I currently signed up to a telegram chat @Coinbase_EarnOFFICIALBot  for an investment
They also have live transactions @CoinbaseEarnPayments
They are asking for 50,000 satoshi so I can withdraw as the transaction fee cannot be reversed I,m worried I might lose it if it is a scam any help would be appreciated also there is 9000 subscribers.

Coinbase can't get so low to be running stuff like this on telegram. People create such bots with names of popular organisations/projects just to look real and scam people. Don't send out anything to them, you're not gonna get anything in return. It's a waste of resources.

Do not be in a hurry sending you need to confirm first if they are official affiliated to Coinbase, Telegram has become the most dangerous place to be, because of the so many users sending you messages about tempting offer, all the telegram groups that you are a part of has a pined message that they will not send you offer.
And you should be aware that users can change their username and add prefix to make them appear that they are legit and affiliated to one company.

Just think of it, why would someone ask you to deposit money to be able to withdraw money?
It doesn't make sense, right!
Why don't they deduct withdrawal fees from the money you won then send you the rest!
Telegram bots are usually scams so stay away from them especially when they ask you to deposit first.
in telegrams are quite a number of scammers, even bots like that. Well, so far I am not really interested in developments in telegrams, such as a bot, Ponzi scheme, and others. even some people sometimes do direct messages and then offer investments like that.

do not be easily fooled just because of the large ROI, bonuses, and others.

Ignore it and don't send any funds to them,  else you gonna blame yourself,  telegram is a heaven for scammers,  lots  of messages  from anonymous people about investing in their platforms you've got to be careful  if you are having any transaction there,

Exactly, it's very unusual thing if such kind of investment or whatever you call it asks you to deposit in order to withraw? What the hell? @OP And please, stop getting bait on this stuff where you can earn freely in the beginning because there's no such legit thing! Most of it only makes you hype at first and then find ways to scam you in the end. I'm glad you asked here first before investing on it, at least you saved your money from being wasted.

Don't invest in an HYIP site. HYIP have issues if you ask many people about it. HYIP is the same as pyramid scheme/ponzi scheme which is not very good to do. Another obvious thing to know is they ask you to deposit money before you are able to withdraw your asset in your wallet or account.

50,000 satoshi's for what? for withdrawal? where did you learn about that telegram group? it's been exposed that a number of scams are staying on telegram to fool investors and give them false information about the kind of investment crypto.

It's not even the official telegram of Coinbase. As said on this blog, they don't have a telegram support.

https://blog.coinbase.com/anatomy-of-a-telegram-scam-9fd3dfb8c310

Coinbase does not provide support through Telegram, nor do we have any authorized groups or channels.

also there is 9000 subscribers.
Subscribers especially only 9000 is like $10 to buy or even if $100 its nothing to buy credibility.
This should not be indication for you if its scam or not.
Its easy to be sure here, its not serious proceedings, so its a scam. Nobody serious woud ask for 50000 satoshi to complete "deal".

Yes, I saw someone here selling followers for cents. It is easy to buy an account and start scamming right away. I am sure it is just a bot that randomly messages users automatically over time. So it probably has a success rate as well. That is how devious scammers are. So for every 1000 people, it messages 1 falls for it. 50k satoshi seems not so much. I guess if you have 10 people a day falling for this it can become a lot of money over time.

What have you done to find out if the subscribers are real or not?

The mode on how they contacted you for their “investment” is already a red flag plus they are impersonating Coinbase for their program. Other than that you will see that the retirms are unbelievable/unrealistic for a real investment. Good thing that you have a grasped on seeing what scams are in the internet and be comfortable on seeing them on platforms such as Telegram and also Twitter and Facebook since the scammers always hunt for victims their. Other than that you really don't have that a lot of investment options lying around in the industry it's either  you trade on a crypto exchange or go for a low paying and legit cloudmining operation.

Yes, investments are too random. You can't calculate and give an exact percentage with an investment. When people give you a number it is a red flag for sure. You can say you are calculating according to historical data though.

Better just invest in some good projects tbh.

Many of us just say that it is a scam, and that is right. No matter how much they ask you to send to them, it will end by losing all the money you give to them. The profits show us that the investment will end into the scam investment because that is too good to believe. As far as I know, if the profit of the investment will be bigger than 30%, it will make me suspicious, and I will stay away from them. But if you invest in bitcoin, I am sure, and I believe that you can make more than 30% in a long time. I hope that you don't send any amount of satoshi because that will only scam you in the end.

It is obviously a PONZI scheme scam.

You can smell the scam 99% of the time when someone is asking money from you to give more money to you at the end of the operation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme

Others flags on this screenshot are:

Unreal ROI
50% daily is not sustainable

Fast Credit
As above they can't give you money free forever for no reason

Withdraw after 24 hours.
Probably someone here will have their money, this is a classic Ponzi. They need money to be able to pay someone on their list.
When they have enough money they will start to pay some random account to get some "positive feedback" in this way they will be ready to do an Exit scam.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exit_scam

Do not trust anyone for anything if they are giving free money for no reason especially if they want money from you on their first step.

Please do not focus on number of subscribers they can be bought. The plan that they have mentioned does not seem practical. There are too many such schemes running on telegram once they get enough funds the profile and the group will be vanished. If the guy is that smart enough and has a solid idea for profit then he will never disclose or offer it to all. I would keep it for himself.

Once who does not have the backbone to earn in right way takes such path.

imagine this scenario:
hypothetically assume i have a way of actually making 50% profit on the money i have every day. do i really need other people's money to work? you see how dumb that sounds! even if i started with a very small amount of money like a hundred bucks i could become a millionaire in a short time! from $100 to $1.12 million in 24 days to be exact.

do you understand why something like what you posted is a very obvious scam? they lure you in with the promise of ridiculously high returns, take your money and run away.

This is a famous scam method tho scam beginners with telegram bot. My opinion is don't send your money to anyone. There are a lot of scam things on telegram. Any telegram channel or group can purchase subscribers and members. Then subscribers or members are not a thing to decide that channel or group legit or scam. Then be careful with that kind of scammers.

Currently telegram application is a widely use for hyip programs, scammers use trusted website names to make sure they are legit.
It should be noted that every program offering large return in the short term is definitely a scam, don't even believe that your close friends recommended it.
Have you ever thought where they get the money to pay the promised interest? They pay it from new members who deposit their funds and will continue to do so, they will stop paying when no one else deposits funds in them.

A platform that promises you 50% of your investment daily is obviously scam you don't need anyone to tell you that and the fact that they used the name of a well known company (Coinbase) is another flag for you to know that it's pure scam even paying HYIP's won't tell you 50% daily.

Once you saw some of these description: (examples)

"Investment plans"

"10% , 50%, 100% etc. every 24 hours"

"Guaranteed profits"

"Make money with us"

Your common sense should now tell you that it's an obvious scam. Not just in Telegram but on all platforms. All Telegram bots who offer a service like that is a complete scam. It's like the common Telegram faucets or games in the past wherein during the withdrawal process, they will ask you to deposit first.

For a newbie like yourself you have done pretty well of being skeptical and spotting scams like this one and you are right this is indeed a scam waiting to happen for you. Any kind of service, social media account, or business impersonating the real thing for this matter, Coinbase, is an absolute scam if they ever done a giveaway they won't promote it and tell it on an external app they will announce it in their website or any of their official social media accounts not through a Telegram channel.  Not only wallets are being impersonated but also other entities part of the industry one of the worst things I saw is when a lot of fake social media accounts impersonated several news media websites (e.g. Coinidol, Coindesk, Cointelegraph) and tried to promote their scam directly to the comment are of their posts. If someone approach you and carrying a name you are familiar offering up a sketchy deal (or any kind of investment opportunity that is to good to be true)then back out of it immediately.

The number of people in a Telegram channel or a Discord channel or wherever you might find other schemes doesn't really matter at the end of the day, either- the number of users in a channel can pretty easily be faked or the owner of a channel could be making accounts to boost the user count.

Don't ever risk any money on an HYIP. There's a significant chance you might lose all of your funds through a HYIP, and you're honestly better off just gambling that money. HYIPs are generally extremely easy to spot, as most of them offer unrealistically high rates of return. Always remember- if something's too good to be true, it definitely is.

The maximum investment site is a scam don't invest there. I think long term investment on the best altcoin more safer than other investment sites.

"Coinbase" in the name, asking for money, ridiculous yield percentage. Yes, it's a scam.

There are no legitimate investments like that, and Coinbase is not going to ask you on telegram to send them money.

Do not send anything in advance, even if it were 100 satoshi. I will take a look at the group now.

EDIT: It does not seem to be asking for 50k to scam you that 50k..

However - this is a HYIP:

Quote
➕ Welcome! Here you can start a new investment!

💵 We offer a single Investment plan, able to offer you the best profit!

➡ Our plan starts from 0.001 BTC

⏱ Profit will be credited 50% every 24 hours, for 3 days: 50% daily !

So keep in mind what you send to them you may get a portion or nothing back or 50% daily as they promise - it is shady to say the least.

What are you owed? (i.e. what amount do you want to send 50k to possibly get?)
