Define safe. Some make mining unsafe by overloading their sockets with too much power and extension cables still wound up.

If you follow common sense then yes. It is safe

Its seems like safe, if you use known mining programs you can check the codes on github. Also don't forget nothing is fully safe.

Is mining safe?

Yes, but only if you're wearing a helmet.

If you do know what you are doing, it's safe. If it's not the case, you may get some money lost on it.
Basically, cryto-mining is quite funny, so to avoid any losses, it's better if you do a quick research.

Is mining safe? Which coin can I start mining?

What made mining dangerous?
Open cut hazards are principally mine wall failures and vehicle collisions; underground mining hazards include suffocation, gas poisoning, roof collapse, rock burst, outbursts, and gas explosions. Firedamp explosions can trigger the much-more-dangerous coal dust explosions, which can engulf an entire pit.

What is hazards of mining?
Issue. Underground mining, by its nature, presents a range of health and safety hazards that are different from those in other sectors. Some hazards, such as ground instability, are inherent in the underground environment.

Yes it is safe if you know what you are doing,if you are knoledgable about the process in mining. Since mining gets too much electricity make sure your electricity or outlets can sustain the needs in mining, the heat also might cause damage to your computer and make sure your anti virus is functioning well because for sure since you are mining there also virus might be included and stay on your computer and damage it so be careful on it.

I do not understand what you mean here safely .. if you're mining using unknown software of course .. while in a device used as long as you use the appropriate mining device I guess it does not matter during regular checks and checks .. mining is only problematic if you use your smartphone or your laptop

With a million+ GPUs and CPUs mining at this very minute it's obviously safe if you know what you're doing. The important thing is to research, use common sense safety measures, and research some more.

As long as you can keep your temps under control your cards should be fine.

In my opinion it isn't safe. Every software is potentially risky, but don't matter the whole Internet isn't safe. We are still building software like cars were built in the 2th's of past century.
The software uses so many libaries which maybe buggy or have zero-day exploits within.
And in my opinion the hole domain of cryptomining cryptography is build and concepted with mayor influence from secret services.

Can anyone tell me, what we are mining and what kind of "excercices" we solve?

It's outsourced work in my opinion  Grin

Mining is a risk.  Running an application in your computer or mobile phone expose you to virus infections.  Just make sure that you have a security app to check downloads.

Downloading an unknown app is a risk.  Running a known safe app usually does not increase risk.

Having said that, good AV/security goes a long way to reducing overall risk.

I've been hacked once (they got nothing though) through LogMeIn.  Somehow they were able to get my password for that service and remoted into a laptop that I had an empty bitcoin wallet.  I saw the session mid way through and let it finish just to fuck with them.  I then disabled LogMeIn and do not remote in to my miners anymore.

Another time (as a result of the Heartbleed exploit) I lost a few Peercoin I was mining because the hackers gained access to my account page on the mining pool (I forget which one) and redirected my payouts.  They didn't get much.

If you are security-conscious then do nothing with your mining rig except mining.  Do not access email or facebook or anything else to reduce the possibility of an attack.  I also use my mining rigs as my staking machines, so they do contain some coins.  All are password protected and  so on.  If I need to transfer funds to an exchange I copy the wallet to a thumbdrive and load it on another computer and then send from there.

You cannot run the applications of computer, laptop or mobile else you will damage them due to overheating. If any one needs to mine the coin then you would have to get the mining rig and operate properly with all the equipment etc. Else you will make a loss of your laptop, mobile as it will get destroyed.

It depends on what type of security you are talking about, there are safety precautions where you are going to be mined, where you will store your coins and the type of pool you use to mine.

yeah is save but you will follow the mining process. So first you will follow the mining process. mining is gather more power so i it need to more energy. mining is counit the all networking process. it will helpful to for the future improvement. It need to start the mining you will need to altcoin so you will save it for the mining process.

I didn't get in which context you are asking about safety. You can start mining bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies depending on your mining hardwares.
