Its a good thing that it was your VPN because in most cases most of the users who will receive a "forced holiday" status are accounts for under review with regards to fraud. Also based from what I have read in the past users who use free VPNs received this status as well and they are linking it too having the same IP address which is counted as a "suspicious activity" under them having multiple accounts using the same IP address or they are using a VPN location which the IP address is blocked for using LocalBitcoin.

Glad your account will be unlocked! You can really learn a good lesson from this -

No matter how trustworthy the exchange is, you should NEVER store your coins on an exchange wallet. The possibility is, they will lock you out of the accounts by introducing riddiculous conditions.

I do hope they unlock your account buddy.

Have you used localcryptos or Binance p2p?

Pros
Localcryptos - No KYC but the current transaction fees will not make you happy
Binance p2p - No fees but you do need kyc to use the exchange.

You were too hasty creating this thread on this scam board. Localbitcoins is an old system and the VPN was a major red flag. Of course they would have to block your account. This will be solved. I hope you then change your title and add a solved or something. I hate scammers and love to feel their burned smell in the morning but I dont think localbitcoins is one. Of course if Im wrong I will change this post.

Thanks! I think maybe i opened my browser with vpn, but i'm not sure, if i did, it was accidental, they haven't still answer since thursday (i think their support doesn't work weekends)

I'm just a little freaked because some people say that their account has been frozen for months or their support never answer. I'll update here daily my situation.
They became much stricter via KYC and AML a couple of years ago and lots of countries were blocked and restricted so when you used VPN. It probably triggered their system to block your account.

They don't talk about VPN use but In part of their ToS, this is what they say;
Quote
You must not provide any misleading or fraudulent information, including, but not limited to having a non-personal phone number. Creating fake reputation information for your account, faking your country of origin or providing fraudulent identification documents is prohibited and will lead to termination or suspension of your account.

Yes, but i think VPN was accidental, i mean, i live in Venezuela so i can't use Spotify here, i use vpn every 14 days to log in my Spotify account, i think i maybe  opened Chrome with my vpn still working and then the system blocked me.

I use localbitcoins almost every week (i have 500+ trades) so that's why i'm surprised, i have never did something fraudulent and i have passed T1 verification last year, so idk, i think it was a mistake

thank you for your response

Edit: i think i passed T1 two years ago, when it was implemented because KYC

I can't verify to T3 level because of my trade volumen. (it needs to be 100.000$ for that)
You can verify your account to tier 3 regardless of your annual trade volume. But as soon as you reach your tier's limit, you'll have to provide more verification documents to upgrade to the next tier.

I'm using a vpn since last week and maybe they locked my account for security reasons
This and the two failed transactions might be the reason why your account got locked.
Upload the documents they requested in order to fully verify your account and likely the ban will be lifted (if you really didn't break any if their rules).

Thanks, i'll wait!

But no, i cannot verify to T3 right now, the button color is gray and i cannot click it, besides, it says "Your trade volume must me 100.000€ in order to verify T3 level"

Thanks everyone, I will wait then, i always use my account to withdraw and deposit and I've never problem

I'm using a vpn since last week and maybe they locked my account for security reasons (in their ToS it says that maybe that could be a reason for temporal lock.

Hello everybody!

4 days ago my account went on "forced holidays" so i opened a support ticket and i haven't received an answer.

I tried to withdraw my coins but the page toldo me to verify my identity to T2 level (i was T1) and i still can't withdraw. I can't verify to T3 level because of my trade volumen. (it needs to be 100.000$ for that)
This is what happened then you left your coin on a custodial wallets for a longer time and for security reason the accounts are always locked and once there is any withdrawal attempt after a longer time been offline you must go through a thorough KYC to verify the account belongs to you.. Be patient and provide the necessary documents needed.

However, 5 days ago i tried to sell btc but two different traders cancelled because they got out of funds on their bank. I don't know if the system marked this as suspicious activity.
If you can't withdraw you can't trade either those transactions were cancelled by LocalBitcoins till you are verified you can't perform any transactions

I don't know if it was a mistake so i just need to wait the support to answer my ticket. anyone here had the same situation?
That's the basic con of using crypto wallets that you do not own the private keys/seed phrase just like in your case, judging by your explanations, I can't place the reason why your account has been blocked for now and only their support team can really unravel the mystery behind what went wrong, if you wait for some more time, you could drag them on social media and maybe create some awareness and attention to your case.
I really need to use my btc now because of COVID i have no work right now.
Have u stored your Bitcoin there for a pretty long time? To prevent a repeat of this scenario use only non-custodial wallets to store your Bitcoin so you can use your coins at your disposal, but it is what it is, so exercise patience a bit more, all hope is as yet not lost.

Your best bet will be to wait for their support to answer. Wait few more days, hopefully they will answer.

The other trader cancelled the trades so I do not see you have anything to do here. Once the support will answer I guess you will get a better picture of the issue.

My account is 4 years old (almost 5) and i haven't done anything wrong, never had any problems with any trader ir localbitcoins.

However, 5 days ago i tried to sell btc but two different traders cancelled because they got out of funds on their bank. I don't know if the system marked this as suspicious activity.
