not really performing so badly in their past fixtures apart from the previous matches with Atlanta and Crystal Palace, but most of the time, their past poor performance doesn't usually determine their future performance. I am of the opinion that Liverpool will qualify for today's match.

I strongly believe that Liverpool can still progress to the next round. This is a team that is well known for coming up with extremely special and big performance on occasions like this, remember what they did to Barcelona on their way to their last Europe League final.
Having that in mind am positive that Liverpool will win today's match and progress to the next round.

Now Liverpool are just trying to play brilliantly there are any results we see later...
The line-up has been displayed on Liverpool's official X page where Gakpo, Salah, Diaz will be the main starters in attack while Nunez is on reserve maybe he will enter in the second half.
This is already the main squad, there is also a strategy of how Klopp will do it will try as much as possible we will know how with this result as a decisive where the 3-0 aggregate disadvantage.

Good analysis.

The first match between the two clubs was dominated by Liverpool by 70%  ball possession but Atalanta still later won with 3 goals to zero. It is true that with their head-to-head, the away team always win between these two clubs. But just only three matches that have been played between the two clubs before. Some people may choose Liverpool to win with handicap of 2-0 or 3-0 which have  higher odds. Atlanta may want to become tough this time to change the whole thing in a way that Liverpool may win but in a way that Atalanta will qualify. What I just know more is that Liverpool might win.
The First match was a time that Liverpool was still trying to recover from various players injury and other crisis in the club and as the early stage of the competition the Atlanta team Capitalised on that to bring home their remarkable winning against Liverpool, but if you check recent performance of both clubs, you already know that at this stage of the competition the Atlanta team may not be presented with such opportunities as they hard in the early stage.

But then everything in football is based on luck so the club may still be lucky to win in tonight, but that is going to be some tough fight to achieve.

There's nothing that isn't possible to happen when it comes to football, and if it's designed to happen, besides loosing 3-0 isn't that big deal to bounce back compared to what we have seen happen in football, fast-forward back to history ,Even Liverpool has done it against the Barcelona team in the Champions League, where they lost 3-0 in the first leg and came back to win Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg game, If they come out to play with full strength and mount a lot of pressure on the opponent side , and try to take advantage of every good opportunity to score, it even possible to score the 3 goals in the first half.

It is more possible than it may seem. Atalanta's legs have gone a little. They threw away a 2 goal lead to Verona on Monday. Liverpool have had more rest.

It is absolutely possible, but unlikely.
Liverpool is also not that performing well in premier league. The club won the last 4th and 5th matches, it drew the 3rd and lost 2nd and the last match. But the way Europa is, the players will have more energy to play. But if Liverpool even only won the last match, the club would have been on the first position in premier league. Liverpool might win but it is not performing good recently which makes me not to have the confidence.

It is absolutely possible, but unlikely.
In champions league and Europa, it is possible. Even in football, it is possible.

I have a soft spot for premiership clubs. I could remember Liverpool performing wonders against Inter Milan in one of the champions league final during the reign of Steven Gerrard and Clarence Seedorf , the facinating match that saw Liverpool coming from behind to equal at 3:3 on FT and later winning on penalty with 3:2. So today, who will be the Steven Gerrard of Liverpool that will get them out of this dilemma. All that Atlanta needs is to cancel them out to a goal and they will struggle harder. Anyway, it is football, we see how it goes .

To Be Or Not To Be

I don't know how possible is going to be but I think Liverpool may/will qualify today following what they have being playing in their previous meeting and i believe kloop will start with his full squad because it's only that cup and premier league they have left. Like I said nothing is actually impossible in football I feel what Liverpool did to Barcelona some years back in UCL is what is actually going to happen today.
Atalanta at home has never conceded more than 2 goals in this season (all competitions).
And in this season, Liverpool ever won 3 times with a difference of 3 goals or more when away,
Sparta vs Liverpool 1-5
Brentfod vs Liverpool 1-4
Bournemounh vs Liverpool 0-4

Liverpool needs a miracle to win by 3 goals or more in this 2nd leg, Atalanta players morale is high and I doubt that they will play defensively from the first minute.
My prediction is 1-1 or 0-1 for Liverpool.

Anything can happen in football, but taking a rational view I don't see them qualifying
All it would take is a single goal by Atalanta and their built up spirit would die.
They don't have to only score at least 4 goals but also prevent Atalanta from scoring
That's a dauting task to me.
They can give their best but I still believe is going to be hard for them to qualify.

Despite being down 3-0 in the aggregate score, they can still qualify if they can get one or two goals in the first half. It'll depend on Atalanta if they suddenly make mistakes to give Liverpool the chance to score at least three goals to force ET and penalties. Also, it depends on the starting players they put up because they could sub out some of their key players and prioritize their two upcoming league matches next week to continue their fight for the title.

Tha season, Liverpool have being performing at the best and having topped the premier league table for a long time in the season that give us some hope and Trust in the ability of the club to qualify for the finals most especially seeing what have happened to Arsenal last night, but then we must trust in the luck factor but if I were the coach, I will start the match with the top players so that we can take advantage of the opportunities in the early starts.

Nonetheless we rely on hopes to get that best shot tonight and as Liverpool fans, we believe in the squad's to bring home the title.

Well nothing is actually impossible in football but the chance of Liverpool qualifying is within the range of 40-60% but if you check in their last match with Atlanta they didn't actually start with their main squad, I dont know if the coach was thinking is a work over match or something but one thing I found out in their previous meeting is that people who is in away mostly win and I think it's a history for them or that's how they always play, though Liverpool was in charge of the game but they still later lose the match and they were at home, so I'm suspecting there's something in this their away winning and their goal margin is always 2 and above.

I don't know how possible is going to be but I think Liverpool may/will qualify today following what they have being playing in their previous meeting and i believe kloop will start with his full squad because it's only that cup and premier league they have left.
