Cryptonight coins are still really good for CPU-only miners.  I've mined Monero off and on.  Is primecoin still CPU-only, or has it moved up to GPUs, etc?  It's not worth too much, but if you only have CPU...

As long as I know, all coins using the cryptonight hashing algorythm (Monero, Bytecoin, Aeon, DigitalNote, etc.) are quite CPU-friendly. It's still a bit better to mine them with GPU, but the advantage is not that big if you have a new CPU which has the AVS/AVX instruction set.

You can check out a coin called Zoin, i think their algorithm is a CPU only algorithm, i like these coins as they give mining capabilities to almost anyone.

this kind of mining is unfeasible .. since the processors and GPU of a cell phone are infinitely smaller than a PC .. if it were you I would rather sell the cell phone .. and try to buy a lower machine with a good processor and perform mining via CPU will be more profitable than burning your Mobile ..

As per topic, maybe something that depends on something only available in CPU?

Far out there, but would it be possible to design an algo that only performs with a branch predictor or some other component only found on CPU?
