- Is it like a carry-over of my excess posts from the previous 2 weeks in case I made more than 14?
Yes, but it doesn't necessarily have to be posts you made before that 2 week period. Posts you make after the 2 week period can also boost your activity. The important thing is that make at least one post within that 2 week period to "unlock" those 14 potential activity points.

- "Active" for the purpose of this topic means posting at least once in two weeks correct? This is necessary in order to have a potential activity of 14 if I posted once in 2 weeks.
Yes. You must make at least one post. If that post is later deleted though, leaving you with no posts in that 2 week period, then you will lose the potential activity points.

Thank you OmegaStarScream for the reply.

My follow up questions on point #2:
- Is it like a carry-over of my excess posts from the previous 2 weeks in case I made more than 14?
- "Active" for the purpose of this topic means posting at least once in two weeks correct? This is necessary in order to have a potential activity of 14 if I posted once in 2 weeks.

14 post are enough for two weeks. No matter how many post you make within the two week time it would still count 14 activity points but your post count is not the same as the activity points as you can get post count by positing without waiting two weeks before it increase. Post above explained it already.

#1 & #3 are both correct.

Regarding your second point: You don't necessarily have to make 14 posts per two weeks:

1. You have 89 posts and 42 activity. If you only post once during the next 3 activity reset periods, your activity would still increase to 56, 70 and then 84. On the 4th period, you'll end up having 89 activity unless you post more (activity cannot be higher than your postscounts)

2. Also, there is what's called "potential activity". If for example, you have 248 (both posts and activity) and decide to post once every two weeks period for 2 periods (a month), your activity will be at 250 but you have the potential to reach 276 (once you start posting again).

Thanks to the links provided by DdmrDdmr in my other topic, I was able to learn a little about the forum's activity. I also read another related topic and noticed that the logged in time is not being considered in counting activity.

Let me summarize what I understand from reading these topics:
- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-definitive-explanation-of-how-activity-works-495948

1. Account activity will increase by 14 maximum points every two weeks. It's 14 days, 6 minutes, 40 seconds to be exact but let's stick to 2 weeks.
2. In order to get 14 points, I need to make 14 or more posts within two weeks. If I have less than 14, only my post number will be added to the count.
3. The same applies to all users whether their added logged in time for 2 weeks is 30 minutes, 1 hour, or two hours. The activity counter doesn't care.

Please correct me if I missed something here but if my understanding of the activity count is correct, I was wondering if it's good to add logged in time to the equation? What I mean is that those who spend more time in the forum should have a higher activity count. I would appreciate if someone could entertain my curiosity here.
