I'd also wait for a few months before I start using them again. At least all tokens that are listed on Kucoin agreed to make a swap so Kucoin doesn't have to spend a lot of money buying those tokens back from other markets. Compared to other hacks, this might have a better chance to be solved without declaring bankruptcy. Their reputation will take a while to recover though.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
As I said, I'm able to deposit bitcoin, but it seems like there are a ton of wallets that are in maintenance mode, and that kinda makes me anxious about their ability to survive this hack.
I think they are taking a gradual process to make deposits and withdrawals available. It probably involves working with different project partners whose coins or tokens were affected in the hack and also setting up new hot wallets. I see most of them have performed swaps, token burns or freezing of the stolen assets so maintenance mode of such wallets is in place to enable a smooth process of swapping.

Some projects that finished carrying out swaps have had deposits and withdraws enabled - https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-the-latest-updates-about-the-kucoin-security-incident
I also just hope all goes well with Kucoin. It's one of the few decent exchanges I have been using once in a while.

I unlocked this thread just to give an update about my recent experience with Kucoin.  As I said, I'm able to deposit bitcoin, but it seems like there are a ton of wallets that are in maintenance mode, and that kinda makes me anxious about their ability to survive this hack.

There have been a shitload of token swaps or forks, which may have to do with it. One would also hope they would play it safe in the immediate aftermath, in terms of wallet pen testing and overall hot wallet exposure. They were keeping way too much token value in hot wallets.

Play it by ear. I had 5 figure USD value on there. It was one of my "hold cash to buy the dip" exchanges. I'm just glad to have everything withdrawn now.

Yobit is notorious for keeping some of the shittiest coins available to trade and at the same time not letting you withdraw them.  I don't want to see Kucoin end up in a state like that.  But man....there's no way I'm going to deposit any bitcoin on Kucoin if I can't withdraw the coins I want to buy (and right now it's just a small quantity of some obscure altcoins that I'm interested in buying).  Hopefully they get their problems settled soon, because personally I don't have many options as far as exchanges go.

I quickly visit my account today upon reading your post here, I successfully generated a new deposit Bitcoin address even also in altcoins address, it seems there's no problem with generating new addresses, all went smooth aside from Dash, and that's true. Regarding the FAQ page, ain't also have a problem browsing on it. (using Google Chrome, I never tried another browser). I never use this exchange a long time ago.

You can probably send them an email regarding this matter here, [email protected]. Or maybe it's working if you will click the "help" button and the main page for this issue. Because as I see the latest update provided above, they are freshly operated back considering there might some possible issues.

Maybe you have a pending BTC transaction on your old wallet but the Kucoin support team is the only way to learn the efficient solution for this error.
Nah, that wasn't it--and I have no idea what the problem was, but I just tried it again and I was able to generate a bitcoin deposit address.

But as far as Dash goes, I just get this:

as well as for Neblio, which is just a random coin that I tried to see if I could get a deposit address.  I'm not sure why Kucoin has got multiple coin wallets in maintenance mode, though I'm assuming it has to do with the investigation of the hack....or something related to that.

Well anyway, I'm glad they're still in business and I do hope they don't go under because of the hack.  It isn't as though the amount stolen was small.  Got my answer, and I thank everyone who tried to help.  Locking thread now.

No more Rekt and Bust
After reading your post, I worried and instantly checked the wallet balance on Kucoin. A few hours ago, I have deposited BTC(It is there) before leaving home and there was a newly generated BTC deposit address. BTW, the Kucoin main assets account shows not to deposit to old BTC addresses. Maybe you have a pending BTC transaction on your old wallet but the Kucoin support team is the only way to learn the efficient solution for this error.

I have logged into my Kucoin account both thought the mobile App and web browser, and I am able to generate my new bitcoin deposits address without any problem. Same for Ether and most coins i tried to test.

For Dash, it's true, the wallet is under maintenance Mode. Concerning the bitcoin address, maybe you can contact the Kucoin Livechat support for quicker help. The button is in the bottom right if you are using the web browser.

According to their latest announcement, deposit for most assets should be available by now: https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-the-latest-updates-about-the-kucoin-security-incident (Dash is not yet on the list so the error should be expected, BTC is claimed to be restored tho)

If you still can't generate the deposit address, maybe ask them on Telegram or open a ticket.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks my peeps.
Before the hack I had few NEO and ETH in their exchange and waiting for them to exchange but when the exchange was hacked I lost hope on them. But after they announced that they will enable withdrawal and deposit after one week, I was waiting and following them closely so that I can withdraw the coins if I get chance. Few days ago I checked and saw that the withdrawals are back and I was able to withdraw the funds successfully.

I never tried to deposit any yet so not sure about deposit. I will let you know later if I am able to get the address when I try.

I just logged into Kucoin and tried to deposit some bitcoin and was surprised to see that it gave me an error message saying it was unable to generate a deposit address.  Just to check that it was a problem with bitcoin only, I went through the steps to deposit Dash....but they gave me a message that Dash is in maintenance mode.

I haven't used Kucoin since they got hacked and haven't read a lot about what's been going on with them since it happened.  Does anyone have any inside poop as to whether they're still a functioning exchange or are they on their way out?  I also noticed their FAQ page was down, which I took to be an ominous sign.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks my peeps.
