And it's hard to say about this but I have you minergate personally many times but I found they are using my username and password to hack My accounts and they are using my computer power in the background by a small virus or program called coin miner. Whenever I install MinerGate, my antivirus started Alarming and mostly it removes it as soon as it downloads. I will advise others to use some other miner which have a good reputation in the market like cg miner or any other Miner.

1. Same team behind "Changelly", which has a lot of complaints.

That for me would be reason enough to ditch Minergate entirely. I have had to deal with Changelly in a negative manner as well, which was at the time I was looking to convert BTG into BTC, and the transaction was non existent for more than 24 hours. After quite a hefty delay in response on Twitter, they sent a message just stating 'solved'. No sorry or something in the form of an apology. I even asked them what the reason was because I had more BTG to convert, but have never heard anything back from them. I luckily got my Bitcoins, but there are loads of people not having seen anything back from them. For that reason I don't even understand why Coinomi is still using them....

It's not a scam right now, but if they keep treating their customers in a poor manner, they'll ruin their reputation more and more, which at some point might give them the impression that they have nothing to lose anymore, and then bemmmm. Ignoring this service is the best way to fight it, because the only thing where they can be hit successfully, is their wallet. No usage means no income for them.

Hello, I have heard of minergate before and I was interested in getting it to mine on my computer. It looks like a very nice gui however, some people are saying that it was a scam and will use your computer. So I was wondering before I get it is it a scam or should I be fine using it just like any other software.
I cant say they are scam but somehow acts shady same as SFR said above. You would really need to use up your computer on mining coins that they are suggesting but i wont recommend such stuff since you wont really able to make use of your pic fully specially when you are using both CPU+GPU mining. In terms of profitability then this would be an another story because you would only earn some dust which isnt really worth at all.

Some people could tell it if it is a scam by putting all the possibilities of how good it is by the looks just like what SFR10 said. The same team that already made a mess and their reputation has already have a flaw on the other project which means it is not advisable to put your money on it. So you better stay away on that and spread the news to your friends.

It appears to be in some form at least. The hashrate you get for your mining devices is lower compared to other automatic miners like Winminer and Nicehash. I consider this a scam as they are getting a good part of your hashrate from your devices for themselves. While you may not care about this as you are a newbie and only want to try mining there are also a lot of complaints against them regarding withdraws. So Minergate if it is not a total scam is at least 50% scam. You can try Winminer as the easiest way to mine with your PC or Nicehash if you are an intermediate user as Nicehash does real benchmarks while Winminer does a very fast one.

Minergate can be used to mine the many cheap altcoins in the market but still they would not be find the guranteed payment as SFR mentioned here. Personally I have tried with my quad 2 core PC but it does not work perfectly. Driver error may passes in the windows platform.

I uninstalled it and later after sometime I have installed it back but it asks to sign in but did not work with the same e-mail and signed up with the e-mail too. Please look into invest on best GPU mining rig, instead looking for this.

It looks like a very nice gui however,
Looks can be deceiving.

some people are saying that it was a scam and will use your computer.
Even though there's no 100% proof, nobody would deny the fact that they're somehow shady.

1. Same team behind "Changelly", which has a lot of complaints.
2. The results are always a lot lesser than what you can earn through other pools.

It's only good for "Newbie" users that want an easy way to try things but wouldn't recommend it for a long term.
