Evil beware: We have waffles!
You'd be foolish to buy now, wait until the 1.5nm comes out...  Roll Eyes

I am waiting for the Aladdin to come out.

It has a lamp shaped design allowing it to hash at a full ten percent of the entire network at a mere rub of the casing.
Ah, but is it also Endothermic like the Foxminer? The nice cool air pouring off of it is wonderful in the summertime... No doubt hotter'n Hell in the dimension where the heat goes tho...

Yes. It would indeed still be profitable to buy and use antminer S9 today since the power requirements are low and the mining gain is high because of the rising prices for bitcoins. I would recommend to buy it right now to get the most profit.

3.5nm is a pipe dream so remote this is the first time I've heard anyone even mention it. 7nm is a pipe dream at least two years away. Even 10nm for practical/reliable use is at least a year away. Remember there are only about two places on the planet one can order up 14/16nm designs, and only about two places on the planet currently even attempting 10nm fabrication.

If you check out Mining Speculation, you'll find more discussion on how foolish it is to expect anyone to put up 7nm miners in any kind of timeframe to affect current utility of S9s.

Agree.

@OP, don't let others fool you.

Hi guys, There are two technology giants Japanese company DMO and Samsung coming in mining with new 7nm and 3.5nm chips according to news. Can anybody tell me how long Antminer s9 will be profitable?

What news? Be highly skeptical of promises of magical new chip fab techniques coming. It's extremely hard to get 7nm and 3.5nm chips, and companies like Intel, Apple, and NVidia who have spent billions on R&D aren't quite there yet.

How is the development of Antminer S9. Is it the number one in the world? It's interesting. I just heard with this one.

but newer products will cost more and older products tends to decrease in pricing. Isn't that a factor to consider?

Once new products come out, old products quickly lose their competitiveness and should be careful
