There is a big difference between someone who buys and sells as a hobby and who can exit whenever they want to.

I am here to say the Robert / KaboomRacks is legit. I trust them. As a full time broker myself, I’ve bought and sold a lot of gear with him.

In late Q1 and early Q2 of 2019, the prices of used S9 miners went from $135 to $250 almost over night and to $325 then to $500 within the matter of literally a couple of weeks as the price of bitcoin soared. Miners became very scarce quickly. Brokers who took money from their buyers hard to option of:

1) trying to fulfill the orders for the original price

2) asking their buyers to send more money

3) waiting until the price of miners went back down and try to fill

4) refunding the buyer

Depending on what the purchase agreement / contract states, the broker might need to exchange crypto for fiat or fiat for crypto at a certain exchange rate. If the price of bitcoin is volatile, it can put the broker at a big disadvantage and quickly become an unprofitable venture.

Brokering used miners is a hard job.

Yeah even I tried to broker a few D3 and made a couple successful deals back in 2017, but how is any of what you say related to what this post is about? This post isn't about whats profitable for brokers and what's not, it's about a random dude trying to sell some miners.

So please make your stance clear on what you are here for.

As for Kaboomracks. I have never heard of em before, like I said, I've dabbled in selling mining hardware when it was profitable to do so, when it wasn't I exited. But many scammers lurked around and made the scene really shady. Every second broker was boasting for "years of experience" when none existed. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaboomracks were/are one of those types.

No Van Kirk cannot be trusted I am currently suing him in Texas for fraud we paid for 300 S9 back in April for 175 each and never received the good. Dont trust him if anyone wants proof please contact me direct. He will have no excuse within the law for what he is doing. Also I am not only one a few more have said same and waited 5-6 months for refund or machines. I am sure he sells and most deals are legit and good but not mine or a few of people we know of with similar stories.

That is some serious accusation, I have not had any direct deals with Robert Van Kirk, but a few people whom I trust a lot did vouch for him, for all I know kaboomracks have been there for long enough and they have good reputation within the miners' community in Telegram, I am not saying that you are lying, but there must be some sort of explanation from Robert regarding the story.

OP if you don't trust Robert or any other reseller for that matter - by all means, if you are making a large deal, spend a few hundred dollars on a flight ticket and  go pick your gears up ,or at least use forum escrow.

I have done business with Robert on several occasions. My total transactions through Kaboom Racks to date exceeds $100,000.00. My purchases have been about 80% ASIC units and remaining 20% various infrastructure hardware for build outs. Robert has on several occasions gone out of his way to meet me at a sellers location to facilitate inspection. He provides a Sellers warranty to buyers. He facilitates and or accepts escrow. He is extremely professional and reliable. I will continue to do business with Kaboom racks and continue to recommend friends and acquaintances to him. Kaboom Racks is a trustworthy re seller. I am new here and have limited PM's. If you have any questions feel free to email me at [email protected]. I'd be happy to try and help.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
It doesn't actually matter if the guy's a reseller with trust or no trust. Just get an escrow from the forum if you don't know anyone, they'll charge at maximum 5%, which is a hell lot of an insurance for something this big of an investment. You want to spend money on hardware, even cheaper second-hand rigs, then you want peace of mind. And yes, read the trust comments. Sometimes, the score isn't reflective of the actual trading reputation.

I would not trust this person.

If you are considering doing business with him, you should use escrow.
Wow. It's really hard to trust a user when even QS says they are untrustworthy.

Sorry QS, but your trust is hella red on my end.

Thanks for the recommendation of escrow.

I would refer you to the comments on my trust profile. None are claiming a scam nor scam attempt.

Most likely, you are going to be wasting time trying to trade with him.

I see kaboomracks selling a lot of hardware potentially

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49994500

but the only thing you find is a linked in profile

https://www.linkedin.com/in/robertvankirk/

and their telegram channel

http://www.t.me/kaboomracks

Their BPIP rating is non existent https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=kaboomracks

I am interested in their listing of antminer s9 rigs but I want to know they are legit first.

Can anyone vouch for them besides the one review on their trust rating from user Norm MacDonald(Auto Banned User)?

I just purchased S9's from these folks. I actually drove out to their DC and physically picked them up. I can tell you without reservation, that these people are not only legitimate but very professional and easy to deal with. Everything they said about the units is true and they are stored in a safe and secure environment. They even allowed me to boot up a couple for a "batch test" which gave me even greater comfort. I experienced excellent hospitality and their people were very helpful loading the miners and PSU's into my vehicle. I would recommend this seller without reservation or hesitation and would definitely do business with them again.
