As of now it's hard to find a passive income of digital currency. I have read a tutorial about mining ethereum using 6 1070 gpu. The price of each gpu cost a lot. May I ask if making a mining rig of 6 gpu still profitable? And if it does, how much month will i make ROI for it.

There are a lot of tools to calculate your profit within a day or a month. One of them is https://whattomine.com/
You can fill it your GPU specification there. Anyway, I think this post should on mining board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

I think it’s not profitable because the ROI we need is more than 6 month and the earning for 6 gpu is more than the cost for electricity

Maybe it will be profitable if you try to mine another coins

Just $30/month with 168 MH/s?
If that is the case then I guess its much better to just mine something else. XMR seem to be a better option. There are much more good coins to mine and just keep mining as sort of investment while the price still is cheaper. The question though is when will their price rocket up.

Remember about 1 1070 GPu can give you around 28 MH/s But 1070 and 1070ti was different for the result of hashrate power. As the pre increase of ethereum difficulty and that makes the result of ethereum reward to the miners has been decreasing a half. Just a simple math for that. For each GPU you can get 28MH/s and then you have around 6 GPU.
28 x 6 = 168 Mh/s for the total hashrate powers that have owned by you.
I give you a link to the mining calculator from reliable source and that used the latest difficulty of ethereum.
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth?HashingPower=168&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=2800&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1
It looks like you will get back your ROI after you spend a lot of years to do that. Remember about the next update of ether will be another difficulty increase to support casper pos and i can say don't do that as per Ether will be migrating to the Pos in the future.

depending on the specification of your gpu. if the gpu qualified will take a fairly short time. and if the specification is down, it will feel old. it can all produce results, just waiting time.
