Are you joking? STAR other bitcoin? I know that it is very actively hype certain resources, but most likely they just paid it. It's not a remarkable coin.
STAR Coin is the next BITCOIN, and a large number of people will be investing their money in big amount soon and STAR Coin will be going to rise up its price in huge value in the future. the are busy for its progress and it will sooner be a successful coin.

Please do not touch that coin, I look at the team they seems very confusing IMO and do not know what they are doing, if they do know what they are doing, I think they don't know how to do it, ICO was postponed for several months and when it was over even during ICO bull run was unable to list their tokens on a good exchange

Look like a dead project with no future, the value of Bitcoin doesnt come from the code, or actual utility but the network effects, the strong confidence of its community creates the value of Bitcoin, I didnt see that in Star coin, will avoid it.
I think it's a long dead network and a coin that has no future. Although the project has promised to be promising at the beginning... like many others...

Yeah. I've noticed this after leaving the Starcoin wallet open for a few hours. I got no connections to the Starcoin network. So, why would I want to invest in it if there are no nodes to support the network. Being as it is, it looks like the coin is dead. Unless, somebody decides to run at least a full node then I could start syncing the wallet right away.
The one thing that has attracted me of this coin was the PoS rate %.
It doesnt look like anyone anywhere has bought much of star coin. Im not sure that promoting it as the next bitcoin is going to do you much favours. Looks kind of like one of those coins that youve never heard about that i would have bought when i first started with bitcoin thinking it will go to the moon at some point when in reality the dev runs of with your money development stops before its started and it gets delisted before you get a chnace to get rid of a single coin. I could be wrong though, maybe it will tower over bitcoins market cap.

Wow this thread and it's thought provoking title really motivated me to look into STAR Coin!
Glad it has brought your attention! I just downloaded the wallet but I am getting no connections to the Starcoin network at all. It would be great if someone could give me a list of nodes for me to get started syncing the wallet. Even though the coin does not have enough volume on Yobit exchange, it would be great to grab just a few coins just in case this explodes in price.

The name is unique and hope that people take interest in this coin, on exchange I am seeing a lot of people are investing in there on large scale, I think as the price is much lower so I should have to put a few bits in there. I hope that I will have to wait for longer for its price increase.

Yeah I thought about this when I saw the ANN thread. Also, there are no connections to the Starcoin network (when opening the wallet for a few minutes) so I think this coin is already dead. There isn't much interest into it as well as no buy support in Yobit.

Oh in that case, I will give this a try. At first it seemed a little odd to me, now that I couldn't find it anywhere on Coinmarketcap. Since it is relatively new, it may take a while before it gets listed there. And yeah, the ANN has no roadmap and there is only Yobit exchange for it. Since the OP has newbie rank, (and only 1 post count) it may certainly be to get some attention for the coin.

By STAR COIN do you mean Startcoin? If so, then I might become very successful in the future, but I highly doubt that it will ever be the next Bitcoin. Could you give a good reason to invest in it now? By the looks of it, prices have been moving slow for Startcoin but I may soon change if what you're saying is correct. Anyways, I'm interested to know more about this STAR Coin or Startcoin (if it is the one I think of)
