We can all use whatever unit we desire.  There will never be a group, nor top-down, decision to either switch or not switch currency units.

Good for those who are new to Bitcoin, and those with alot of Bitcoin.

Annoying to those who have known about Bitcoin for a long time.

Bitcoinity has now switched the default unit in which they report prices to mBTC - do you think the exchanges should follow suit just yet?

Personally I have already changed my client to read using mBTC since it is easier to look at 1.59 for example as $1.59 than 0.00159 as it is closer to the 1 unit of measurement = 1 fiat measure. Probably just a matter of preference but given the enormous uptake in bitcoin in the past 12 months, would it be easier to now make this subunit of bitcoin the default since realistically the price is going to only increase and the finite nature of the network?
